Sonos One acknoedges voice request but then fails to play  anything

Hi, I’m trying to add Amazon Alexa to my Sonos Beam (Gen 2), but I keep getting an error. Here’s what happens: I go to the Sonos app and choose to add Amazon Alexa. The app shows “Connecting to Amazon…” for a while. Then I get an error message: “There was a problem adding Amazon Alexa.”  I have tried several times, but the issue persists. My phone is connected to Wi-Fi, and the Sonos system is working fine otherwise. Has anyone experienced this? Any solutions or troubleshooting steps I can try?I´m enough of all those Sonos bugs… thanks

After the recent Sonos system update all voice enabled devices have failed to install or load Google Assistant.  Sonos support is blaming Google due to Gemini and Google is blaming Sonos for a very poor app link integration. Shockingly Amazon Alexa and Sonos Voice work fine but for users who have all of their home automation on Google Assistant/Google Home they are screwed again. Please resolve this issue!

As I'm not able to reply anymore on the other topic here's a copy paste below. This issue still exists and is there for years now with a period in between it did work without issues. Any update on this? I'm experiencing the exact same issue as described below with my Sonos One Gen1. I can say volume 30 instead of volume 3 or volume 50 instead of 5 etc.to have it work correctly but it's still a bit weird this hasn't been solved so far.Info from another topic by ​@P.Janssen“For some months now I’m experiencing an issue when asking Google Assistant to set the volume of our speakers/rooms to a desired volume. I’ve just setup my Sonos one when I say Alexa play a playlist on Apple Music it will say now playing playlist there is no sound even tho I have volume upmy arc works good when I say play Adele playlist from apple musicwhere could be the problem guys thanks in advance

When i say hey google play some music or a specific music, it says “Playing song name on sonos from spotify” but then it does nothing? It works completely fine from google assistant on my phone and from my google tv. But when i tell my google nest hub 2 it just says “Playing song name on sonos from spotify” without actually doing it?

I see this is a topic that's been raised before. I have 2 different Era 100 speakers, neither of which play when I ask Alexa to play BBC Sounds.The voice assistant says it is playing but it doesnt. I have tried: Rebooting devices and routerDisconnecting and reconnecting BBC Sounds appDisconnecting and reconnecting Alexa Any suggestions gratefully received! Thanks.

Hi,I just subscribed to deezer and set it up with sonos voice controlIt works fine to listen to a specific title, an album, or a public playlist but I can’t listen to my playlists (it says “the content canno’t be found”)I tried everything including updating my sonos one, delete and reinstall deezer and even reseting my sonos and it still don’t work. Has anyone have a solution ?

As anyone who uses Google Assistant routines on Sonos knows, it was quite a while ago that Google started saying “Sorry, I don’t understand” to any action in a routine that attempts to speak a verbal output on a Sonos speaker. The bug came and went a few times, and then settled in permanently with no acknowledgement from Sonos or Google.I experimented a bit to see if there was any workaround, such as playing a standard sound effect (unfortunately Google doesn’t have any built in sound effects) or playing a pre-recorded audio file with the response (that works, but media volume is muted as long as the routine is running, so the audio isn’t very audible).If all you want is a simple verbal acknowledgement to know that the routine ran, you can add actions in the routine to increase volume and then decrease volume by the same amount. That results in Google saying “Ok” or “Got it”, and it does work on Sonos speakers.

Over the last week or so, every time I ask Sonos to transfer the music (playing somewhere I was to where I am now), it results in children songs being played where I was. The latest was Five Little Speckled Frogs by Susie Tallman when I was playing Pandora. Don’t have kids, so those songs wouldn’t even be in a playlist somewhere.Any suggestions would be helpful. 

Era speaker won’t identify any songs from Services or library.   Gustavo only replies. “Nothing is playing”. Doesn’t matter if I’m using the app or the S2 on the Mac.  Anyone else have this issue and how did you resolve it?  Not using Google or Alexa assistants 

Hello - I just bought my first Sonos speaker (Era 100) and was going to use it as my alexa mic.  For some reason - I ONLY see Sonos voice assist as an option when picking voice assist.  I’ve linked and relinked the alexa app and tried pretty much everything suggested.   Can I even use the Era 100 with Alexa voice assistant?  I will be returning this speaker if not.  

