I'm accustomed to software glitches here and there, but this app has to be the biggest POS I've ever experienced!   The fact it has been months now with the same issues not being resolved is pathetic.   I might as well have bricks sitting on shelves and mounted to walls.  Nothing like having $4k of really good speakers and not being able to use them frequently.   I go out of my way to tell people that don't currently have Sonos products DO NOT BUY!!!

Honestly worst iOS app I’ve used ever. It’s getting better, but holy crap it’s taking forever for their “hundreds of engineers” to fix this.

PLEASE Sonos. The Sonos app used to be the magic aggregator that made audio streaming great. Right now the whole experience is just torture. Nothing about the new app DESIGN was an improvement, but that’s assuming it worked in the first place (which it doesn’t). Please open source the old app OR allow a third party build an alternative - and save my Sonos hardware. I’m so disappointed. I used to love my Sonos system.

Leaving aside the UI design, which is often perceived as an individual preference, there are many different third party apps out there already, depending on what platform you’re running on. One of the coder/sellers is even a frequent and valued contributor here, it wouldn’t surprise me if others keep their eyes on the pulse in the various forums, which are not all English based.

All that being said, I’ve not had any substantial issues running S2 version 80.x on my 20 plus speakers, but I have a fairly clean network that they are connected to. Perhaps if you were to open a new thread, explaining in particular your setup, and what challenges you’re facing, this community might be able to help. Or you could call Sonos Support directly to discuss your concerns, and they might be able to address those issues.
