Does the Touch Controls on/off setting in the app also control the microphone touch button? Try toggling it on/off in any case, just to be sure.
Plus, there is a Status Light on/off toggle too.

Are you referring to the mic icon in the Sonos app? That is indeed just an indicator whether the physical mic on the One is on or off (struck through icon).
FYI: Alexa is experiencing an outage.
+18Sonos works the other way round by the way: install Alexa and the microphone will work. At the moment installing Alexa is a problem.
