Can anyone tell me if SONOS has a service facility in Australia?
As the problems continue with the app/controller, some of which are new little frustration surprises, I wonder if Sonos has given up on trying resolve what is possible one of the worst products around. Certainly that would seem to the case with the community reports. But yet no improvement still. Since that last notable version change mid 2024, I don’t ever open Sonos without there being a problem. Please do try Patrick…
I used to love Sonos. Worked right out of the box. Responsive app. Good enough sound quality. Now EVERYTHING is broken.App takes forever to load. On a good day I can play music on 50% of the speakers of my system. On a bad day 0%.PLEASE: there is nothing wrong with my WiFi. And, yes, I have reinstalled the system. I cannot recommend Sonos to my worst enemy. It would constitute cruel and unusual punishment.
Hello. I am hoping this feature suggestion can be passed along to the appropriate team. I currently use a Sonos Amp in each room of my home. In each room the setup consists of:(1) device with a voice assistant (i.e. Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri, or Google Home) which is plugged into the RCA Line-In input of the Sonos Amp (1) TV which is plugged into the HDMI input of the Sonos AmpI would imagine this is a fairly common setup. The problem is that there is no way to interact with the Voice assistant, i.e. to ask the time or the weather, while the the TV is on or while the Sonos is playing an internet source such as Apple Music. Currently the Sonos Amp has the Autoplay feature but this is not ideal for voice assistants because it requires the Amp to switch back and forth between audio sources. Therefore the feature I am proposing would be as follows:Add a setting within the Sonos mobile app so that the User can choose the option to mix audio sources together. The user should be able to togg
Have all the software problems been fixed to an acceptable level ? I feel like downgrading back to S1 until things are sorted. But I did see somewhere that if you do this you cannot then upgrade back to latest software at a later date. Is this true ?
Unable to login to Sonos app account on Xiaomi 14 Ultra.Tried ALL workarounds but sign in just logs into a website, but not the app.Sign in screen just go round in circles.Cannot manage system because of this.
Seems like the outgoing CEO was rewarded for the huge app debacle. If Sonos wanted to promote goodwill in the user community they would have fired him several months ago.
I purchased a record player just before Christmas. It is the first product I’ve purchased from Sonos that I was unsatisfied with. I currently have about 20 speakers throughout the house and absolutely love the ecosystem. I have been trying to return this project 1 player for no less than 12 days. 12 days calling being told it will take 24-48 hours. At this point it’s almost comical. By far the worst customer service experience of my life. I will be purchasing from other stores in the future instead of Sonos direct. Absolute joke and still no help. 12 days and counting. Eventually the 30 day return period will be over. Can’t wait for that battle.
Hello Sonos Team,I've been using your products for years: a Playbar, Sub, several Play 1s, and a Play 5. For a long time, I was satisfied with the system—it gave me years of enjoyment. But over the past year, the experience has gone downhill, fast.I’ve gotten used to the fact that every so-called "update" to the Sonos app seems to make things worse. For example, about six months ago, the alarm clock feature vanished from the app. No warning, no notification—I had to find out on your help page that it was removed. The explanation? "We're working hard to bring this feature back." Well, it’s still not back. The workaround was to use the desktop app to set alarms, which is hardly a premium solution.Controlling music through the app became so frustrating that I started using Spotify Connect instead. But now even that doesn’t work! My speakers aren’t discoverable—neither through your app, nor Spotify, nor my computer. It’s beyond frustrating. How is it possible for such basic functionality t
What are everyone’s thoughts on this? I believe it is a good decision that will help regain the trust of current and potential users.https://www.theverge.com/2025/1/13/24342179/sonos-ceo-patrick-spence-resignation-reason-app
Patrick toast and it’s about time
I ordered an Arc Ultra before Christmas 2024. It is now mid-January 2025, and I have not received my order or a viable status update. After three weeks the status still reads “Awaiting Carrier Pick-up”. I called customer services, and they told me they needed to launch an investigation which is frustrating. Clearly the item has not shipped. So, they are making me wait to get what I paid for while Sonos figures out what happened? Make this right Sonos. Your equipment is too expensive to make valued customers wait while you figure out how the order was botched. PLEASE FIX THIS.Let me be clear, customer service is obviously provided by offshore personnel, but she was friendly and tried to be helpful. I asked to speak with a supervisor and after a brief hold was told a supervisor was not available to speak with me. Again, I ask, why do I have to wat for an investigation of a paid order that never shipped?
