Adding to Spotify playlists

When trying to add a track to a Spotify playlist, the Sonos app shows lists that other people created. I added them to my Spotify playlists, but I can't edit them. It would be great if these "locked" lists didn't show up during the Add To Playlist dialogue. (They don't show in the native Spotify dialogue.)

Hi @rweiner,

I also don’t see the option to add playlists created by other users to my own playlist in the Spotify app, but what is presented on the Spotify integration on the Sonos app is handled by Spotify themselves, so you’ll want to reach out to them directly to request any changes to what shows in the Sonos app.

I’m just guessing that Spotify is exposing that data to Sonos, since Sonos can tell which playlists are editable and which aren’t. But I’ll try contacting Spotify as well.

Thanks, Jamie. I did reach out to Spotify. We’ll see…

As far as adding other people’s playlists to your own collection, I see that option in the 3-dot menu to the right of the Play button.

I recently switched from Spotify to Apple Music and used a tool called TracklistPro. It worked great for me!. It is a simple and efficient tool that lets you transfer playlists effortlessly between Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and more, ensuring your music stays intact without the hassle of rebuilding from scratch.
