My sonos Sub Gen 3, stopped working when I got a new Wi-Fi set up at home, I have done everything possible, resetting it severally, connecting it and reconnecting it severally as well, I have moved my sonos product to different rooms in the app and created different room as well with no success. Right now the sub shows it’s connected, I can see from the app that my sub is connected but not playing, the sound isn’t coming out and it’s frustrating to me because I like the sounds of the sub when listening to music, it’s just my my Sonos Arc that is working properly.. Please I need  sonos support team to help me sort this out, my visitors are not impressed on New Year celebration because my sub wasn’t working. Please advice me on what to do next..Regards

Hi everyone. I connected two surround speakers to the Arc Ultra. In the Sonos app, one speaker was added as the left surround and the other as the right surround. However, it’s not possible to set up Trueplay — it says that the speaker cannot be found.At the same time, with the Beam Gen 2, the One speakers connect without any problems and work perfectly.

Hi there,I have a Sonos system with gen1 Beam and a Sub that I use for my TV.  I’d like to get rid of the TV and get a projector instead.  What do I need to know to ensure that the connection between my devices (the projector, the Beam, and--I assume--my Mocbook Pro, which will probably be the most used source of the audio/video).  Are there going to be lag issues?  Are there certain types of connectivity that I need to make sure the projector includes? Thanks! 

My Sonos ray when connected to my TVvia optical cable does not appear on the app. When out of cable it works in the app.help?

Hi Sonos users,I used to have Play 3 surrounds along with a Beam gen 1 + sub gen 1. I’ve now replaced the play 3’s with era 100 surrounds. I noticed the surrounds didn’t sound as good with the Era 100’s as they did with the Play 3’s. After a bit of reading, I learnt that I should change the digital audio out format on my tv from stereo (uncompressed) to Multichannel (bypass). My TV is a Phillips. This has improved the surround quality from the era 100’s when I’m watching normal channels. However, now when I want to watch Amazon Prime Video, the speakers don’t work unless I change the settings back to stereo (uncompressed). I didn’t have to do this with the Play 3’s. Has anyone else experienced this and does anyone know why my new set up requires this settings change?Thanks

Screen black outs happen intermittently when Arc connected and running PS5 or BluRay Player.  How do I fix it as it was never an issue before?  This started suddenly fall of 2025 with no changes to set up.  Samsung TV.

Hello - I have an Arc Ultra in the basement with ceiling mounted rear speakers that are wired to an Amp one floor above. The ceiling speakers work great for music when not bonded to the Amp, and when I bond the Speakers/Amp to the Arc Ultra they will work as rear surrounds temporarily. Eventually they will disconnect and the Amp will lose connection to the Arc Ultra. I understand the problem is likely that the Arc Ultra is probably too far from the Amp; moving the Amp closer to the Arc Ultra is not possible due to wiring issues however.My question: is there any way to strengthen the connection between the Arc Ultra and the Amp without physically moving them closer together?Both the Amp and Arc Ultra are connected via WiFi. There is no hard-wiring in the system to the router. Thanks!

My right surround (Play S1) randomly plays birdsong. It usually happens in the morning when I do not have the TV on but occasionally happens while I'm watching TV and have the front sound playing through my beam. 

I have switched the remote to IR mode, but the play bar doesn’t recognise it. Any ideas?

I ran into the exact same issue people outlined in another thread now closed of a similar title. I managed to solve it for €30 and have so far not run into any issues.  I used a HDMI splitter where the EDID can be set to tell the UB820 to output multichannel PCM (as it seems the C9 tells it to output stereo). I plugged the UB820 output into the splitter input and then the output of the splitter to the TV (not into the Sonos ARC). I have an LG C9 and Sonos ARC and I'm now getting Dolby atmos with atmos discs and 7.1 LPCM with DTS MA/HD (haven’t tested DTS X yet) discs. No issues with Dolby vision either.  I set the splitter not to copy the EDID of the tv (as this is the issue) but set it to the Dolby Atmos/vision/7.1 EDID setting. UB820 set to PCM for DTS (secondary audio to off). C9 set to eARC and pass through. I cannot get the studio pair of era 300’s to work in conjunction of the existing theater system

Is anybody else experiencing certain Dolby Atmos music tracks where you can barely hear the vocals? I have come across this quite often recently with Dire Straits Sultans of Swing being the most recent. Could this be a Sonos issue with playback of certain songs where the vocals practically disappear? I can't imagine Mark Knopfler approving the release of this song sounding this way. Any thoughts or feedback?

