Please if u have some issues u don’t see in my post, add them with bulletins, so there is a comperehensive lists for other users or the SONOS itself. Device: iPhone 14 Pro Max - iOS 17.4.11.) If u’re trying to TruePlay ERA’s 300 in the NEW APP (80.00.04), and microphones are disabled on the ERA’s themselves, then the TruePlay process fails. This is due to disabled microphones. If i tried it in the OLD APP (16.1), there was a step/prompt that warned me exactly about the microphones e.g. that they need to be enabled, so the TruePlay could run successfully. This prompt is missing in the NEW APP (80.00.04). So if u’re having TruePlay issues, try to enable microphones.2.) If u’re having issues with TruePlay not starting after tapping/hitting “Continue” button in the NEW APP (80.00.04), reboot your phone and it should work.3.) If u’re experiencing some other issues in the NEW APP (80.00.04), they might be mitigated by going to “Account” / “App Preferences” / “Reset App” which will logout you
I've noticed a bug with the new app in combination with my Roam SL. On the album page of my streaming service (Deezer in my case), when I hit the play button, in some cases, it will start playing the music in the queue, instead of the album. If I press the play button again, it might start the correct album. I haven't noticed this with any of my other Sonos products.Added a screenshot to illustrate what button I'm talking about. Circled in red.Hypothesis: the button calls on two functions. First replace the queue, second start playing the queue. When the first operation fails, the second is still called.
Everytime I open the new Sonos app on my iphone, it asks me to turn on bluetooth. Is there anyway to supress this pop up? I only turn on bluetooth when needed.
Hi,I'm building a new house and debating which way to go for the master bedroom. Option 1: two 6in Sonos architectural speakers in-ceiling on the two side of the bed. This will be a very clean look, since the speakers won't be visible. However, it will cost around $1250 for speakers and amp, plus wiring costs. Since this is a new construction, I can do the wiring without any issues. Assume I would get nice immersive audio with proper stereo affect when I'm in the bed. Options 2: one Era 300 on the side table towards the right of the bed at the wall. This will be a very cheap option, with Era 300 refurbished units going for less then $400. It won't be a bad look as well, since I have a side table where this can go. However, I wonder if this will not be very immersive, as you would hear music coming from one side when you are on the bed. Options 3: have two Era 300s on stands at the opposite wall from where the bed is. I feel this will give an immersive experience. It will cost much l
When will the ability to downgrade software be restored to the S1 app? I purchased a Move speaker in May because it was supposed to be compatible with the S1 app and my older Sonos speakers, but in order to make it compatible, it needs a software downgrade. The latest version of S1 removed this feature. When will the app be updated to have that feature restored? Thank you.
I have a Sonos Roam, I recently was listening to radio through it, now I want to switch back to Line In, but can’t figure out how. Advice, please.
It is not a question its like feature request or may be somebody could suggest the workaroundThe problem is I have to change EQ settings at least two times per day. During the day I want to get the best sound experience (set up default EQ settings). At the evening I have to reduce bass to not disturbe my neighbours, even when I watch TV and sounds not so loud. EQ settings is not easy to get. I have to go deep into the app settings to change the EQ settings. It would be cool to have EQ profiles or at least quick access to EQ settings
I have a hidden network at the Clients Property and all fixed devices, Ipads, Apple TV’s, Printers, Tv’s, Chromecast, Bose Speakers etc and are all authorise by the Mac Address added to the systemI connected to a network with a different SSID and Password so I could get it’s mac address as there is nothing on the Unit. Once setup I then added the MAC to the system and factory reset the Move 2Went through the setup and it connected, but after that it never connects again and not seen on the ipad it was setup up with and on the same hidden networkAny ideas? Is it because it hidden? Works on any other device added over the last 2 years fineThanksGraham
I’ve owned Sonos speakers for 12 years - and I use them for hours - every day - 365 days per year. I also own a software company - and I’ve been running software teams for 30 years. If somebody put this bad example of a beta app in front of me and said it was ready for prime time – after 30 minutes of playing with it and being constantly frustrated I would’ve fired them on the spot - are you guys serious? All of these broken or missing features are really, really important. And your answer to why they’ve been changed or dropped can’t be “just open the desktop app”. I’ve used the desktop app maybe half a dozen times in my life – what are you thinking? Especially when you FORCE your users to set up your system and add or remove any hardware from a mobile device? Not to mention, in the half a dozen or so phone calls I’ve had with your support team over the years, nobody has ever asked me to “just open the desktop app” on my computer. Come on guys, are you for real? First, what’s happene
I’ve generally been very complimentary of Sonos and the Eco System. Have been responsible for dozen of sales to people who have see the system operating in my home But I gotta ask:“Am I the only one who thinks the new app absolutely sucks” There’s nothhing intuitive about it. All my album artwork has disappeared, none of my custom radio URLs work - I could go on an on but this is no upgrade. Could someone please advise:how to restore all my album artwork (which is still fine on the desktop controller) how to remove all my tune in radio stations (which are all now greyed out) so I can try to re-establish them. They all still work on the desktop controller. From where I sit, this new app sucks. If I bought the system like this I would have returned it.
