Since 23rd May I can no longer play my android files via my Play 1. This speaker is not bluetooth capable so why has Sonos degraded my usability?
Hi guys,I wasn’t sure how to categorize this but no matter what i type in the Edit Address in the Profile section, after it’s “saved successfully”, it keeps reverting to Ashburn, United States with a postal code 20149 and leaving rest of the fields blank.I wiped out all cookies, browsing history, etc. but nothing helps. Same happens when trying to edit my address via phone’s browser. I use “Brave” browser on both.Does anybody have any advice on this? :/
Hello,my roommate and I have been trying to place our first order on Sonos.com. It always gives us a confirmation screen of success, then it never emails an email confirmation or shows up in the order history. We’ve already reached out numerous times and the sales team always says “it’s a payment error, it’s on your card” but our cards all say that there was no problem. I even paid through PayPal and the authorization is still there, but support just told me it was auto cancelled due to payment verification still. My card issuer told me that the charge went through fine! The cherry on the sundae is that in response to an escalation to the operations team to find out why it isn’t working, my roommate got this answer back:———“Thank you for reaching out to Sonos support. We sincerely apologize for the delay in following up. After looking it over, we are unable to process your order at the moment. With that being said, we highly suggest checking our partner stores if any of them carry the sa
Not sure if this is really feasible or not, but I would like the ability to lock an instance (device) of the Sonos app so that it can only control a single Sonos room. The use case is that a user may have a laptop/Mac/tablet/etc that tends to always remaining in a single room in the home, like a home office. Currently, I need to open the Sonos app, and wait for it to locate all the rooms in home. These can take several seconds for me as I have about 15 Sonos rooms (yea, I need to reduce that). Once done, it never defaults to the room I’m currently in, so I have to scroll to pick it. Then I need to go click around to pick what sort of music I want to listen to. Sure I could just use voice control if it’s available in the room, but I don’t really know what I want to listen to yet.So if I could go into settings and say that I want to lock to a specific room then the app would only be concerned about discovering that single room...not all 15. It should speed things up considerable.
If I choose to register for the upgrade credit does anything at all change with the speakers that I register for the credit? do they still work (never bricked by the system) and still get updates, etc? it says my Sonos One and One SL’s are eligible but I don’t want to lose them from my system.
Been trying to tune for a few weeks, but always get an error message about ambient noise. While waiting on line for Sonos tech support, I moved from my usual armchair position over to the couch (a distance of 7 feet) and voilà, it completed the tuning.
Encore déconnecté 😬l'arc fonctionne seule... Mes 2 ones et mon sub ne fonctionne pas.
HelloIf you have not purchased an Era 300/Era 100 speaker, then the following survey means nothing to you. Then again maybe you have purchased an Era Series speaker and don’t intend to use stands or wall mounts…again the survey has no meaning for you. On a final note maybe, you found a competitive stand/wall mount that meets your need…once again the survey mean nothing to you. However, if you’re like me and have been waiting on stands for the Era 300 speaker for two months then...yes, the survey is relevant. Full disclosure, I was able to get stands for four (4) of my Era 300 speakers upon first launch. However, I’m still waiting on four (4) more Era 300 stands ordered on April 1, 2023. So maybe the jokes on me for ordering stands on April Fools Day. Those of you in the U.S who are familiar with and know the significance of the date, can laughing relate to my comment. 😅What Do You Think Survey: Was there a shift in buyers’ preference to place speakers on stands rather than on a table.
