I purchased the Sonos One because of its built in Alexa support. I set up the Sonos One and LOVED the sound quality but was extremely disappointed to find out that it didn’t support Alexa’s Multi Room Music capability. I have already invested in several Amazon Echos and wanted the Sonos One to upgrade my game room sound but am happy with the sound of the Echo in my smaller rooms such as my office and the kitchen. I realize I could have SONOS speakers everywhere but that is overkill (and too expensive) in my situation. Because of this I returned the Sonos One. If you add Alexa Multi Room capability in the future then I will likely buy several Sonos Ones to improve the sound quality in my larger rooms.

I tell Amazon Echo to play a station from my Pandora in a room and it will play only one song. When I open the app and hit the play button, nothing happens. When I hit the next button I get: “unable to play pandora service error” in a pop up window. I have sent Sonos tech reps diagnostic number and they still can’t figure out the problem. I’ve rebooted my modem, my Wi-Fi, my speakers and deleted and reinstalled my apps, along with signing out and re-signing in to my Pandora music service. I still have the same problem. Any ideas?

Hello All. Just set up the Sonos one with Alexa. Have a phillips hue v2 bridge as well. I can't get Alexa to discover the bridge. She found a nest thermostat. We do not have any other echo devices in the house. Tried, unpairing and re-enabling all the skills needed for sonos and Alexa. Also hard reset the bridge. Nothing. Help!

Hello We purchased a Sonos Playbase, Sub Woofer, and two Play:1 speakers for our lounge a few months ago. Last month we added the new Sonos:One (with built-in Alexa) - which is very handy to use voice control. Is there a way of making our lounge configuration voice controlled i.e. if we purchase an Echo Dot can this be linked to our Playbase so that we can use Alexa in the lounge? We do not want to buy Sonos:One speakers just to enable this function. Many thanks

My sonos one will not play any of the skills such as space deck or distant thunder storm. Can anyone help.

I have successfully set up Alexa on my Sonos One but I cannot control Spotify with it. I have a Spotify premium account and it works fine with my Amazon Echo and Dot. On my Alexa app under Sonos One and Spotify, it says “app support unavailable”. Help!

After waiting for the announcement for Echo integration with Sonos for what seems like an eternity (I was really looking forward to it), I have to say I am somewhat underwhelmed by the current offering. For what it's worth, here's my feedback: - A glorified Bluetooth speaker - is what it feels like. I could have done most of what I'm currently getting by putting a cable from my Echo Dot to my Sonos Connect Amp's line in. In fact I tried that some time ago but quickly disconnected it as the streaming TuneIn Radio via the Echo cuts out a lot more than the TuneIn Radio via Sonos, and I listen to radio probably 90% of the time. Everything is through the Echo - as above, it seems you're not controlling Sonos through Alexa at all, you're simply outputting Alexa audio through Sonos. When that's TuneIn Radio, it cuts out just as bad as when using just the Echo. If I could hard-wire my Echo I would, but it's WiFi only, and it's 4 feet from a Google Wifi hard-wired WiFi point, so the netwo

Alexa won't stop playing music when requested

Hi, I am trying to find a solution to my unusual setup. I am currently based in Japan and would like to use Sonos One with Alexa. I bought Sonos One in the US and tried to set it up. I managed to get the voice control with Alexa to work. However, in Alexa app setting I can only see the Tunein music service. Neither Spotify or Amazon Music is showing. I can understand why not Spotify as they have some stupid system preventing you to use Spotify outside you registered country. They actually registered me to Japan automatically. No idea how to get this to Germany. Would IP service be able to solve this? Now with Amazon I have a functioning Amazon Music account that is hooked up to the German store using my Amazon login. Why will that service not show up in the Alexa App? I signed in with the same Amazon ID and also set in Alexa app the address to Germany? Any help would be welcomed.

From a purely audio point of view, the Sonos One seems to be a better speaker than the Play:1 (from reviews, I don't have either). Given that they are currently retailing at the same price point, is it possible to use the Sonos One without Alexa enabled, and use external Echo devices with the Sonos skill?

