My surround speakers keep dipping in and out any idea to stop this

Hi All, I have a complete surround system (arc ultra, sub mini and 2 era 300 speakers.I would like to create a separate group just with the 2 era 300 lo listen to music instead of using the complete surround systemIs it possible to do that? how? Thanks

I have a lg Evo G5 with everything set on auto on sound settings and HDMI ARC.The Sonos App shows Dolby multichannel PCM 5.1 on a Amazon prime.Should it show Dolby atmos?Is there a test to make sure I have TV/arc ultra set-up properly?

I wanted to gauge from the community as to whether or not people are experiencing bad sound quality through their arc ultra speakers as I have had two units and both have produced a slightly distorted/fuzzy sound specifically from the right side of the speaker. I don’t know if it’s bad luck or not but wanted to check with others to see if they’re also experiencing this and what they did to fix it? My arc ultra is connected to my Samsung tv through the eARC port with the cable provided and use my Apple TV 4K Gen 1 to watch content. The fuzzy noise is present when watching any kind of media through the Apple TV as well as when I’m streaming music through the Sonos app and even when adding the product to my system through the chime it plays as well as during the trueplay tuning. I have even changed the settings on the Samsung tv such that sound is output via pass through rather than automaticAny help would be much appreciated, I will try get the product

SetupSpeakers - Arc with Sub and two play1 surround.latest iOS app the surrounds and sub are disconnected. I cannot remove them in app, When I removed the sub it crashed app (twice).I have now factory reset arc and sub then:1. have added arc (working)2. have added the sub (working)3. two play 1 speakers on system(working)ThenPrompted in app to Add sub to arc… All ok. Connected and success sound.Prompted in app to Add surround, select both speakers, test sounds, select the position…. All ok. Connected and then plays success sounds. Go back into the app… All home theater broken again.  Help? 

i have the sonos arc and i put in a home theater setup. i have no idea where to put the sonos arc because there’s cabinetry behind it that is not perfectly symmetrical. where would you put the sonos arc in this setup? is there a way to hang it from the ceiling? can i place it on the cabinets but off center? the seating is on the left already.

Hi I have a playbar with an optic output but my new Samsung TV only has an HDMI output and no optical. I tried connecting the playbar with an original Sonos Optical Audio Adapter with a male optical cord to the playbar and HDMI to hdmi input in the other end for the arc entrance on the TV - but it does not work. Sonos support can not help as they do not have a cord the works between the optical in Sonos and the hdmi in the TV. They say I might need a female optical to connect to the original optical/optical cord - with a HDMI input the other end (playbar male optical to female optical to hdmi to tv) but they do not know it it will work. Any suggestions? 

Hi everyone,I’m running into a volume balancing issue with my Sonos setup and I’m hoping for some guidance.Setup: Google TV / Google Streamer TV → Sonos Ray via optical Projector → Sonos Arc via HDMI eARC In both cases, I control the volume using the Google TV remote, which is correctly linked to the Sonos soundbar.The issue is that Google TV’s volume is already at maximum, so I have to increase the volume further in the Sonos app to get the TV sound loud enough. This works fine for TV and movies.However, this causes a problem when I start playing music or radio directly from Sonos (Spotify, radio streams, etc.). The volume is then much too loud, and I often have to quickly lower it to avoid being startled. This is especially annoying when grouping rooms (for example, when music is already playing in another room and I add a room with a soundbar).I’ve test

Hi allI thought I would start a thread about this since there are a lot of people with this issue looking for answers. There is currently an issue with the Asus firmware and Sonos devices set up in Home Theatre mode where Guest Network Pro has been activated on the router. For my setup it is the Arc paired with a Sub and Two ERA 300’s; however, many other setups also seem to be affected. Here is a long thread which I have been running where the process has been documented. Today Asus provided me with a Beta firmware which seems to have solved the issue. I know the Arc Ultra has the capability to sound brighter. More crisp. More clearer. More treble. It comes alive and shines and excels with Atmos content and even that can sound more crisp….but is dull otherwise with music and movies. Just feel like for the money I spent, I should have the option to go brighter and make all content come alive. It has like a gazillion speakers in it. It has so much potential. But I haven’t been able to enjoy this investment. The new Sonos amp tho, sounds amazing. I have that running some sonance speakers. Sounds crisp and clean. 

I have set all delays to zero on both TV and Sonos. I have set TV to Pass-Thru.  I don’t know what else to do to get rid of sound delay. 

