What are sonos doing for it's countless customers who can't get voice as the amazon sign in cycles endlessly??? This has gone on for months

Now that Amazon is discontinuing its privacy setting (as of March 28, 2025) and will be sending all commands to its cloud servers, are there any plans to bring Apple HomeKit / Siri to voice enabled speakers?  I have multiple echo devices that I’ll be unplugging before this goes live. But I also have two voice enabled Sonos speakers (Arc Ultra & Era 100). I don’t want to migrate to Google, because they’re likely to follow Amazon’s lead on the privacy front. I enjoy the convenience of controlling lights & music by voice, but not having everything sent to Amazon servers.  

I’d like the ability to create and manage alarms via Sonos Voice Control.I know it can currently do timers, but I’d like to be able to create an alarm that goes off daily at a given time.

I’d like to be able to use Sonos Voice Control to ask basic math questions:“What’s 42 + 11?” “How many cups in 2 pints?” “How many metres in 200 feet?”

I would like to open up a survey about an issue I am experiencing.I have a sonos Arc in one room with alexa and sonos voice control (SonosVC) enabled (sonos with microphone). I have an echo dot in another room paired with a sonos playbar (sonos without microphone). I have a subscription to apple music. I have a group on the alexa app called home where both arc and playbar are grouped.Asking Alexa to play on individual room works, from both device:Alexa-Arc-->playbar→ sounds come from playbar Alexa-Echo-->playbar→ sounds come from playbar Alexa-Echo-->Arc→ sounds come from arc Alexa-Arc-->Arc→ sounds come from arcAsking Alexa to play on the “home” group only play audio from the device where the request was submitted, despite showing the the music playing on both device on the sonos app.Alexa-Arc-->home → sounds come only from arc Alexa-Echo-->

so after my third time doing this I thought I would ask…. Every time I add my sonos arc to my sonos system and then add the google assistant, it goes offline a short while later - and there is no fix other than to factory reset.  I realize that sonos are no longer supporting google on new devices as they can’t seem to play nice together, however this did work fine until I moved to my new house.  In the old house we were in due to displacement by wildfire, I only had the arc.   Google worked fine on it.  So we rebuilt after the fire and moved in 3 weeks ago and I got a bunch of new sonos stuff to fill the new house - but now, as I said, I add the arc to my system, its fine everything works.  Then I add google assistant and it goes offline - it works for a little while, not sure how long, but in the morning I come down and it's offline.  Not only offline, there is no fix for it other than to factory reset.  I added it again yesterday, didn’t add google assistant and this morning it is

For some months now I’m experiencing an issue when asking Google Assistant to set the volume of our speakers/rooms to a desired volume. This does not work properly when asking to set the volume to either level 3, 5 or 10. The other volume levels seem to work okay though, as per below list:“Hey Google volume 0” : room volume is correctly set to 0% “Hey Google volume 1” : room volume is correctly set to 10% “Hey Google volume 2” : room volume is correctly set to 20% “Hey Google volume 3” : room volume is incorrectly set to 3% (instead of 30%) “Hey Google volume 4” : room volume is correctly set to 40% “Hey Google volume 5” : room volume is incorrectly set to 5% (instead of 50%) “Hey Google volume 6” : room volume is correctly set to 60% “Hey Google volume 7” : room volume is correctly set to 70%

This day in 2025, Friday March 8th, the Sonos S19 Soundbar started playing all by itself.  I wasn’t there to hear it but my wife was.  My only choice was troubleshoot it (again) or remove it.  It is a shame such an nice sound bar had to go.It starts by itself about once every 6 months. It usually responds to voice command by this time she could not turn it off by command and it eventually stopped by itself.  We have it connected to a newer Sony 85" Bravia Core Television.  We have an Alexa smart speaker nearby, also have DirecTV so there is a set top box (STB) connected.  By the time I got to it I just unplugged it and removed it entirely. Problem solved.The only thing reasonable thing that I can imagine is that she likes to cover it with nick nacks, so even though the touch controls have been disabled (using the Sonos application with a Pixel 8a smartphone) there maybe some weird extraneous inputs on its frame somewhere that aren’t disabled.  Or maybe Alex conspires t

We have had Sonos speakers set up in multiple rooms for a few years, and we use Alexa to control them. However, I am planning to cancel my Prime membership. Will I still be able to use Alexa? Or is there an alternative voice command capability that I can use?

Ok, before you start typing "it is a local problem".... my answer is "I know!" So I recently bought an S24Ultra and have been using the Sonos app on it. The application does most of the things.But what I have been struggling with since day 1 is that when I try to add GoogleAssistant to my speakers, the application will try to launch the GoogleAssistant application and stay without launching it.I thought that maybe it had to do with the fact that I am using Gemini, so I switched the phone back to Google Assistant. But no use.I checked and made sure that all the rights are set correctly for the sonos App.At this point I have to grab my old Samsung S3 each time that I want to add the GoogleAssistant to a sonos speaker. Anyone else experiences this?Any solutions?

