What to get

I have recently got a new TV and it is wall mounted, i already have Sonos One’s around the home and I really like them. But I wanted to know what the best kind of setup is to use with a tv? Can you use a play bar wirelessly or have multiple One’s around the room all connected wirelessly to the tv?

I am thinking about getting a Sonos Play 5 unit to replace my existing Marshall Woburn speaker. I like to listen my music loud and huge fan of heavy metal. My room is like 350 sq ft area. Can this new Sonos Play 5 be able to replace my existing Marshall Woburn which is pretty loud and clear audio.

I need new speakers, but I do not know which model to choose, my living room is approx. 25 m2. I have a Sonos Playbar and have ordered a Sonos SUB, but should I choose a set of Play, Play 1 or Play 3 as rear speakers?

I have one outdoor speaker, and it's wires are inside the house. Can I connect a Sonos Connect directly to this speaker wire, or would I need to get a Connect:Amp instead?

So I have my entire home Sonos, 8 zones, including ceiling speakers in bathrooms, garage, Play:1, 3, 5's Sound Bar, Sub etc. Except for my backyard! I wanted to mount 2 Play:3's and 1 Play:5 but then thought better of it with the rain, dust etc. I was thinking I could put covers over them when not in use, but don't really see any good covers like cover mate makes for outdoor furniture. So I guess I am stuck with another Connect:Amp. My yard isn't large being in Vegas, its 80' by 30' but then also has a 20x25' covered patio. So Pool just was finished, and really need to decide what I am putting out there now, because if I have to wire speakers, I want to do it with PVC burried 6" under ground before I landscape. Question is, I use a Sub inside when I have a Connect:Amp to Ceiling speakers, so what speakers is recommended or is someone using outside right now? Do you also have a Sub hooked up? Hi - I bought a sonos one about 4 months back and returned it due to limited alexa functionality. Presently have two paired 1's. Dig 'em, but my main frustration is I can't play anything through them besides spotify and those few other connected services. I'd like to be able to play anything on my phone on my speakers (sleep sounds, other apps, etc). I'm thinking Sonos one and Alexa got me closer to that (at least being able to play some of the other Alexa apps like sleep sounds through the speakers). Anyway - long story short, now that they are offering a pair of One's for only $350 I can upgrade my paired 1's to paired ones for just $50. Seems like a no brainer but wondering if there's anything I'm missing on this...

I own an Insignia receiver ns-str514. I am looking to purchase a Sonos system. Not sure if I could use it on the receiver or do I just need a Sonos. I have it connected to the speakers in the yard for the summer and in the winter I connect it to the speakers in the house. I am trying to avoid that. Want to keep it connected all the time to all speakers. What is my best way to go about this.?

I just bought a play 5, but I cannot decide if I should do a play 5, playbar, and two play 1's, or if I should return the play 5 and do the same setup except use a sub instead of a play 5.. Is this smart? All advice and experience is welcomed! Thank you!

Good morning all. I am a fairly recent new homeowner and finally looking to spring for a home stereo system. Having done some research, Sonos is clearly a no brainer. I cannot wait to get my hands on some of this gear. I'm literally obsessed and own nothing at this point. In researching what pieces of equipment will be best for me, and reading through lots of this community, I'm running into a question about stereo pairing. It is clear that 2 x Play:1s in a stereo pair is a hugely popular set up on this forum. Likewise, it seems 2 x Play:5s is also mentioned as a good set up. My question: is a stereo pair still recommended if you're not likely to be in the "sweet spot" very often? In my living room, I am looking at getting a Play:5 for use with the line in so I can start enjoying my record player more regularly. Hi! I recently purchased a 2nd gen Play 5 for an open-concept living room/dining room/kitchen, about 25'X40'. I then decided the pull the trigger on getting a 2nd Play 5 and also 2 Play Ones, with a plan of having these in the four corners of the space (they haven't arrived yet). I'm curious to get people's take on this set up vs ditching the 5s and instead having 4 ones/1s + a sub. I listened to the ones/1s and 5s side-by-side before purchasing and really liked the sound of the 5s more, the depth was great, the ones/1s sounded kind of incomplete to me. I mostly listen to music at < 1/2 volume and while I care about some bass, I prioritize clean, room-filling music over loud. Curious to hear people's take on what they'd do!