The current Port hasn’t been out on the market that long, but wondering out loud if it makes sense for the next gen of the Port to include an HDMI or HDMI-eARC port to output atmos/spatial audio. Perhaps even able to input via HDMI or HDMI-eARc atmos/spatial audio.I guess in a more general sense, I want the Port to be atmos/spatial audio capable. Here’s more specifics of the features/scenarios I’d want to see.If you have an existing 3rd party setup for a atmos capable home theatre setup, than a Port:Gen 2 could be used as a atmos music streamer for your setup. As far as I know, there aren’t any other streaming boxes that really do this just for audio. This feels like a natural upgrade for the Port and stays true with original reason the Port was created in the first place. When grouping Sonos rooms right now, the group plays to the lowest common denominator. In other words, if you group an Arc room, pair of Era 300s, and a Port...you’ll get stereo. Upgrading the Port to be atmos
HelloEveryone comes to this community to get information on how to get the best performance out of their Sonos speaker system. However, there are very (and I mean very) few threads that start with “I just want to tell you how great my Sonos sounds and here’s why”. That’s OK…because this community exists to share ideas on what works, what does not and help resolve issues of all sorts. It serves as a venue to vent frustrations and/or utter discuss with Sonos. One member offered to send a video of them burning their Sonos gear as the ultimate expression of their level of dissatisfaction. Thankfully, posts to that extreme are very, very rare.😜However, after all is said and done most want to know how their system should sound. The recuring answer in this community; regardless of whether or not you have an iOS device to use TruePlay, is to “trust your ears”. If it sounds good to you then your system is properly setup/tuned”. That’s parallel to saying “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”.
Hi Sonos community I’m owner play 5 gen1 with eligible for upgrade programme. Unfortunately when login to my account I can see my speaker eligible to programme. Sonos confirmed that speaker is eligible. How to claim this discount? Thank you !
I am wondering is someone could advise me (someone with limited hi-fi experience) if I would have any issues connecting a Denon pra-1200 preamp to my sonos era 300. I have been given the preamp along with some other components and wondered if this would be Ok to connect to sonos to allow the sony prx 600 turntable to be used?I believe that the output impedance of the preamp is 10ohm. Will this be OK?
Hi With the introduction of the Era 300 and Era 100 models Sonos gave the user two options to protect their privacy regarding voice assistants:Privacy Tap: Deactivates the voice assistant by tapping the speech bubble on top of the speaker. The light will turn off. You’ll still have access to other mic-enabled features, like Trueplay. * Security Switch: Prevents accidental activation of the voice assistant by toggling off a switch on the back of the speaker. This method disconnects all power to the microphone for added privacy/security.Most likely the above privacy/security options will be introduced on whatever the replacements/upgrades will be for the Arc, Beam, Move and Roam. As well as any new models Sonos decides to release. As the title implies some are still hoping Sonos will introduce Era 300/100 SL models with no voice assistant capability a’la the Sonos One; and briefly the Arc. IMO hardware isn’t the answer. If you recall (upon initial introduction) the price difference betwee
Hi EveryoneJust want to share an Era 100 mounting project using the Sonos Era 100 Wall Mounts that is not the norm. I use my garage a lot and like to have music playing. For perspective it’s a three (3) car garage with a concrete rear wall (which is where the speakers are mounted). I didn’t want to drill holes in the concrete and cause a crack (or cracks) as it’s a retaining wall that’s under ground. The project requires selecting a bonding agent that will bond wood to concrete or similar surface. I chose Liquid Nails Fuze*It Max construction grade adhesive. I allowed 48 hours curing time to achieve the strongest bond. After curing, the bond is rated to hold to over 64 lbs (29 kg) of attached weight. Click the links (Manufacturer Specs and Independent Review) for more information.FYI, the picture was taken on top of my riding mower. Another vehicle in my garage 😂 Manufacturer Specshttps://www.liquidnails.com/how-to/5-reasons-to-use-a-high-quality-drywall-adhesiveIndependent Reviewhttp

Hi I very glad to hear that sonos has partnered with Deezer to provide and power sonos radio and radio HD from April 2023 thank you really appreciate your Radio service
You Gotta Laugh 😂In addition to high demand for Sonos newly released products and accessories causing an order backlog…. you may have to deal with FedEx Ground either not moving the package or mis-routing it to another destination causing more delay. Ordered a set of Era 100 wall mounts 3 weeks ago. Sonos was finally able to ship them on 4-21-23 from California distribution center. The promised delivery date by FedEx Ground was 4/27/23.FedEx Ground online tracking is now stating POSSIBLE delivery on 5/1/23. Called and spoke to a FedEx agent and their internal tracking shows delivery on 4/28/23. WOW 😯!!So the bottom-line is that my mounts are somewhere on a truck. However, the question is whether the package is moving towards me (from original ship point) or coming back from a mis-routing to another destination.Gotta Love It 😍! 😂!
