Have a chat with other Sonos owners. What's going on in the world of music and technology? What's playing?

It’s been over a year and their crappy app still doesn’t work properly. Additionally, the Sonos Ace auto-off feature only works if you disconnect the Bluetooth device, which renders the feature pointless. Is it really auto-off if you have to manually turn off Bluetooth?I think I won’t be buying nor recommending any more Sonos products. At least not until they get their stuff together.
this is ridiculous!I’m 63 years old and I’ve already spent way way way too much time trying to figure out how to play a song my wife wrote for me for my birthday. I spent all this money to play my music and again I’m spending way too much time trying to figure out how to f**** do it! The only way I’m finding is to use a DIFFERENT app or I can only listen to it on the Bluetooth side of my Move??? UNACCEPTABLE and yes, I’m pissed. Using LG tv with attached beam 2. Cannot keep the app connected to the system.
After many attempts to update the latest software mid January. I have noticed to difference to the operation of the new app. It seems more problematic now as I am unable to separate grouped speakers. When playing through Spotify it can take 5 - 10 minutes on a good day for music to start and skipping songs on a playlist is hit and miss ?I'm sure you have heard this before, "If its not broke don't fix it". Hello, As President Donald Trump threatens invading Canada - should I continue to build my Sonos System? Will there be increases in prices - should I support any American company? If we go to war Sonos will clearly drop their Canadian customers. What is SONOS going to do? What will Canadians do with their Sonos products?
New IOS update 80.16.32- and still the queue needs work. No Save option, no way to easily scroll down the queue, queue does not follow music progress ( basics ) and still no local library album art displayed in the queue. It’s been way too long for this not to be fixed.
Don’t make the same mistake as me or at least be warned and know what to expect before you go through the Sonos Warranty Return process.BackgroundI confirmed via Sonos support that one of my Arcs was defective. I bought (from new), 2 Arcs, 2 Sub gen 3, 3 era 300’s and 4 Era 100s. I also own a Roam. I would say therefore I am a “good customer”.Sonos support confirmed via online chat that I should return my defective Arc and they would provide a replacement (this was after submitting diagnostics etc etc). They sent me shipping labels for UPS and I executed dispatch on the same day January 3rd 2025 by UPS. It all sounded so simple and efficient - just what you would expect from a “premium brand”. I even called my retailer and told them that I wouldn't bring it back to them after all as Sonos will take care of it. My wife and I were delighted with the apparent simplicity and convenience. This is where the simplicity ended and I made the mistake of not doing my research and trusting in “Sono
So I've finally had enough of the Sonos eco system. It's just not reliable enough and more often frustrating trying to get it to work than I actually spend listening to music on them. What have other people looked at? I've got 2 x Sonos one speakers in the bedroom,1 x Sonos one speaker in the kitchen,1 x Sonos connect in my living room connected to an amp and some floor standing speakers.1 x Sonos portable in my ensuite I'm thinking of forgoing the kitchen speaker as it doesn't get used often, buying a Cambridge audio network streamer for my living room and getting KEF LS speakers for my bedroom
This new update works!! My system is now responsive to radio channel changes and volume settings. Fantastic to have it back. Happy days 😊
Is it true that Sonos doesn’t provide a way for a friend visiting to connect to Sonos via a simple Bluetooth and play their own music? It’s about quick convenience.
Nothing works sonos is s*** created by w*****s so f*** off Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
Insofar as ways to move forward, might we be able to get a little team of lawyers together to pressure the board to respond to our concerns?
Just thought i would share to the community how well a Sonos Roam provides a resting place and entertainment for a Robin
I continue to try to be patient, because, when they actually work, my speakers sound amazing. But good grief, Sonos! I feel like my kid could run this company better. On going issues:Despite the email advertising lossless streaming directly to my speakers, when I actually try to stream to my speakers … no sound. My Apple Music ap says it is playing, but no. Nothing. The only way to listen is by using the crappy Sonos ap. On the crappy Sonos Ap, there are four basic flaws that simply mystify me: How hard it is to search. Besides the odd placement of the search bar on the landing page, after you do select a song, why the hell isn’t there a search icon on the new page! Why do you make us back out to the landing page to search? When we tap on the “three dot circle”, why the hell isn’t there options to go to the artist and the album RIGHT THERE. It is so damn hard to get to an album. Why oh why, in this day and age of technology, can’t we just tap on the image of the album and GO TO THE
This is how companies die. As they are trying to right the ship, they cut back on “unnecessary expenses” -- like good customer service. Which -- we’ve all seen this movie before, right? Angers the customers further, and sinks the ship even faster. Today, I called Sonos support on the phone. The automated system told me it’d be a 10 minute wait.I hung up after 30 minutes. The ENTIRE TIME I was on hold, there was awful hold music. The same “song” for the entire half hour, constantly interrupted by a computer telling me to go online or use the app to fix my problems. At no time was my estimated wait time updated. At no time was I given the opportunity to hang up, saving my spot in the queue, for a call back. Which is an extremely common technology at this point. Hung up, having wasted 30 minutes of time, and am no closer to fixing my issue.
I’m incredibly disappointed and frustrated with how Sonos has completely ruined what used to be a great product experience. Despite the constant reassurances that things would improve, it’s just not working. I recently spent another $3,000 on Sonos speakers, and I deeply regret it. The app is constantly crashing, forcing me to update back and forth, and even then, nothing works properly. When I travel between my homes, the system simply doesn’t function as expected, which is incredibly frustrating. I wanted to relax, and now, instead of music playing seamlessly, my phone shows it’s playing on the Move, but the sound is coming from my iPad. This is beyond unacceptable. The CEO of Sonos should resign immediately, and honestly, Apple should buy the company and fix it. Sonos used to be an amazing product, but now, despite all the promises, the software is trash, and nothing works. Starting with the decision to make things not backwards compatible, it has been a disaster ever since. Please

Why does Sonos make it so difficult to report bugs? It is extremely convoluted involving Chatbots and Phonecalls which always want to ask the most ridiculous questions when all you want to do is alert Sonos of an issue. Surely they can set up a simple bug reporting service similar to Google or Apple?
There are a ton of duplicate stations via these services. I’ve noticed when searching for something like KEXP or BBC, they pop up in multiple services.Do you like 1 vs the other? Is there any info on the bitrates of these feeds (does one stream higher quality than the other?) I’ve noticed TuneIn has a lot of commercials on their own TuneIn-branded feeds…
Please correct me if this is already a function I’m unaware of, but it would rock if SONOS added the option to “play after last add” (when adding songs to existing queue). We can “play next” or “add to end of queue” but I find that most of the time I or someone else listening wants to hear specific songs in a row in the middle of an existing queue instead of having to choose each song to “play next” trying to catch the song as it ends or “add to end of queue” only, mainly to keep the queue as a whole intact and so you don’t have to babysit the queue as much while trying to enjoy your music.
This is the worst service and UX app in history. Nothing works…
When trying to add a track to a Spotify playlist, the Sonos app shows lists that other people created. I added them to my Spotify playlists, but I can't edit them. It would be great if these "locked" lists didn't show up during the Add To Playlist dialogue. (They don't show in the native Spotify dialogue.)
If logged in, always get “there was an error adding the item to your cart”. If I log out, it works no problem. So I added things to my cart, went to checkout and then logged in - which emptied my cart. Just me?
Does anyone know how to send a feature request to Sonos? We have devices throughout the house and it would be awesome to be able to listen to the Nintendo music app everywhere! It’s not listed as an option in the content services though.
