I have a suggestion for great balanced sound when listening to music and it would be helpful when listening to TV as well. I normally sit on a sofa along the back wall facing the Arc Ultra on the front wall, with two Era 300’s just behind the sofa along the left and right walls, and two subwoofers behind each sofa arranged in an L pattern. I prefer to sit on either end of the sofa with the armrest which is closest to one of the surround speakers.The surround audio tv and music levels are set to -15 to try to get sound away from the surrounds and towards the Arc. All I cannot hear is music from either the left or right Era 300, which overpowers the Arc Ultra. I hear nothing from the Arc Ultra unless I get up and walk towards the front of the room. The solution would be to put a graphic joystick in the Sonos app, which would allow you to balance the sound anywhere in the room relative to where you are sitting. Arc won’t unmute after Apple TV remote mutes the volume 

Right, need some advice please. Current setup in a large conservatory I have stereo pair of fives at one end and stereo pair of ones at the other end, currently group together when playing music. I have just ordered a beam gen 2 and a sub gen 4. What would be the best setup, music would be the priority over TV. Do I pair the sub to the 5s then group the ones and the beam to play music, or pair the sub to the beam and then group the 5s and the 1s to play all together. Or setup with beam as 5.1 and put 5s as the rears and set to full playback for music. Any advice would be appreciated

How can I raise the volume on my era 100's while not raising the volume on my arc ultra?

I’ve just ordered an AWOL Aetherion max projector, and I’m planning on an Arc ultra and Era 300 set up. I’ve just got off the phone with Sonos and they told me that their products are designed for use with TV’s not projectors and that there could be a syncing issue if I try and connect this set up to a UST projector. The projector does have an HDMI eArc connector. Before I spend a lot of money can anyone advise me if there may be some truth in what Sonos are saying or would I expect no problems at all? Thanks

First issue you don't have a category for Beam 2 on you user group signup!Second issue, I have my TV mounted on an arm so that I can move it, and I can't find a speaker mount that fits the Beam 2, and ideas?Beginning to regret buying Beam 2 - I have purchased and returned SANUS and other brands, they claim to to have a universal bracket but it doesn't fit. a and SANUS support is appalling' nah sorry non-existent.

A couple weeks ago after a firmware update, my Arc stopped communicating with the ERA100 surrounds. After a few days of hoping the problem would correct itself, no such luck. The error was “not connected’ for the surrounds. After trying several simple fixes (reboot, etc.) I ended up resetting the surrounds to factory. The Arc was working normally so I didn’t do anything to it.After a number of failures with the same result, I called tech (non)support.  Their analysis of the diagnostics was that the surrounds weren’t getting an ip address. We have a commercial grade infrastructure with a central dhcp server and multiple Aruba access points. The subnet is 255.255.0.0. The Arc is 10.11.190.x and the surrounds are 10.11.187.x, which are in the same subnet.The next step they want is a “complete network layout or network map. I have had my Arc Ultra along with two Era 100 and a sub mini for about a month. This is by far the best sound I have ever had watching Movies, TV, etc... I'm incredibly satisfied... But.As title says, when I play PS5 games (only console I have), the in-game volume is way too quiet. The Sonos volume is adjusted to what I like (50/100) and volume is great in everything, TV, AppleTV, watching movies, etc... The volume is also right in the PS5 menu. Like, normal level across all devices. But in-game is way too quiet.My TV (LG C1) audio is set to HDMI eARC on passthrough. The PS5 is set to Sound Bar, Dolby Atmos (tried Linear PCM too). I have tried numerious combinations of these settings. No luck. When I'm in game, the Sonos app reports Dolby Atmos output. Hi, I have recently upgraded my entire Home Cinema setup and am getting results I don’t fully understand.When I play Dolby Atmos content (media in local network, often DDP with Atmos) I get different results shown in te Sonos app depending on where I play it:Plex app, client on Sony TV (Google TV) → Sonos app displays “Dolby Atmos”  Plex app, client on AppleTV 4K (3. gen) → Sonos app displays “Multichannel PCM 5.1” My question:Is Sonos simply not ‘labelling’ the audio format correctly in the Sonos app when playing via AppleTV, or is the audio actually being ‘downgraded’ to 5.1 and the Atmos being lost?Just for context, my setup is Sonos Arc Ultra (connected to TV via HDMI, eARC) Sony Bravia 8 II Apple TV 4K (Plex server running on macmini, content stored on NAS)

Hello. A few months ago I bought a Sonos Arc Ultra, 2 Era 300s and two Sub 4s. It's working on an 85" TCL TV connected to an Apple TV 4K. The audio quality is spectacular. However, I'm having two problems:When I leave the system off for 10 minutes, when I turn it back on, the sound takes about 5 seconds to be heard. It's as if the amplifiers are turned off and only turn on after receiving a signal via HDMI.The other problem is the lack of volume under certain conditions. I've done extensive research online, and absolutely everything in the TV and Apple TV setup is in line with what's needed to get the best results. I've also tried TruePlay in various ways. Few content can be heard satisfactorily in terms of volume without using at least 70%.For comparison, I also have a Bose 600 + 5" subwoofer, and the volume of both systems is very similar, perhaps a little louder with the Bose.I've tried using the Apple TV output only, but the volume results are the same

