Hi there, brand new to Sonos - one whole week! I played music via Spotify and Alexa was working all weekend, but now I can't get either to work on Sonos. I can get Sonos to play downloaded music from my iphone. I did turn the speaker off one night because the light was annoying me - could that be it? Should I start again and if so, how should I do that? Sorry if a newbie rookie question. thank you :? It says that the wireless connection is disconnected (something like that).

I have a spotify premium account linked to my phone but when I try to play music from spotify through the sonos speakers I am given the error message to upgrade to a premium account, which I already have. Is there a fix for this. Thanks

Just bought a sonos beam to allow me to connect to other sonos products and TV but it won’t connect to anything not even Spotify that is on my sonos app. Going to throw it out of the window shorty it’s so difficult and frustrating. Not what was advertised...

Hi Guys, I have a group of Sonos One speakers. They are in my lounge and kitchen. Can get Alexa to adjust the volume for the group? It would be good if we could name the group and refer to the group rather than an individual speaker when talking to Alexa.

I originally worked through successfully setting up a new Sonos Beam to my older Sharp Aquos TV. I was able to use voice commands to Alexa to turn on/off the TV up until a recent series of power outages. After the power outage, both Alexa and my Sonos ecosystem weren't behaving but after following other community posts, I was able to get everything working again. The next day is when I noticed that I couldn't use Alexa to turn off/on TV whereas it was working previously. All other functions via Beam work fine (various audio sources, other Alexa commands, etc). Setup: Sonos Beam connected to HDMI 1 (ARC port) on Sharp Aquos TV. I verified menu settings on TV to enable Sharp Aquos Link on TV for Auto Power ON (presumably Sharp's version for CEC setting). NOTE: This setting worked previously. Troubleshooting thus far: Validate in Sonos App and Alexa App that all devices appear and online. I have gone to the Alexa website (not mobile app) to 'Forget' the 'Den TV' device .

The only way I can get Sirius XM go play is to request Sirius XM without specifying a specific channel. Alexa will then pull up the last station. When I request a specific station the response is “I couldn’t find Sirius Channel 33” Any ideas on what to try ?

Hi there! I have seen some older posts on this issue but there doesn't seem to be any resolution, so I'm posting it again and hopefully highlight this issue again for Sonos/Amazon to resolve. There are many of us who have the Sonos One speakers and Amazon Echo around the house. Currently it's not possible for the two speaker systems to link despite they all run Alexa and support multi-room play. Apparently it is a problem that can be easily fixed with some software updates from Amazon's end to allow the systems to link. I hope Sonos can have this conversation with Amazon and allow this feature to be available ASAP.

Hi there, when I ask Alexa to turn on “sky sports radio” she says “I could not find a station called “sky sports radio” I have tried every variation including “Alexa play sky sports radio on tune in” etc. I have saved it to my list of favourite radio stations and my favourite radio shows. She recognises every other radio station on my list and has no trouble playing them but refuses to recognise “ sky sports radio”. It is my favourite radio station and the one I listen to the most so it is quite irritating but it’s the only one she doesn’t recognise. does anyone know why this might be?

I’m having a problem using my Chromecast with my beam - beam is installed on hdmi-arc and Chromecast is installed on hdmi #3 on my Vizio tv. After install I can’t cast Netflix or YouTube to the tv. The Chromecast worked just fine before moving it to hdmi #3. Any clues?

Hi - saying Alexa play radio 1, no problem- saying Alexa play Planet Rock she says OK, but then silence... any ideas?

I just bought a Sonos Beam and it set up easily and everything works well with the exception of "Alexa, what's on my calendar for today?'" I can only get a response from my echo dot...neither my Sonos Beam nor my Sonos One can get this info for me...they don't seem to be able to access my Google Calendar and I get the "Hmmm, something went wrong." reply. This is the same response I get when I ask the same question on my Sonos One

I’m Alexa app on my I phone says I’m offline so can’t connect it to my TV. The Beam works on my TV but as the Alexa app says it’s offline I can’t use any voice instructions. Help would be appreciated. Thanks Paul

Just got a Sonos One, but when trying to set it up to connect to Alexa, i get errors. I get to the "Steps to set up Alexa" stage, click on "Connect your Amazon account" and enter my amazon account credentials. But when i do, i get the message "We're sorry! An error occurred when we tried to process your request. Rest assured we're already working on the problem...". Not sure if this is because i'm in Canada and maybe it's trying to connect to Amazon.com instead of .ca? However when i go into my Alexa account, in my devices i see "Daniel's Sonos One" (but no other devices). Whats going on here?

I followed all the instructions to set up sonos in Alexa app. I said: "Alexa, play Adele in the playroom", Alexa also responded that "playing adele from spotfly in the playroom". However, the sonos in the playroom is not playing any music. What is wrong with that? I unplugged and plugged both my sonos speaker and echo dot devices!

