Talk Sonos Products

I’m moving into a new home and looking for advice on multiple sonos products before buying.  Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!Primary listening room is an open concept living/dining/kitchen area (~35’x35’ with 20’ ceilings).  65” LG TV with E-Arc connection wall mounted.  Was considering the Arc speaker connected to this TV with E-Arc cable and supported by the Sonos sub.  I have a hard line ethernet cable run to this wall from the office if you suggesting plugging it into the Arc sound bar.  Rear surrounds would sit much further back in the room and likely higher on some cabinets.  Debating between Era 300s and Fives for the rears.  This primary room will be for TV watching, movies, and streaming music.  I’d like this room to be hands free and voice controlled completely if possible.  I’ve had high end setups in the past but i’m trying to simplify this time.  Focusing more on voice control with no remotes or phones needed.I’m considering an Era 100 in the master bedroom,

Hello! If i pair my Sonos Arc with a One, will the sound still be in dolby atmos (Apple music) in the Arc or not? Thanks in advance for your answers and sorry for my bad english...

Does anyone know which is the best Sonos product to use to connect my Arcam Solo CD Player up to with reasonable ease?Would it be a Port? If so what are the best connections?

I recently purchased a second Sonos 100. When I had one, everything worked fine. Now that I have two, the system is very unstable, needs resetting daily, the reset process is inconsistent and the outcome is variable. The best I can hope for is that I can push directly from Apple Music, but often the two speakers aren’t listed as an option. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, created a new user account, done multiple factory resets. Nothing seems to work. Any stable solutions? I also read on here that you can’t actually set two Sonos products as an integrated system, you need a minimum of three. Is this true? All in all, very disappointing as the sound quality is good but only then the system periodically decides to work.    

So I’ve had this very odd problem for a while now where I can’t get DTS-HD 5.1 to work on my beam gen 2. I’m aware that sonos products doesn't support DTS-HD or DTS-X, but as I understand it when playing a blu-ray with dts-hd 5.1 for example the speaker should output it as PCM 5.1. Here’s the thing tho, I have discs supporting everything from mono dts-hd to dts-x and and they all work perfectly except for 5.1 specifically.If I’m lucky I’ll get functioning sound with the occasional clipping, but most of the time there’s just no sound at all. Again, DTS-HD 5.1 is the only file that doesn't work.For reference I’m playing the discs on a Sony x800m2 and passing the audio through an LG CX to the Beam gen2.Good day

I finally got around to looking into how to get my personal music library set up with a NAS.  I see many posts from 2 months ago.  What is the latest?  I need to purchase a NAS - what to get?  2 months ago people were using SonoPhone for Sonos and could not go back to the original app Sonos S1 Controller.  Catch me up please.  I welcome your advise and tips.Thank you.

I was just wondering if (when streaming music through spotify on sonos), the spotify statistics are recorded. For example, if they contribute to spotify wrapped and if they contribute music recommendations. The reason I’m asking is because i listen to A LOT of music and find a good majority of it through my spotify recommendations but i feel like it’s been off lately which is probably because i play music 90% of the time through sonos.I should also mention that i play music through the spotify app and just uses the speaker as the device.It sounds dramatic but it’s honestly a deal breaker for me.Oh similarly, does anyone know the answer to this question but for amazon speakers (like an amazon dot)

Hey there,i could not find an answer to this yet, so i thought i might try it up here.Is there any way to restict my sonos port to only play analog-input?We’re using it at our bar and we dont want our sonos to accidentally play a stream because of copyright problems.

In an ideal way I was looking too play audio through a pair of Sonos era300’s or fives from my Samsung series 7 tv. But it dosnt seem that easy. I’ve looked at an Arc and mini sub but I’ve been told it’s a good set up for theater tv but not brilliant for streaming music.I’m also looking to stream from my Mac or iPhone to the tv and audio out of era300’s or fives. Open to suggestions. thanks

My husbands app on his iPhone is not finding our two Sonos speakers but they work fine on my phone. How do I get him connected?

