Hi there. I’ve just installed some Sonos speakers to replace my Amazon Echos. The Sonos Speakers installed easily and I have just about got the interface with Alexa sorted out but it was a painful exercise. My problem now is that SVC doesn’t respond correctly. If I say to my Dining Room speaker “ play music in the bedroom” it plays on the dining room, the speaker I spoke to. The same happens if I ask the living room the same question or a similar request. Basically SVC doesn’t seem to recognise the other speakers even though they show up correctly in the app and I can select which speaker is playing. Worryingly I spoke to Sonos support who told me speaker selection can only be done in the app then sent me an email with a link that told me that it can be done with SVC!

Has anybody else had this issue and did you find a fix? I would appreciate any help anybody can offer.

Thanks in advance. Keith.

Odd; I can control one room from a different one using SVC - as you are trying to do.

The bedroom is named “Bedroom” in the app? What, just as a test, you say to “play everywhere”?

Hi.

Play “everywhere” works fine. But, when I then say to living room “ungroup bedroom” it ungroups living room!
