Just setup the Sonos One. All steps were followed and setup went smoothly, However it is not responding to any commands. It does acknowledge the command where I ask to play music, but doesn't complete the action. Diag-8022698

I changed the name of one of my device's in Sonos but then it was not linking to my smarthings nor Alexa app. So I deleted the device in smarthings and Alexa. However I am unable to now discover the device. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling apps, rebooting the Sonos device in question and rebooting the router.i have another device which is fine and if I delete this other device and rediscover Alexa discovers it. I'm not sure how to connect my second device back to Alexa or smarthings. Can someone please help.

Hi. Is it possible to get a list of things sonos is working on in relation to alexa's dire voice control. We know theyve said google assistant is in the pipeline, audible has been mentioned to. What about services like napster and locally stored music? Are they being worked on or were the numerous requests for these services just placed on the shelf labelled "if we ignore it, they will go away."

Hi I am in Australia. I already have sonos in several rooms. In Australia Amazon Alexa will finally launch soon. If I buy a new sonos smart speaker, will it integrate Alexa with all my speakers, or (surely not) am I supposed to replace the entire existing sonos speaker network in order to integrate Alexa completely?

Starting to get tee hang of this. 4 Sonos devices and 1 echo dot here. Cancelled Deezer and have Amazon unlimited 30 day trial (not the limited echo music service). I can start multiple Amazon streams via the app without issue, and I can start one Amazon stream by voice ok. However if I start a second Amazon stream in another room by voice, Echo says that Amazon music is streaming on another device, would I like to stream on {room name} instead?’. Is this expected behaviour? Thanks Andrew

Hi all. I have a Sonos Play 1 in my bedroom and Play 3 in my living room. Alexa plays as requested on either speaker. When I aske her to play on both speakers she says to go on Alexa app and look out groupings there, but it doesn’t work for Sonos speakers. So is Alexa (Echo Dot) unable to deal with a play on all speakers command?

Like many other threads, my sonos one also has the problem which the Alexa is almost deaf for the wake word. I don't know when will the problem be fixed, and how good the result will be, and every time I contact sonos support only got "cloud updating", but nothing has changed. I think I might just return it within the period. This is quite frustrating, it's the first time I bought sonos products, I love the sound quality, but Alexa is almost useless.

I’ve purchased 2 play ones, 2 Alexa Sonos, playbar, 2 x 2nd gen play 5, 2 x 3 , Sonos Sub and Audible does not work- the whole point was for the ability to listen to my books around the house... I’m god father to the head of buying at John Lewis and frankly I’m very disappointed in John Lewis for selling a product that is functionally flawed and you should instruct ALL sales people To state categorical that Sonas Alexa IS NOT the same as Alexa ... I plan on returning all products... Please advise if it’s true that Sonos Alexa doesn’t work with Audible and Messaging and Calling features Alexa has (the non Sonos version) Also what are Sonos doing to inform client at the point of sale as this is like selling a car with only 2 wheels

Coming to Sonos soon? While Deezer just showed up as a music source in the Alexa app, the skill is showing geographic restrictions here in the US. Odd, since it’s available in US English. Perhaps it will come with the big April update, Sonos?

The Sonos One works well with Amazon Prime music and I can ask Alexa to play Playlists on my bedroom Sonos; however it will not play any songs that I have uploaded to 'My Music' on Amazon. The Sonos help says "Access the music that you own, directly from your Sonos system" however how can I do this via Alexa?

Hi, I have already looked at a few threads but am still confused. I have two Play 1’s (the original ones). I want to get Alexa working through them, what is the best way. Do I need to upgrade to the new Play ones or just buy something like the Echo dot which is much cheaper.

Alexa keeps looping the error messages that I need to link m speakers to my email. When I go to my Sonos account it says my sonos system is registered to my email. All my speakers are listed under my "Products". Help?

When will Tidal be integrated into Alexa?

I would like to use Alexa voice calling / specifically the "drop in" feature on my Dot device, so that my Sonos network will field the call. I know that the Sonos One doesn't support this feature natively. Can I just connect a Dot to my Sonos One and have it labelled a different group so it is not activated when I play music on my Sonos network, but will still output calls through the Sonos One speaker?

So I updated Sonos app then setup alexa and Sonos. All devices are recognized. Have playback with 2 speakers, and 2 plays in different rooms. Playback works great. When I give command to other rooms. Alexa tells me that the device does not support the command. Did I miss an update for the speakers? If so where?

Is it possible for me to instruct Alexa to play music to my multiple sonos speakers throughout my home. For example, am I able to instruct alexa to "play music everywhere" and the music comes out of all my sonos speakers?

Hi. I have an unopened Echo Dot and was wondering if Alexa can control my Apple Music like my iPhone app can to my Sonos Connect that is hooked up to my 2 channel system in the basement? I do not have Spotify and also live in Canada so streaming services are limited. Will it work to play my own music at least? Mostly wondering if this is even useful to setup and tinker with 🙂

Hi, I am trying to setup Alexa voice control but under the "Voice Service" according to the guides I should be able to see "Amazon Alexa App" which then I can add. Same way as I have added e.g. Spotify under Music Services. I have installed Alexa App as well but unfortunately, I cannot find any Alexa App option. It is always redirecting me to a help page which looks like below. 1) Then I click on "Learn more" and it redirects me to this page, 2) When I click on the second option "Setup voice control on your sonos one" it direct me to the page below. 3) When I click "Set it up now" it redirects me to the same initial page. Even in the Browse window it is now showing me any voice control option. As far as I have understood I do not need any amazon device such as dot, echo etc. to setup the sonos. I have reinstalled the app as well but still it does not show the alexa app. Any suggestions? Regards, Naqqash

Hello all. Just bought the Sonos One and asked Alexa to play some 80's songs. Played one song from Amazon Prime and stopped. I was previously trying the voice command to skip but now realise this didnt work due to only one song being queued. Any ideas on how to get it to continuously play all songs? Alexa also doesnt listen to the 'stop' command which is highly frustrating! Thanks in advance ?

I have been using the sonos one since Christmas and ready to give up, voice sensitivity is terrible, finding myself having to shout at it, we have 3 echoes in the house and all worked perfect. The whole integration with voice services is pretty bad. Am I missing something or doing something wrong ?

I currently have a couple of sonos speakers set up through the home. I have a couple echo dots as well and have the sonos skill installed. This is working as desired at the moment for playing spotify, which is setup as the default streaming service. The command “alexa shuffle/play [playlist name/song etc] in the living room is working fine. Today I ordered the logitech harmony elite, what I am wondering is if I will get conflicts in playing spotify on the sonos speakers through the echo dot (alexa) commands if i set up the sonos speakers on the harmony hub as devices as well? Which will control the sonos? Harmony hub device or alexa sonos skill? Should i just not install the sonos as a device in the harmony hub as this just works now as is? I would appreciate some insight or advise from users with such a setup. Thanks!

Just purchased Sonos One and Alexa working well. However can I control my firestick with Alexa built into Sonos One? If not, why not?