I have a Pro Ject Debut Carbon EVO TT connected to the phono RCA on a Marantz PM7000n amp. I have a Marantz CD6007 connected to the CD RCA on the amp. I have a Sonos Port connected to the amp via the recorder out RCA to connect to my era 300’s in stereo mode. Both TT, CD player and network radio all play music to my connected Sonos ERA 300’s. The issue I have is that every time I turn a record over or just lift the stylus from the record the Amp disappears from the ‘line in’ as a source in my Sonos S2 app. It states ‘source unknown’. The issue doesn’t happen if I change a CD.  I then have a nightmare waiting for the Port to display again in the app so I can select it as the line source. It just steps unknown until I close and open  the app a few times. It’s a right pain!! The port is set to source level 2 (AV component), line out is set to fixed and audio delay is set to 2000 ms. I’ve tried every setting in the app for the port to stop it dropping out from my app. Does anyone have any

Hello, I’ve been a loyal Sonos user since 2013, and have several products in my home:  Play:1, Play:3, Era 100, One SL, Move & MoveI rely heavily on the feature in the iOS app that allows me to disable the touch controls on each speaker, my kids each have one in their room for audiobooks, and we turn it off when they ought to be in bed / doing homework, etc. but in the new iOS app that feature is gone on all but the One SL!Now to ensure they’re not used, I need to physical unplug the speakers and remove them from the room, a big hassle!I have a few other minor complains about the new app: it’s more work to get to an overview where I can see what’s playing in all the rooms; and I’ve experienced several instances where speakers vanish/reappear, or don’t play when I try to start music.Would love to be able to roll back to an old version until these issues are addressed!

I have the latest app update on iOS. Fortunately I can set and edit alarms again now. However, the app is still not functioning properly in this respect: ever since I updated to the redesigned app some weeks ago, which was missing alarm functionality entirely, my phone kept giving me notifications about alarms going of at the times alarms were set prior to the app update. Even though I had since edited the alarm times via the Mac app, I kept getting notifications on my phone at the old set times. Even with the last update, which allows me to see and edit the alarm times again, I keep getting notifications at the old alarm times. Please fix that.

Hi. Is there a reason why I am not able to add any of the Jazz Groove stations into my favorites? They offer five stations. When I try to add any of them to my favorite from in the music service view it keeps saying to try again but no reason is shown why. Then in playing mode, in the lower right corner, the three dots, when I press that, adding as a favorite is not an option.  Thanks.

Starting from scratch.  What should i purchase to replace a 7.2 design with a Denon receiver with a Sony 65 led 

They are starting to block streaming services like Pandora and Sirius XM unless you update the app. Can't even remove and re-add the services unless you update.

 We have just bought a new Samsung S92C OLED TV and have spent all weekend trying to get it to connect to the Sonos Beam. I have now read (and tried) the recommendations here of unplugging everything, turning off modem etc and nothing has helped.I wish I had known before this would be such an issue as wanted to add other sonos products to create a home theatre.Has anyone been able to resolve this issue please 🙏 or have any other advice?

There is an existing topic (6 years old), tagged as “Answered” but it has not been answered! If Sonos is waiting for technical proposals/advice/solution to start developing this feature, here is my 2 cents that Sonos can either: Enable Sonos speakers to be members of different groups, as well as surround group simultaneously.  Make Surround group speakers available to be chosen individually as the streaming speakers (e.g. Airplay) Worst case: add a feature to SONOS app to be able to create different templates/profiles/configs and switch between them. Or at least add a feature to Surround group to be able to adjust volume for each individual speakers and of course a “Reset” button to put it back to what SONOS app thinks is the best setting.  Similar to all other scenarios in the link above, I can only stream music to ALL speakers in Surround group or NONE. The pity is, if I am streaming music lets say only from my iPhone, I do not want the ARC to have the same volume as the Era 300s! I
