Upgraded to Sequoia 15.0 on my MacBook which caused Sonos to be unable to find my system.I followed Reddit online advise to check the settings: Settings/Privacy & Security/Local Network/Sonos, and toggled Sonos On, Viola! System found and music is back on in this place. Thais after spending an hour on the phone with both Sonos & Apple...Ever Onwards :)
I just bought an Arc and 2 Era300’s for the basement and a Beam and 2 Era 100’s for the living room. 2 questions: 1- Who engineered the Sonos App? What a piece of s***. 2- The Era’s in both rooms cut out for like 0.25 seconds every 15 seconds or so. Why?3- A third question just popped into my head? My are people so impressed with this garbage? Hi y’all. So I just recently purchased a beam 2 last month and I want to get two era 300’s. I’m aware of the upgrade program but when I traverse the app, I don’t see anything allowing me to initiate the process. I’m really confused. I wanna get these speakers and I want to use the credit. My speaker has been registered and I have an account so I don’t know what the deal is
The TruePlay option is "grayed out" in the IOS app (80.14.09).Is this expected? I know the app has been under construction since May.Anyone else see this?“Grayed out” may be the wrong term … the text on what *should* be the TruePlay “button” is so faint that it can hardly be read.
I have several large playlists on my local music library. I like to turn shuffle on and just let it play. However, it is very apparent that Shuffle is still preferring songs based on some algorithm. A playlist that would normally take several days to play through entirely should never repeat a song until all other songs have been played. I double checked my playlists, no, no songs are entered in the list more than once. Please make local library shuffle a true random shuffle mix not influenced by anything.
This has to be the worst customer support service on the market. Never in a million years will I ever buy their faulty products at the cost they ask, when the support is basically s***e. Avoid Avoid Avoid. Don't even buy a product from them, once a fault occurs you're doomed.Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
I moved and am going to use the new house A/V equipment. I have an amp, playback, Beam, Sub and 2 Move speakers. Could someone give me an idea how I should price these items? Thanks!
Send this to the CEO today. Since Patric Spence states that he is always open to feedback, let’s see if he is finally also willing to provide a more meaningful dialog and update. TO: Patrick SpenceDec 15, 2024___________ Mr. Spence, I have been a loyal Sonos user since 2020, and for much of that time, I was a happy customer. However, since May 2024, I, like many others, have become deeply disillusioned with the Sonos brand. I chose the Sonos system for its unique features and the quality it represented - a commitment that led me to invest over 5,000 euros in your products, placing Sonos devices in almost every room of my home. Your leadership, however, seems to have shifted focus. Instead of enhancing the experience for your existing customers, the priority appears to be on developing new features and products to attract new users and appease shareholders. This misguided emphasis culminated in the infamous May update - a cautionary tale for other brands. For those of us who trusted
Anyone know of a way to change the sonos pre-defined music categories? For instance, SONOS categorizes some of my “Bluegrass” music as “Contemporary Country.” Seems to me, there should be a way to go into the Sonos music listing and change the category of a given CD etc. Any Comments?
Do I need an Apple Music subscription to synch my music on Sonos? Until recently, my music was synced to Sonos without a subscription. That seems to no longer be true. Did something happen to change this?
The new Sonos App is SO ATROCIOUSLY BAD that it scares me - makes me think management is so far gone that there is no hope for restoring minimal user experience. I have never experienced anything like this from a real company taking enormous sums of money from customers and then slamming us all into hell. WTF??
Took the app update 80.14.07- ( and firmware 16.5 ). Tried to load a Music Library playlist to the queue. Using Add to End of Queue which immediately failed with the error Unable to add to queue. So I tried Replace Queue which started play very quickly. When I looked at the queue it was flashing violently and continuously adding the Music Library playlist over and over until it reached 47628 tracks at which point it stopped. queue is broken! did not try this with any services. That flashing queue is scary.
Fix yous App!!!!!!!!