Sonos voice control should be compatible with Govee. It would make it way easier to be able to control my Govee lights with my Sonos. Or at least Sonos should have add google assistant back. 

Hello,A few days ago, I noticed that my Sonos speakers were "unresponsive" in the Home app when I was away from home.After trying several things (rebooting, removing and re-adding the speaker in HomeKit) without success, I reset all the speakers to factory settings. It took some time, but it worked.But this morning, I updated my iPhone and iPad to iOS 18.2.1, and the problem came back! My Sonos speakers are once again unresponsive in the Home app. Please note that I am not at home, so I can't check if it works when I'm on the same network. In any case, do you know a way to fix the issue without resetting the speakers again?Thanks for help.

I have Sonos system containing two Sonos One and one Sonos AmpGoogle Assistant have worked great together with my Sonos One for the last three years. Suddently out of the blue a “Sonos TV control” apears in my Google Home App. When I ex. call Google Assistant to switch off my Sonos One, it fails, and tell me there is a error with my “Sonos TV control”.First of all, I dont have any “Sonos TV control” installed nor any TV speaker and I don´t know where its coming from or how its suddently apears in my Google Home app. After two months of investigaing I now know its coming from my Sonos Amp.How can i remove/disconnect to this “Sonos TV control” in my Sonos Amp to get my Google Assistant workning again?

I’m running Google Home, with both Nest Mini (2nd Gen) and Nest Hub (2nd Gen) devices, and a Sonos system comprised Sonos Ones and Sonos Fives.I have added “Works with Google” to the Google Home for Sonos, and set my Sonos speakers as the default speaker for each of my Google Home devices. This worked perfectly to allow me to play music from Spotify and control it using voice commands to Google.In the last few months, it’s stopped working.If I ask a Nest Mini (2nd Gen) device to play music, it works as expected, playing on Sonos as it always has.If I ask a Next Hub (2nd Gen) device to play music, Google responds and says it’s playing on Sonos, but nothing actually plays. When trying to connect my new Ray Soundbar to the Amazon Alexa Service, Alexa doesn't find the Ray.I set up the Ray using the Sonos App, activated the Sonos Skill in the Alexa App and tried to add a new speaker, but Alexa can't find it. I tried it by Android and iOS.The Ray ist working fine with the Sonos App. Ii is connected to the router by LAN, the Echo Dot by WLAN.Any suggestions? Thanks!

I purchased multiple Sonos products for the specific reason of being able to play music in multiple parts of my house. I love keeping my speaker in my bedroom and using voice command to play music—Sonos Voice Command is one of the reasons why I purchased this line. With that being said, I’m completely frustrated and feel very hopeless about ever having the option to lower the loudness of the voice command feature without compromising the music volume. It’s completely unacceptable that Sonos has to scream at me when I use voice command to simply play calming music at bedtime and subsequently wake other people up in the house. I currently use the Alexa Media Player integration for Home Assistant notifications, but I would really appreciate the ability to use my Sonos microphones to trigger automations in Home Assistant. Does anyone know if this functionality is possible?

I am writing an arduino IDE Esp8266 sketch to monitor the play status of a Sonos speaker and trigger an outlet. With SOAP responses, I can easily monitor the avTransport service using the getTransportInfo to get the currentTransportState.  But, if the speaker is grouped, that output is always “playing.” My idea is to identify the group coordinator IP and then use that device’s currentTransportState when the speaker is grouped. My issue is that when I group the speaker, the ZoneGroup Coordinator is defaulting to the same device every time… even when that device is not a part of the playing group. I assume it must have the lowest or first UUID, or something.  is there another way that I can monitor the play/pause status of a grouped speaker that is not the coordinator?  I know I’m missing something.  specs:I am using the S1 app with a variety of zp90, zp120, and play3. My Sonos system (Beam & 2 100’s) stopped responding to play music commands with Alexa. I get the “I’m having trouble playing that right now” message. I’ve rebooted the system and reauthorized all music systems. WiFi signal very strong. Any help is appreciated. 

Is there a way for my speaker to make a sound when it hears "Hey, Sonos" instead of after it responds to what I say?  I want an indication that it heard me. Thanks.

Hello Sonos Team,I recently found out that Denon has integrated Siri into their smart speakers if you already have a HomePod or HomePod mini at home. You can see the details here: Denon SupportI think this is a great feature and would love to see the same integration on Sonos speakers. How can I use a Sonos Five Stereo Pair with Alexa?  As I have tried to research this question, I have not been able to get a definitive answer of if it is possible.  When attempting in my own environment, I am able to connect 1 Sonos Five.  But if I do a stereo pair, the option is grayed out.