Under what circumstances would someone buy one over the other? I have a friend who wants to add a turntable and currently only has four Play 1's he need to fill a large space and plans on adding more 1's. Is a Connect Amp needed when using Sonos speakers or more for adding non Sonos speakers?

As a Developer wanting to market a property that has been cabled for Sonos and includes In-ceiling speakers, I want to show off the Sonos music system to potential purchases but will not be investing in a Broadband contract as that will be left to the eventual purchaser. I wish to connect 2 pairs of speakers to 1 Connect AMP and play music from my phone. I tried installing a router for this purpose but the set up on Sonos no-longer allows me to do this as it did in previous years. Can you advise please? Jo

I didn't do enough homework on our new construction project. I have New wired speakers in 6 areas - but just removed a wired 5.1 set up in the great big room with 22ft ceilings. My plan now is to get a few connect amps for the wired speakers and I'm looking at a Playbar, sub, and Play 3's for the 5.1 system... and maybe supplement with a play 5 later... I know if I set it up right I'll be able to play specific music in specific zones. My question is - will it all sound good if I play the same music in ALL the zones? Including the 5.1 set up?

Hi. I've been on the fence regarding jumping into the Sonos ecosystem. I generally have apple products but have a couple google homes and a few(4) chrome cast audios to hack together whole house music. Controlling it through the google music/home app kinda sucks to be honest and doesn't pass the wife reliability test. I have at least 3 existing speaker systems that I need to drive separately from whatever smart(ish) speaker a system has but that should integrate for a whole house experience. In addition to that need 3(ish) separate speakers for Kitchen/Dining Room/Bedroom/ and 1 or 2 places more maybe(ish). I would lie if I said I wasn't waiting to see how HomePod shook out. Then my dad got me a Sonos 1 last week as a birthday gift. Its cool and I might take advantage of the $350 for 2 more Sonos One deal but here is my dilemma. I bought my Dad a play bar for Christmas/birthday/fathers day. He loves it. It is the first piece to replace his old, terribly outdated and terrible surround sound system. He hooked it up with no issues. But......he has his cable box, Xbox and dvd player to hook up to it. How do you control the volume of the Xbox or any other device? I was looking to get him a simple receiver to plug into for all of his HDMI devices and then have the optical out of the receiver to the sound bar. He does not want all of the cables hanging from the back of his TV because its mounted on the wall. He just purchased the sub and wanted to get Play 1s for the rear to round out his "theater". What are your suggestions on getting all of this together in the most cost effective way to have any source come through the Sonos system?

I have 2 play 3 speakers and wonder whether it will be worth getting a connect, amp or play5? I will most probably use them in seperate rooms as i have a home cinema system that i am looking to connect in the loop

I'm currently thinking of buying a Sonos speaker mainly for streaming music from my old Macbook Pro 2009. I don't have an iPhone and/or use any sort of music streaming stuff such as Spotify or Apple Music as I'm still quite old fashioned. So the setup is quite easy. I have all my mp3's on my computer which I play through either iTunes or VLC. My question is, if it is possible to play the music on my computer and listen to it on the Sonos, without having to use their app. I don't need to control it (increasing volume, skipping song, etc.) using Sonos. All I really do need it is to have sound coming out of the wireless speaker without any extra app. Is that possible or does it always needs the fancy Sonos app? Thanks

We are looking to get a sonos system in our office space. Our office is one large room 1600 sq ft approx with 20 ft high ceilings and a mezzanine. We are looking at wall mounting speakers. We need advice on - How many speakers do we require - Which speakers are best for a 1600sq ft / 20ft ceiling height space with a mezzanine - How to achieve an even distribution of sound Thanks

Ok I have 2 play 1s and a Sub setup for my music. I find this great apart from i'm missing mid to top range when playing music. I was thinking of adding a playbar to the setup and was wondering if this would make any difference (worthwhile) to the sound. I'm not really worried about TV since it would be just for music.