Hi All, My Playbar developed the well known high pitch noise issue. Initially, SONOS support was fantastic, within 30 minutes I had a free replacement processed and the shipping labels to send my Playbar to Poland for a replacement to be sent back to me free of charge. The Playbar was picked up, no problems, and shipped to Poland by DHL in a timely fashion. This is where the problems have arisen. The package has been sitting at ‘Shipment on hold status’ since the 3rd of December. When I contact DHL to query the hold reason, they say that SONOS is using a 3rd party customs broker to get the package through customs, and that they have no information on what’s happening and cannot assist. They then advised I would need to contact SONOS for answers on turnaround time etc. I then speak to SONOS support who initially told me that it had arrived at the warehouse, but was not yet scanned in, and that I should have an email confirming the replacement has been shipped within 48 hours. 2 days
First of all, I love my Sonos system, have had it for years, and continue to upgrade with new products. The app hiccup has been pretty annoying, but I'm sticking with you guys. I have been eagerly waiting on my year end bonus so I could purchase the Sonos Ace and was super excited when they arrived today. But, I have to give one piece of feedback right away. This case is horrible. EVERYTHING sticks to the material. I've had it out of the box for a few hours and it already looks dirty. I'm sorely disappointed in it at this price point.
I received my Beam Gen 2 sound bar last week. The adhesive tape securing the inner bag was applied over the top of the sound bar as the bag was not completely closed before the adhesive tape was applied. I am now faced with the task of removing the residue without further marking the matt black surface. Sonos factory in too mush of a rush packing these properly out for Christmas.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a new member on the Sonos?
New member, best information?
My previous Sonos support a few years ago was fantastic, this was the reason I invested in next gen speakers when the S2 app came out.The S2 app is a complete disaster, Spotify integration sucks and support, which used to be great, now sucks as well. Sonos is supposed to be a premium product, which I’m happy to pay extra for, but they are at present not providing value for money!
Hello Sonos community,I have a specific inquiry regarding the Sonos Move 2 in the 'Green' color variant. I am very enthusiastic about this particular shade and would like to paint my wall in exactly the same color. Therefore, I would greatly appreciate if you could provide me with the exact color code (RAL, Pantone, or RGB) of this olive green shade.Thank you in advance for your assistance.Kind regards,
I have a Music Hall turntable, not quite audiophile quality, but pretty good - and I’d like to upgrade someday, but after all the research I’ve done on sound quality for the Sonos inputs, it sounds like a waste at this point. Are there any rumors of Sonos updating either product with a higher quality input? If I could ask Sonos to design a product, it would essentially be the NAD M10 V3 with built in phono stage and speaker outs, large OLED touchscreen, etc..I’m heavily invested in Sonos; Arc, Sub3, One (x2), Move, and Beam, so just switching to another system isn’t feasible. Essentially, I want Sonos to do it all, with a greater emphasis on sound/passthrough signal from a turntable.
Hello,Suggestion: replace volume sliders with something that allows me to set a specific level for each device. Being mildly affected with OCD, not being able to set it to exactly "25" is frustrating.Thank you for your time...
I originally subscribed to Sonos HD Radio through Apple, then cancelled in 2023. I want to reactivate my subscription, however the Sonos site says I have a subscription with Apple and to go through the Apple subscription app to cancel, however Apple doesn’t show that subscription (assume because it’s so old). Any way to get around this without having to call sales Mon - Friday?
There’s been no communication from Sonos since the email was sent with this article: https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/the-new-sonos-app-and-future-feature-updates. This timeline is nearly up and I can’t tell that anything has improved. What’s going on and what is the new timeline for any of these fixes? I just spent nearly 3 hours getting one of my speakers added back to my system because it just disappeared. I also had to hard-wire it to my network so I currently have cables strewn about on the floor. There are still issues with speakers dropping out, not being able to easily adopt speakers, struggles playing music from many sources (including local SMB), often unable to browse streaming sources, many features we used to have still gone, sources such as “Line In” and “TV” disappearing. Surely, I’m not the only person still having all these issues. Is this just the Sonos experience moving forward?
I would like a function to create alarm groups that I can use only for the alarms. In the morning when the alarm goes off, I would like to play the radio for a group of speakers where we are in the morning. But in the evening when I turn on my TV (that is one of the speakers in the morning), I don't want the TV sound to be in all rooms.I don't want to turn off the group every evening when we are going to watch TV and then turn the group back on when we go to bed so that the alarm works again in the morning.