I recently bought an Xgimi projector (optical and hmi e arc) and 120” screen to start improving my at-home movie experience , and now that the image quality is on point , I’m starting to work on a proper audio setup. The problem is that I know nothing about speakers and audio setups :) .Here’s the thing though : my apartment is an attic apartment , the slanted ceiling can be a challenge to work with and , as a result, I only had a single proper rectangular wall on which to install the screen . It also happens to be the wall with the sliding door to the bedroom right in the middle of it . Now that’s not a problem at all for the screen which unrolls right in front of it . But when it comes to sound installation , that makes it impossible to place a soundbar underneath the screen since it would be overlapping the door . Hi all,I was curious if anyone had come across this issue, or a similar one, with the Sonos Beam (Gen 2) - Audio generating audio feedback? In this particular instance it occurred on the Thor (2011) blu-ray during Loki hammer scene, where Loki attempts to pick up Thor’s hammer. This is the only instance I’ve had of this issue and I’m wondering if it’s possibly the blu-ray itself but before I pony up for a new one, I figured I’d ask here.

Setting up my arc ultra sub and 2x300 era.Do they all need to be put in the same room?

Hi, I ‘ve setup the Arc Ultra, Sub 4 in Media room, and Era 100 two speakers in living room. I’m unable to setup surrounds as Era 100 speakers. Can you please check and suggest.ThanksRavi

Hello. I have just bought a new TV (Hisense 50E7QTUK). I have followed the instructions, I believe carefully, to set up the new remote. Obviously, I have connected it using the optical connection. When I get to the point during setup to press UpVolume, I get the usual attached error message.Now, here’s the odd thing. If I try with Bluetooth switched on for the TV/Remote comms, the message appears after some seconds (ie, times out, expected behaviour). If I switch Bluetooth off (as recommended on many forums) so that my remote is purely IR, the same error message appears straight away. I have also tried an old, IR only control. I have also factory reset my Soundbar. The remote batteries are fresh and there is clear line of sight.What’s next please? 

Recently I bought a Sonos move because I wanted to be able to group it to my Sonos Beam audio and have separate audio control. Every time I group it to the beam the audio on the move cuts out every ten seconds on the dot. I thought maybe it was the speaker so I got an Era 100 instead. It only does it on tv audio and not music sources from my phone. I’ve tried factory resetting both the beam and the era 100, changing different audio output settings on my tv to bitstream, pcm, changing audio to compressed in the Sonos app, rebooted the router which sits about 10 feet away from the speakers. Adjusting the group audio delay fixes it but then there’s an obvious delay to the era 100 which defeats the point of grouping them. If anyone has any guidance or run into this issue I’ve tried everything I have been able to find how to fix this. 

If I listen to music during the day and use all my Sonos products including the arc ultra everything is fine. Later in the day or evening I turn on the TV connected to the arc ultra, all the speakers play the TV sound but all the speakers in the house seem to be 10 times louder than the arc ultra,  it’s a very unpleasant experience for my ears. Is there a way to set Sonos not to use the other speakers when I turn on the tv? Otherwise I have to go in the Sonos app and configure it properly before turning on the tv, kind of defeats the convenience of having the soaps system.

My Sonos Beam connects to the TV starts playing then drops. I have tried everything I can do. Still not working. I disconnected and connected it again, but it keeps dropping. 

I’ve received a replacement for my malfunctioning Beam Gen2 (same model replacement). I have 2x One SL’s on my current WiFi/System.  setting up the replacement Beam went fine through the app. At the end the app said to power cycle if I didn’t see the device on my app. I’ve power cycled the Beam and my router several times. Still nothing in the app. I double checked to make sure the One SL’s are working on the same network. They are paired as a stereo set and working fine so I doubt this is a wireless network issue. 

Hello all. New to the Sonos ecosystem and an having this issue as described by a previous post. The post was locked with. I solution being provided and I have searched far and wide for a solution. All of my Sonos speakers, no matter the room they are in, will go into a “perma-mute” showing a solid green light. Only way to unmute is to physically touch the volume on the speaker or to go into the app and tap the unmute button. Please help!