having recently had my Roam renewed under a warranty issue , but still not set it up due to being away from home.I am being bombarded with e-mails , how did we do, sign in and get 15% for handing back your old system etc etc Take our survey and get 20% off your next purchaseSo you take the survey , but it says you have put the wrong input in , which I have not ,So cant complete the survey. You then try and contact sonos to tell them its not working and get a return e-mail saying its not monitored??????So why am I doing the bloody survey?I love the products and recommended them to others but have also told them to buy it from a third party retailer with an extended warranty so if anything goes wrong they dont have to deal with the nightmare that is Sonos Direct .
I took delivery of 2 x Era 300’s yesterday to be used as rear speakers with my Beam (Gen 2) and Sub (also Gen 2). I just wanted to provide some early feedback for those who may be interested.Set up was incredibly easy after removing the existing speakers (Play:3’s).Naturally, I wanted to experience some music in Dolby Atmos and I went straight to Amazon Music and Apple music to add some albums to ‘My Sonos’. I realise that the Atmos content will improve over time but as an aside, there wasn’t too much for me to choose from as a ‘Classic Rock/Progressive Rock’ fan. The best sounding albums I have found so far in Atmos are ‘Brothers In Arms’ and ‘Rumours’. Identifying Dolby Atmos albums when searching for an artist’s album is also another story and needs to be improved by the streaming companies. Apple does have a dedicated Atmos section you can access from their app so that’s probably the easiest was of finding Atmos content at the moment. I enjoyed the Atmos mixes of those two albums b
According to the 15.3 update notes..it says performance enhancements…like what? Anyone know? Forget the bug fixes as all updates state this.
Hi, we have been seeing disconnect issues with a four room speaker Sonos Play system. Sonos support have advised that the BT Smart Hub 2 Wi-Fi should be set to Mode 2 which seems to have fixed the issue. You’ll need to logon to the BT Smart Hub 2 as admin to do this. I did this on two separate BT Smart hubs and both got stuck with the saving the change message (usually they save new settings ok). If this happens just wait a few minutes with the saving message displayed and then restart the hub. Then recheck the settings, for both hubs we changed they had stored the new Mode 2 Wi-Fi setting correctly, despite being stuck in save mode.BT info. re. Wi-Fi mode settings:The modes are: Mode 1: Gives you the fullest featured wireless, maximising speed and range. Mode 2: Some devices can sometimes struggle to use the latest wireless features. If you have any devices that can't get a good wireless connection, try using this mode.See the following for more info. What is the wireless mode feature
Instead of buying the Sonos Arc set for my living room, I’m selling my Roams, Plays One and Five. I’ve got a 30% success rate at using the Roam “as intended”.Not acceptable for such an expensive piece of kit. I’ll not be back to Sonos.
I recently noticed that my playlists seemed to be missing on my android phone app. Only a few icons were visible in the playlist category of My Sonos and when I scrolled left no more could be seen. I thought they were gone. I looked on my PC desktop app and all the lists were there. I discovered by accident that if you tap on the “Playlists >” category title in My Sonos on the phone you get a full list of all the playlists. My frustration was assuming there was an icon for each list. Hope this helps some searching for their “missing” playlists.
A question for the moderator(s) of this community: since a couple of days I no longer receive mail when a new answer was added to a discussion I subscribed to. The last mail I received was on March 21, after that nothing. Is this a problem on my side or is it a community/Insided problem? BTW I did check my spambox, no mails there either.
Sonos pushed through an update today and ever since I can not listen to any groups of speakers without the warning that I am using a Wi-Fi range extender and can not listen to any group speakers anymore. Individually they all work, one at a time. I don't have a Wi-Fi extender but do have a mesh system, spent an hour with customer service rebooting system, unplugging every speaker, adding an ethernet cable to any speakers in range all with no fix. Finally they suggested that I have to call ASUS and get them to switch my network over to “bridge mode” as the only fix.It worked fine yesterday and every day before today’s update to 15.2. The CSR even admitted they have never seen the warning code before. Anyone else having this issue?
