Hello @Su2108, welcome to the Sonos Community!

I really want to buy a Sonos but.... I'll want to use Alexa in English but I live in the Netherlands

I'm hearing conflicting information about it.

Since you are in the Netherlands, you can set up the international version of Amazon Alexa on your Sonos, as you can see from our Support Article Amazon Alexa availability on Sonos.

Any advice? Which Sonos?

You can add Amazon Alexa on all voice-enabled Sonos products. If you have an Amazon Alexa device (like an Echo or Echo Dot), you can control your Sonos with that as well.

If you would like to reply and add a bit more information on your needs, there is a big selection of voice-enabled Sonos speakers that you can use. You can check them all on Sonos.com.

With my response here, your thread moved to the top of the latest activity list. Maybe another Community user who lives in the Netherlands would like to jump in and share their experience using Amazon Alexa on Sonos.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply @Sotiris C.

I spend quite a lot of time in the UK and enjoy music, wake up calls, recipes etc via my friends Sonos. In the Netherlands my son had an older Sonos One which only worked with Google Assistant. I'm looking for a Sonos that works with Alexa voice control here in the Netherlands and have been looking at the Era100. I'm pretty handy with technical stuff but setting up the Sonos to work with Alexa is sounding complex and I'm hearing differing stories about it. Don't really want to go to Amazon's Echo as their sound quality isn't so good I believe.

While Alexa does work in The Netherlands, on Sonos it does not work in Dutch. If that is no obstruction for you (it would be for me, whence my use of Google Assistant), you can go ahead and install Alexa. If you don't like it, uninstall it.

@106rallye thank you, for your reply. English is good for me, even though Dutch would also be good 🙈