Hi folks, New to SONOS here and need of some help. I set up my new SONOS One yesterday in my kitchen and in the setup I was asked to state which room the speaker would be in... the kitchen, this then automatically named the device 'Kitchen'. All is fine... then I proceed to link it to my Amazon account... this is were things start to go a bit wrong. My Amazon device list now shows two SONOS devices.... One called Kitchen and the second one is just named Marks Sonos One... yet they are one and the same. When I go into the SONOS app I have the option of flicking between both of these named devices... even though there is only one device. I contacted Amazon who were very unhelpful for a change and stated that it was a SONOS problem not Amazon. Any ideas? Secondly.... Me and my wife have separate Amazon accounts. Is it possible to set up two Amazon accounts on one SONOS one so that we can both make the best use of Alexa? Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi all, I wanted to share with you a little discovery I've made. It is now finally possible to group / ungroup your rooms by voice! This is possible using Apple's Siri via the Airplay 2 support that has just been added by Sonos. All you need to do is add your Sonos speakers to the 'Home' app on your IOS device, and then the following example commands will work: "Hey Siri, play (artist name / song name / album name) Everywhere" (plays on all speakers) "Hey Siri, play (artist name / song name / album name) in the kitchen and living room" (to play on a selected group of speakers) -When something is already playing in one room- "Hey Siri, play this in the bedroom as well" (adds what is currently playing to another speaker) Of course the caveat to this is it is only possible to do this using Apple Music and speaking the command to your IOS device. It's a nifty feature and one I thought not everyone would be aware of. However, this makes it even more ridiculous that room-

Ask ‘Alexa’ the weather, my eco, dot, and tap say “ in Brunswick, the weather is”. Both of the new Sonos Ones say “in Brook Park the weather is”. Alexa app is set up with the correct local address for both Sonos Ones, I don’t see anywhere in the sonos app to set a location. I think my internet provider is located in Brook Park (two towns over). Any ideas on what’s going on? Or how th fix?

Seems like the last album I asked Alexa to play will occasionally start playing through the speakers it was last playing or grouped to. Last night at about 3am after falling asleep downstairs, the living room Sonos starts blaring Tom Petty in concert. Kind of groggy I search my memory for how to turn it off thru Alexa, only to find out it was also blaring outside on the patio. Again, I told Alexa to turn off the patio speakers. This morning my wife told me as I got out of the shower, "why is Tom Petty playing outside on the patio". Apparently It started up again. Another problem I've been having is the music volume of selections I have asked Alexa to play through Sonos speakers turns way down, then back to it's normal volume, several times while playing. Not all the time, just occasionally. I realize we are on version 1.0 and I'm delighted with the work that's being done. Just reporting some bugs.

I have a Playbase with 2 Sonos Ones as the surrounds. I can use the Ones for Alexa and do use to control the lights and switches of my room using a skill. Sony has a range to TV's that can be controlled by Alexa. https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/articles/00186768 Can I use a Sonos one as the Alexa hub to control these TV's? I know Sonos cannot do all the Alexa skills. Thanks

Hello, I NEED your help. I have a new Sonos Beam with integrated Alexa - I have set it up with the app and it is also plugged into my TV. It works brilliant however the Alexa won’t do everything my Amazon Echo (in the Bedroom) will do. It doesn’t seem to play music on Spotify nor does it work to turn my lights on and off (Hue). In an ideal world I wanted the Echo and the Beam to work together. To be able to drop into each other - play the same track through both and both command my lights etc. Is that even possible? It is with 2 Echos or 2 Dots - so surely it should be with these two aswell? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Paul

I have only had my Sonos One a few days and so still trying to work it out. I have set it up, set up an Alexa account and linked to my spotify account. Spotify is my default music app, its all linked up etc. When I go into the Sonos app and play music on spotify it plays through the Sonos, no problem. However when I ask Alexa to "play XYZ playlist on Spotify" it does nothing!! Alexa repeats the command (so my assumption is that she has understood) but does not play it. Similar story if I request a radio station on TuneIn or when I give a command to control my Hive heating system. She repeats the command but nothing happens. I have read varies threads on here with similar issues and tried various fixes but nothing seems to work. The Alexa is working for other things like creating lists, asking random questions etc It just doesn't seem to connect to these other apps properly Has anybody got any advise here?!

After a day or so, my Sonos Beam stopped letting me control the volume. When I use "Alexa volume 5", I just get the "nuh uh" sound, the volume slider in the Sonos app doesn't actually change the volume, and the TV remote doesn't either. This is whether or not the TV is on, and no matter which audio service I'm using.

Alexa keeps saying "Sorry I am having problems understanding right now. Please try a little later". When she says this she also changes her accent from British to American.

Having just purchased the Sonos One and being extremely pleased with everything so far. I've tried to get Alexa to control my Amazon TV Fire stick. The Alexa app shows the fire stick but i cannot get seem to get it working. Does it have anything to do with the name of the device i'm trying to control. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A bit disappointed. I had an Amazon Fire TV Cube for my new TCL Roku TV and it worked great. It especially could turn the TV on and off via command. However, I did not like the audio on the TV so I thought I'd move the cube to another TV and get the Beam for this TV. I'm using just a plain Amazon Fire TV with the TV. The Beam definitely has better sound, but I can no longer turn the TV on or off. First, yes I have the CEC settings correct. I have connected the Beam to my Alexa account, and set it up as the device to control my Amazon Fire TV. I can search and pull up a movie and control playback. My Bean is attached to the ARC HDMI input. But I cannot turn the TV on or off. This is an issue because the Beam is so large, it covers the TV's remote signal detector and I have to stand up to be able to get the signal through to turn the TV on or off. I've seen other people have problems with turning tvs on or off, but I haven't seen any solution. Is this just not