Dear all Just ordered four Era 100 devices and quickly detected the issue, that the Alexa voice is compared to played music way too loud. I don’t see any option to reduce specifically Alexa voice, also reading of a bunch of issues in this forum - but mostly years ago and seemed to be fixed.  Any idea how to fix this? Otherwise need to return the order.  Much appreciated,Marco

I have a Sonos One and 2 old Sonos Play.The Sonos One is linked to Alexa with all relevant skills enabled.Apple music is logged in.Amazon Echo device in the kitchen will play Apple Music songs on voice command.Tthe Sonos one will play apple music from the Sonos app if I select it via the UI, but if I say “Alexa play music” - it says “Ok - here’s Apple Music” but nothing plays.  Same happens if I specify an artist or track.  It responds to other commands like “What is the time” or whatever no problem.I have tried all the obvious like rebooting everything, disable and reenable skills and settings in both Sonos and Alexa.One thing I noticed is that in the Alexa app on my phone, under the “Music and Podcasts” settings, the skills for Apple Music are listed under “Family” but if I click on my own name, the Apple music skill is shown as the default, but there is an orange/yellos triangle with an exclamation point to the levt of the “Your default services” - this excamation point doesn’t appe

I have an up to date Sonos system that is comprised of 2 Sonos One and 2 Sono One SL speakers.  I have an MP3 library on a networked Windows 10 laptop that uses MyMedia v.1.3.148.998 and the Alexa Mymedia skill enabled.  When I ask Alexa to tell my media to play any artist, the first song in the library plays and then repeats endlessly. If I say Alexa, “next” the next song plays and then repeats.If I try the same thing on my Amazon Echo devices, it works as intended, one song plays and then the next and the next.   Any help would be appreciated.

I have an alarm set, target is master bedroom, and the setting includes everywhere.  The devices in master bedroom are an Era 100 stereo pair and a mini subwoofer.  Sometimes, when the alarm begins playing (SiriusXM), I respond with “hey Sonos pause”.  If the command is successful, the response is a single chime and the music stops.  With increasing frequency, the command fails.  The response is a thud sound and music continues.  If I reissue the command, I get a verbal response of “There’s nothing  playing right now” and the music continues.  I must say that the utterly b*******t response when the music is playing and continues to play is completely infuriating.Any ideas how to address this?Bill Frazier  Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.

That is the plan. I mean, Sonos is in a little bit of a transition of course, but yeah, they're a great partner of ours.

Hi,my top question is on how do I add my Symfonisks (that I already added to my Sonos app) to the IKEA Home Smart app? I already forgot how I managed add the one I have there and can not find how to replicate my victory. I find that the IKEA app is way more responsive than the Sonos app for some reason and I hope to add another Symfonisk remote to Symfonisk in my other room.I also would love to know if there are any good resources that perhaps you used to migrate your system from Windows to Linux, I my ultimate goal would be to have my thin client to run Linux store all the FLACs I bought and use jellyfin for movies and stuff.Thanks for any tips :)

Hey folks,Simple question. I have two Sonos Ones and one Sonos One SL, and one Play:1 in my house.  I have the Ones set up with Alexa. I have them grouped together in Sonos and in the Alexa app (under the group name “All Speakers”), and all I want is to control the volume of the entire group with a voice command instead of doing them all one by one.  If I say “Alexa Volume 3” it just changes the volume of the speaker I’m talking to only, and if I say “Alexa All speakers volume 3” it just changes only the volume of whichever speaker is on the top of the order in the Sonos app, leaving all the other ones unchanged in both scenarios.  This is driving me nuts. I factory reset all my speakers, reconnected them to my system, reconnected it all to Alexa, set up all the groups, and no change in behavior.  I tried using this new handy Zones feature but my play:1 is too old to be zoned. Hej,I bought two IKEA Symfonisk lamps for my home. I use Apple Homekit. I have an IKEA gateway. The lights added to HomeKit without a problem, and even the remote controls for the lights. However, I can't add the speakers to Apple Homekit :( Why?What's the solution? --ve