I'm using Apple Music with a Sonos setup consisting of Arc + Sub + two Era 300 speakers.When I play the following album, playback consistently halts mid-track, and the Sonos system becomes completely unresponsive—as if it's frozen. I have issues with the sound sync on a certain channel (TV4) in Sweden when I have my Sonos system connected to my TV (Samsung S90D).  The problem is quite random and will usually appear after the commercial break. If I change channel and go back again the problem will disappear.  I have tried to use both Ethernet and WiFi connected to the Arc Ultra with a good connection but it is the same both ways. If I disconnect the HDMI cable from the sound system everything seems to be okay again. I have changed the sync settings in the software but the problem will remain.  Any idea what can cause this sync issue?     

Hi! My parents have given me their old Sonos playbase. I have the new Philips ambilight 4K TV which does not have the optical input. We bought an optical to HDMI adaptor and I have set up the playbase on the app, connected to the TV, changed settings on the TV so the audio should be coming out via HDMI but it is still coming out of the TV. When I press the volume the light flashes on the Sonos so it is all connected but just won’t play out of there. any advice? Thanks all!

I’m raising this issue yet again.   I can confirm that that Sonos Arc Ultra displays the same issue with the very latest LG C5 TV.   So this problem is not confined to some older TV’s or some small subset of manufacturers.  Sonos seems to be intent on completely refusing and ignoring the problem.  This is a bug.  When is Sonos planning to fix this? Once you have Sonos Arc connected through HDMI ARC connection, you can no longer use built-in TV menu to route the sound to whatever output you want - be it internal TV speakers, headphones connected to TV or anything else.  After a few seconds the sound is again routed to Sonos.  I have previously confirmed on Samsung TV, that this was not a problem with the Samsung soundbar or Sennheiser sound bar.I already raised it previously reporting it for other TV model and it was closed: Also found simi

I wanted to share this in case someone else runs into the same frustrating issue I did: TV: TCL P7K QLED Google TV (2025 model) Soundbar: Sonos Playbar (2015) Connection: Optical cable (no HDMI ARC) Remote: TCL stock remote (IR + Bluetooth hybrid) 🧨 The Problem:The Sonos S1 app wouldn’t complete remote pairing. Sometimes it would recognize the first Volume + press, sometimes not. Problem:Almost daily, my surrounds/sub all disconnect from the Arc Ultra and stop playing sound (thought he Arc continues working as expected). When this occurs, the app shows "Needs attention" for the Arc Ultra. Hi,I’ve seen this question has been asked couple of times but didn’t find any answer which would resolve the issue.My current setup is quite old Sony Bravia KD55XD8005 with ARC port, Sky Q 2TB UHD box and Arc Ultra.Sometimes when I change channels on Sky or starting a movie, sound would drop and I need to switch back, or hit pause/resume, or unplug/plug HDMI cable to get the sound back.I notice this happens when audio output is changing as some channels are with Dolby Digital 5.1, some are Dolby Digital 2.0 and most movies are Dolby Atmos. I’ve been speaking and Sonos support and they suggest to replace both HDMI cables (from Sky to TV and from TV to Arc Ultra) but I don’t think this is the issue because I’m using original cables and as I said, it only happens when audio output is changing.It's also worth mentioning that I had same setup with Sonos Arc (before upgrading to Arc Ultra) and didn’t have any issues with it. So I’m t

My sonos arc doesn’t produce sound when I turn on my setup of epson projector connecting sonos through an audio extractor automatically. It works sometimes when I turn off sonos completely from power and turn back on and setup again through firestick but sometimes that doesn’t work either. Looking for suggestions on how to fix this. Please advice. Thanks. 

Just curious to hear if folks here use Trueplay or turn it off?Every situation is different for every room, every person’s ears. But for me, I’ve come to turn Trueplay off as it seems be hindrance to sound quality than tuning and keeping it. Night and day difference. I might change mind later. But sounds more detailed and full with no Trueplay for me.Anyone else find the sound much better with or without Trueplay? 

Hi, I am unable to paid samsung solar remote to my Sonos playbar. I already went to settings on TV and added the remote as universal remote with the Sonos system. But still I cannot control the volume. It seems remote is working on bkuetooth mode and not IR mode. Not sure how to switch to IR mode. Please help. Kind Regards

I have a Sonos Beam 2 which I want to connect to a Samsung Frame TV which uses a separate control box for all connections. This control box is 15.meters from the TV and Sonos. We have tried to connect the Sonos to the control box across CAT5E/CAT6 cabling with an HDMI extender at each end to enable the HDMI inputs into the Sonos and Samsung control box. The problem is the Sonos is now flashing white and orange and sound volume is limited to level 15. Can anyone suggest a way to resolve this problem?
