I just bought an Arc and 2 Era300’s for the basement and a Beam and 2 Era 100’s for the living room. 2 questions:

1- Who engineered the Sonos App? What a piece of s***.

2- The Era’s in both rooms cut out for like 0.25 seconds every 15 seconds or so. Why?

3- A third question just popped into my head? My are people so impressed with this garbage?

  1. While the new app may be a challenge for some, I like the new layout. I use it for music services and my local library. it works well for me in my home.
  2. I do not have Era 300s, but I do have Era100s as surrounds in my living room with an Arc and Sub. I have never heard them cut out, and I have never seen them disconnect from the Arc. When this happens, its usually a sign that you may have an issues with your WIFI. It could be because of interference, VPN being enabled, Extendersbeing uses, Powerline adapters..etc..etc. So check your WIFI/network settings.
  3. If you feel that Sonos is garbage, why stay with the brand? I have 11 Sonos devices in my home from various years that work flawlessly. While Sonos my not be true high end audio equipment, the sound the speakers create is good enough for my needs. As a plus.. it is also wife approved.

Other than the resolved (VERY frustrating) issue with Amazon Music, the app has worked great. I’ve added 5 speakers/devices, all on the first attempt.

The sonos app and reliability of their service became garbage. There is hardly an excuse for this for the money. Should have been immediately rolled back. Why staying with the brand then: well i will not, but simple reason to hanging and suffering around is the price of changing the whole system built in 10 years.
