Taking Sonos to Small Claims Court - New App

I don’t need to repeat the problems around the app. Suffice to say that the app updates have rendered the usefulness of my Sonos equipment down to less than zero. I don’t ever know if it’s going to work or not these days. Imagine planning a Christmas party under those conditions!

I’ve seen various threads here talking about legal action and and class action, etc. Has anything come of them? I can’t see any obvious outcomes.

If not - I’m considering taking them to the Small Claims Court in the UK just to get my money back on the equipment. I’m absolutely fed up with it. Has anyone succeeded? The process in the UK is pretty simple and I’ve been successful in the past.

I understand Sonos can do pretty what they want with their app, but if that results in damage or the - effective - bricking of equipment that’s within its reasonable lifespan, then that is on them.

Cheers

Read the user agreement first.

It wouldn't be fun to end up with the judge awarding Sonos costs and expenses because you had a previous contract that you violated.

Sonos programmers may be weak tea but their legal team appears to be excellent.
