Hello @chomskyknows, welcome back!
Is there any info on the bitrates of these feeds (does one stream higher quality than the other?)
I was not able to find any specific numbers in regards to the bitrates. I imagine it would vary between the radio stations.
With my response your thread moved to the top of the latest activity list - maybe other users of our Community would like to add their input when it comes to which one, myTunerRadio or TuneIn, they prefer to use.
I hope this helps.
I was a great fan for tunein (i’ve been an early adopter of the pro version) but with the time passing I think the service became worst and worst.
Now I’m testing mytuner wich seems better service for some radios I’m used to listen.
other thing are the integrations on sonos system. the “services” both sucks
but I think on this is sonos to blame
or BBC, they pop up in multiple services.
If you listen to BBC stations, I would suggest the Sonos BBC Sounds music service, as you will get access to far more content than the 3rd party radio apps. eg in the native BBC Sounds App, you can add content to ‘My Sounds’ and have ‘My Sounds’ as a pinned collection on the home screen of the Sonos App for easy access, add your most listened to stations as Sonos favourites in Sonos App, etc

I would assume the bit rate using the BBC service will be the best available for that specific stream and device.

Appreciate the comment. I’m in the US. BBC doesn’t show up in the Sonos “content services” area. I don’t see another way to add it. Your URL says UK only near the bottom.
