Hi, I am planning to buy a sonos 5 and a turntable to start listening to old LPs, I would also like to listen to old CD collections, the questions are:

  1. Can you recommend a CD player I should buy?
  2. Can I use the external port on the sonos 5 for a CD player.
  3. Is it possible to use a twin adapter so I can have both CD and Turntable connected to the single Sonos 5 external port?

Thanks

What is your budget? You could use a basic portable CD player with an AUX OUT or even an old DVD or Blu-ray player.

Even something like this could work:

Can I use the external port on the sonos 5 for a CD player?

Yes, you can connect a CD player to the line-in port on the Sonos Five.

Yes, an audio switch like this would work:
https://www.amazon.com/Switcher-Passive-Headphone-Selector-Splitter/dp/B08F2VTFBN/

NOTE: Be sure your turntable has a built-in phono preamp.

Hi - thanks everything answered.

Will order sonos 5, turntable, CD Player and audio switch over next few days.