Hi all,I was curious if anyone had come across this issue, or a similar one, with the Sonos Beam (Gen 2) - Audio generating audio feedback? In this particular instance it occurred on the Thor (2011) blu-ray during Loki hammer scene, where Loki attempts to pick up Thor’s hammer. This is the only instance I’ve had of this issue and I’m wondering if it’s possibly the blu-ray itself but before I pony up for a new one, I figured I’d ask here.

HelloI own a Beam Gen2; Sub-mini; and two Era300 speakers.Whilst I am reasonably technical I'm not a sound guy, I'm very much plug an play, and want an out of box no messing about experience. The Era300s are not ideally placed as stated on the Sonos website, they are placed in real life scenarios, due to my room they had to be wall mounted 1.4m high on the rear wall, directly opposite the tv and soundbar, yes the tv isn't at 42inches height but there are practical considerations, you can have everything. I follow the trueplay instruction video, yet I feel the system is not balanced, sounds good but missing that final touch do you not only have to walk around the seated area but alcoves and everywhere etc. I realise the sound bar atmos function is virtual, so with the era300s do I have to do do extra configuration, as I said Im not a sound tech engineer, just and end user. Besides things should not be complex right?  

I have a Ray with Apple TV, everything works ok except the audio choices. I have the optical connected and airplay works as well. The issue I have is I want the audio to default to the optical, the Apple TV seems to default to the Airplay which is the only way I can have volume control, when I switch back to the optical I loose volume control. The Sono’s app works fine and I can control the ray with other Sono’a in my home. In short is there a way to only have optical audio and control it with the Apple Remote. 

Hi!I owned a Arc + 2xEra 300 + Sub gen 3 setup and it was overwhelming on cinematic performance and average on music - I was missing the middle lows in music performance (which are very present on the demo sounds of sonos, so it's likely a DSP thing not hardware).As Arc Ultra promised better bass due to the new sound force technology, I made the upgrade and... well... I am not satisfied at all. Everything sounds the exact same as before. I did trueplay tuning (tried all three variants), EQ setup etc etc.I get even a little better performance turning the sub off in the mid los but then the deep subs are missing of course.I don't get why my SONOS system is performing so bad on mid-lows but only on music... All is perfect on movies... If sonos would only give us more control over music EQ :( That being said, I was asked by ​@Corry P to create a diagnostic. I created even three and made some trouble

Great quality until an update in 2025 that made speakers randomly pop. Tried all the things to help but still happens. Never ever purchase a product from this company.

I have issues with the sound sync on a certain channel (TV4) in Sweden when I have my Sonos system connected to my TV (Samsung S90D).  The problem is quite random and will usually appear after the commercial break. If I change channel and go back again the problem will disappear.  I have tried to use both Ethernet and WiFi connected to the Arc Ultra with a good connection but it is the same both ways. If I disconnect the HDMI cable from the sound system everything seems to be okay again. I have changed the sync settings in the software but the problem will remain.  Any idea what can cause this sync issue?     

Hi Guys,  I cannot seem to get my 2 Sonos Play ones to connect to with my beam to make a surround experience. I can connect the 2 speakers as single or as a stereo pair but when I click on the beam and add the 2 Sonos ones as surrounds they are coming up saying “not connected” I have tried to factory test both Sonos ones and the beam and I am still getting the same issue  I have attached a screen shot below 

Hi. I have a Beam, Sub Mini and two Play1 for surround sound.  All speakers work with music and appear as one group. However during TV playback, the two Play1 speakers just have a light static noise. Sub is working, as is the Beam. TV playback is showing as 5.1 surround. Any ideas? Thanks 👍 

I have a question about the Sonos Sound Bar app on my Smart TV. (My Sonos app on mobile phone works as expected and enables me to control all my audio settings. My question does not relate to the sonos app on my mobile phone). As part of setting up my sonos arc ultra and sub gen 4 with my smart TV, a mysterious "Sonos Sound Bar" app has appeared on my SmartTV. This app is grey with a white speaker image on it. Clicking on the app reveals no functionality at all: all I am shown is a series of weird black and white lines on the screen. The images look semi artistic and look like attempts to draw different types of sound waves. The images change every few seconds. But other than this, the app does nothing. And I am unable to delete it from my SmartTV Does anyone else have the same experience? What is this app for? It seems completely superfluous and bizarre. 

I currently have an arc with 2 x 1sl’s for surrounds in my lounge and it works fine with the usual tv apps and my Virgin streaming box but when I use the Firestick the some bounces from arc to SL1 surround’s and back