I have an Echo Dot connected to a Connect via analog in...and the Connect connected from analog out to my speakers via a Sonance amplifier. I'm finding that, since starting the Sonos skill, when I talk to Alexa, her volume out of my Sonos/speaker setup is at such a low volume that it is barely audible. This lasts for about 10-15 seconds, and then volume goes up to normal. I have the volume control on the Dot set a maximum and the Sonos volume set at a normal listening level. Before setting up the Sonos skill, the volume was always fine...right where I set it. Interestingly, if I immediately invoke "Alexa" after she starts speaking (like if I ask for the weather), when I can barely hear her, and tell her to turn up the volume, her output immediately goes to the normal audible volume. Also, once the Sonos music starts, volume is normal, based on my volume setting in the Sonos app. However, if I again invoke "Alexa", her volume is low again.

Hello, I have brought a new Sonos One, and I can’t connect it to Alexa. I have tried everything I can think of. Please can someone help?? All it shows is amazon products on the Alexa app and not the Sonos One?

Alexa is now available in Australia but Sonos still says it’s not available in our country! When will this be available Sonos?

I would love to be able to play Sonos playlists by Alexa commands. This seems a natural capability since I spend so much time in the Sonos app. With this functionality I could concentrate all my playlists in Sonos, while already in the app for controlling sound level and other various functions. Is this a function that could be created in the near future?

"Alexa play Today FM" works with Echo Dot. Alexa replies with "I could not find a station named Today FM" when you say the same thing to Sonos One. Thoughts? This is just one example the same thing happens with other station names which match the names on TuneIn. Checking history on the Alexa app confirms that it is recognising the words correctly. Hello, I noiticed the Routines cannot control the Sonos, and therefore, I can't get it to both turn off the lights and play music. I want Alexa to turn on a playlist, turn on shuffle mode, turn the volume to 1, turn on my living room lights to 20%, turn off all other lights. I can issue 5 separate commands to get what I want and they work fine with Sonos. If Routines were working perfectly, I could easily program one command to do all of that (except maybe turning on Shuffle Mode). However, it cannot, so is there a workaround like macro command recording? I noticed that in my Alexa history, I can see all the commands I've issued. Is there a way to record and use those commands in plain English (my language) in some type of macro? This would be similar to recording mouse movements/clicks on a desktop to get a simple movement macro. It seems like this "skill" could be so useful and simple to use, especially in a text format. So we're all thrilled to finally have this connectivity between Sonos and Alexa. A question: when I ask Alexa to do a skill that requires playback (like "Alexa, play my Flash Briefing") can this playback happen through Sonos speakers? If so, how do activate this? Thanks!

My Sonos account is linked to my Pandora account and I can play Pandora stations using the Sonos app on my phone. But if I ask Alexa to "Play whatever station on pandora" she responds "I didn't find your pandora account. You can link your account using the Alexa app." But if I open the Alexa app and go to Music, Video, & Books and then click pandora it says "App Support Unavailable". What am I missing?

I'm having problems does anyone know if it's possible to use voice control to play music from different Spotify family premium accounts? As all set up on my husbands phone but when I try and set up Alexa on my phone it does not give option of Sonos device and I can't speak to Alexa to play the tracks on my Spotify account?

I don't have any problems with any voice control commands after setting up Alexa except volume control. "When I say Alexa, turn up Living Room" Alexa responds with "Living Room doesn't support that". This is the case in all rooms. Am I know phrasing this correctly?

I have 13 Sonos products in my home. Needless to say, I love Sonos. When Sonos One was released, I definitely saw the advantage of adding Alexa to the mix. So I bought a pair of Sonos Ones to add one each to my upstairs 5.1 system and downstairs 5.1 system. That way we'd have Alexa in both levels of the house. I installed the first Sonos One upstairs replacing an existing Play 1 in our 5.1 system. And it would not add the new speaker to the 5.1. So I called tech support (which now routinely has 30+ minute hold times) to troubleshoot the problem. I was informed that to add Sonos One (and Alexa) to my 5.1 would require TWO Sonos Ones. Who in the world needs two Alexas in that close proximity to each other? Begrudgingly, I decided to put two Sonos Ones in a single 5.1 system because apparently I had no choice. And then I was hit with another doozy. When you connect two Sonos Ones to a 5.1 system, you lose Alexa! This is insane. So I removed both Sonos Ones from my system and returned
