You guys gonna start a subscription service? I was just thinking of how you guys could be worse of a company than you've already declined. Also, let me be clear: I have no anger towards the staff, or customer support, I am aggravated by the direction whoever has made decisions in the future of your apps which are so frustrating to deal with.
They already have a subscription service, with a paid tier and a free tier, called Sonos Radio (HD), as far as I’m aware. Or were you talking about something else?
Sonos has repeatedly denied, both here and in the press, that they are transitioning to a subscription model. So stop with the silly FUD.

A report which was met with firm denial by Sonos (exactly as I stated), documented in the very article you linked to:
Sonos users worried about such a drastic change to the user experience (and any potential additional cost) may find solace in the fact that Sonos has sent WIRED a firm denial that a subscription model is in the works.

Yes they all deny it (until they don’t). Can’t trust Sonos anyways with how they misrepresented the new app.
Rumors serve no purpose, people believe in them even when presented with proof. The world is flat, for instance. Sonos’ next big thing is a toaster. Even if these are denied, much like your example, some people will believe.

Except it’s the people saying this has no merit who sound like flat earthers

Yes, because Sonos has earned so much goodwill with the public, that they think they will benefit from lying to them in the press and on their own public forum about switching to a subscription model nobody wants. Put the tinfoil hat away and just listen to yourself.