DECEMBER 2024: AMAZON MUSIC NOT STABLE ON SONOS S2 App/System. Amazon Music SKIPS, STOPS PLAYING AND SKIPS TO NEW SONG IN THE MIDDLE OF A SONG when playing on the Sonos App. à So, I have had issues with Amazon Music playing on my Sonos system for about 2 months now. While streaming Amazon Music thru my Sonos App à All my speakers cut in and out (stop playing), and switch songs in the middle of a song. I’ve tried everything known to man to correct this including everything the Sonos community has recommended. So last week, I gave in and called Sonos Support and after waiting 45 minutes to talk to someone, lucked out and got a nice and intelligent Support Agent. We worked together on all aspects of the system and ended up: 1. Removing my Sonos Boost (found out that I don’t need it anymore), 2. Moving one of my newer SonosOne Speakers next to my Wireless Router (wiring it directly into the router). This newer SonosOne speaker (wired into my router) now serves as the main control
Ever since I downloaded the new Sonos app, the whole system is practically useless. The music stops playing randomly and you have to turn it off and re-open the app and push play again… only to find in about five minutes the whole thing shut down again. What’s the problem Sonos? This shouldn’t be difficult. I’m at the point where I simply need to get rid of the system and start with another one.
Just contacted Sonos and got this reply. Is 7 days an acceptable amount of time to receive a reply from customer service? This is ridiculous. Don’t title you’re email, “We’re here for you,” when you’re clearly not.
6 speakers. Sonos app won’t connect to my music library. Speakers won’t stay labeled and sometimes music bounces from one speaker to another. I called support on 12/30/24 and was told I would be contacted for an appointment with tech support. No contact yet. Since that date I have chatted and phoned Sonos several times but no one will help because the case is escalated and yet I have no solution or contact from them. I have also contacted the NY Times regarding their review of Sonos speakers from 2023. I think they should publish all the problems that are occurring since the “update” of May 2024.
Hello. As described here:and here:I faced troubles since last year to make use of my local library stored on an external drive connected to my Mac OS Mojave iTunes (not Apple Music) server. I followed all available hints to no avail. Sonos S2 stopped indexing my local library although the external drive was configured as “NAS” or “networked drive”. The indexing progress stopped after 20 up to 40 minutes moaning about the drive “not being available anymore” - although exactly this volume still was available to my complete home network.I followed many hints stored in this community and also external hints, had a very long and very useless phone call to Sonos and ended up with mail support only providing the same help documents that also were stored in here but were not of any use. The Sonos support was a complete waste of time.Nevertheless I found some sort of solution myself. Using an old QNAP NAS (and several other configurations and devices...) gave me a the hint for a possible (and me
Sonos Build 80.14.06-release-20241206.affe3deGroups should allow for preset volumes. It is cumbersome to adjust the volume for individual rooms when selecting a group.
My set up is an arc, sub mini and era 300 as surrounds, plus a play one in two other rooms. I think k it would be good to be able to use the era300 as Bluetooth receivers even if in surround mode. I have no way to play from my record player in the living room but the room is full of Sonos speakers! Could the surrounds not receive a Bluetooth signal and distribute it to the other speakers on the network. They could continue to work as surrounds just a suggestion
For those interested in classical and jazz music I would recommend a free trial to the Presto Music streaming app currently £10.99 a month. Their extensive database is professionally organised and can be air-played to Sonos devices via a superior iPhone or tablet interface. Many of their streams are available in hi res. for those with other high end equipment.
I’ve got $3600 worth of Sonos speakers and I can’t freaking them half the time without a bunch of bull****. And when you call, they don’t give a s***. We should all have a class action lawsuit against their ass because this is tired, bulls***Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
Both my speakers didnt work correctly. I called Sonos because I thought having 2 speakers out it probabvly was the amp. I worked MANY hours, doing diagnostics, etc and in the end I was told I needed a new amp. Sonos gave me a 30% off code to use. After sending my old amp back & receiving my new amp my system still didnt work? I called out Best Buy & they diagnosed I need new speakers. I called Sonos back to get my money back for the new amp i didnt need. I also asked if I cud get my old amp back. Cant get it back. I went thru 4 ppl and in the end they say they realize it was Sonos’ fault, but they cant give me my $500 back. Really? Even after admitting it was Sonos’s fault????Id like to know if other customers had a similar experience. Sonos admitted they were wrong and shud have gave me my $500 back and retrained their customer support personnel to diagnose more thouroughly. Now I am EXTREAMELY pist off and have wasted a LOT of time !!!I use to talk highly about Sonos
Hi when I edit my email address and hit save the changes don’t save. Can anyone offer any advice?
I am worn out from 7 months of my sonos system not working. I own 8 speakers and have decided to try sell them and use another system for wireless music in my home. Any ideas? Hate to trash them but…Stephen
I bought 3 speakers back in 2015, then the ray about a year ago. I'm currently fighting through your company’s bulls*** to downgrade to the s1 controller but have discovered the ray doesn't work with it. Your app is awful, I has zero issues 5-6 years ago. I'm never buying another product from you guys again and will wholeheartedly not recommend your product anywhere and discourage everyone from ever purchasing it. I hope your company goes under. What a damn shame. Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
