We have the amp, wall speakers and ceiling speakers and Sonos 1,3&5.

we turn it on and most times it hooks up and we can use it.

big problem when we come to switch off.It never connects.

we try to disconnect WiFi to no avail. It stays on all the time we are out of the house and sometimes 24/7.

will Sonos ever sort out the problems?

SONOS is designed to be powered and using WiFi 24/7. When you stop the music, the units go into a standby mode. This will minimize power use, but the WiFi is still active. If the WiFi was turned OFF you could not restart music using your phone or computer.

Hi

the WiFi remains on 24/7 unless a rare power failure occurs.

Here we are again today had the system running for 4 hours however it will now not connect to allow us to stop.

No interruptions to WiFi.

We have switched the WiFi on and off in attempt to reconnect, which sometimes works shower not today.

now been trying to stop Elaine Page on Radio 2 for 25 minutes 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

This issue happens pretty much every time we use our system, which is every day.

But of a misunderstanding here, I think. Where you say “turn off” you mean “stop the music”?