I’m really frustrated with the Sonos 2 system. Since upgrading, it’s been nothing but trouble. Here are the main issues:1. It’s full of glitches and often stops playing music suddenly2. The volume controls adjust randomly, either blasting music too loud or dropping it to an inaudible level.3. It frequently loses WiFi connection, even though our internet is stable. It can rarely go from Spotify to Apple music, loses connections constantly actually just now as I am typing this. These problems have been driving my family crazy all summer. It’s not just an occasional issue; it happens all the time. We have nine Sonos speakers, and our whole system rarely works as it should now. It is shocking that SONOS has allowed this to happen.I recommended Sonos to a friend, and he’s having the same issues. It’s embarrassing and has made me look bad. I would NEVER recommend this product to ANYONE. STOP PUSHING YOUR SONOS HEADPHONES AND FIX THE APP THAT IS A COMPLETE DISASTER!
Want to share a workaround for accessing your Sonos Playlists on the new app. If you use the desktop app (I have MAC) you can mark you playlists add them to ‘Sonos Favorites’ and then they will show up on the new app under ‘Sonos Favorites’ | ‘Playlists’.If support sees this they should share it with all users. It solves my problem.
Yeah, I’m old enough to remember the debacle that was created when Coca Cola released “New Coke”! It was met with such fury and negative publicity - including in media - that Coca Cola was forced to take it off the market and revert back to (basically) the same old formula. Now, it seems like Sonos is trying to become more content based rather than product / systems based. Stick to what you know - hardware. Roll back to give us the product control that made the system great in the first place. Otherwise I’m looking elsewhere for my client’s needs. Unfortunately, I’m already invested in multiple Sonos systems in two separate locations, so I have to wait until you “fix” or roll back the app so I can enjoy my system(s) again…
Hi, since the new app update I have many disappointments, and one about the queue. Most of the controls for the queue are gone, as well as the add to queue from other music sources. I am hoping to see these options again some day.
I own Maxsystems. (A dealer) think we bye 20 to 30 thousand dollars a years in product. Look me up! This update is a client loser!! Why? Who’s sleeping with the young *********, who thinkings he/she knows everything?a big buyer…We do a lot of Crestron and Savant. You have Apple Music which we have pushed but the new update is so s****** that I’m no longer selling your product!!!no more amps which I sell 50 to 60 a year good luck loser. fyi fire whatever ***** you higher to build this app??? No!! Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
Is the Network Matrix nowadays deprecated (ipaddress:1400/support/review)?I was just curious about that interface and if I can somehow improve my network based on those readings. Reason:For the past few days, I’d been having issues with certain music services not showing up on this list for addition. So out of curiosity I looked at the Network Matrix and other info. I was running my 4 x Sonos One + Port in SonosNet and all where showing green. Yesterday I then switched to Wi-Fi setup and still all were green later. Music services were not showing on the list. This morning the missing music services came back to the list and was able to add Amazon Music. All has been working ok since. Out of curiosity I accessed the Network Matrix again but now it looks odd. There are no colors (just grey boxes), Noise floor is 0, 0, 0, 0 for all. The matrix also shows undefined entries. Those seem to be MAC addresses of the devices shifted slightly. E.g. the Sonos One 48:A6:B8:DC:85:17 shows also as u
I have a sonos beam 2 in the room and I bought a pair of era 100 for it, the problem is that I have the sonos beam 2 connected to the ethernet cable, but I don't know if I should also connect the era 100 by cable, in the room I have a repeater and it only works with 2.4 Ghz as technically it is another router than the one in the room, the sonos beam 2 is the only one I have inside this router, if I connect the 2 era 100 to that 2.4 Ghz network they do not connect through sonosnet so there is no problem with beam 2 being wired at era 100 via 2.4 Ghz wifi? I was considering upgrading to a mesh network from tp link the deco 6e but from what I see the sonos speakers don't work well with mesh networks so I reject the idea, but to tell the truth the reason I connected the beam 2 for ethernet it is that for wifi it took a while to work it would remain silent for a couple of minutes until it finally worked or I had to go up and down the channels so that it stopped being silent, with ethernet c
I am moving into a condo that has built in wired speakers in two rooms. The speakers are several years old, but they work. They are Boston Acoustic In-Wall speakers. The previous owner had two Sonos Connect amps, and connected to their home network via Ethernet.I have two questions - First, what amp or setup would be recommended to power the existing speakers (the speaker cables are easily accessible).Second, I would greatly prefer not to use Ethernet as the condo is no longer wired for it. Is that going to present a problem? Thanks in advance for any advice.
I just ordered a Move 2, primarily to use in my backyard, but also in the kitchen at times. When in the kitchen, would it make sense to include a Sub-mini to enhance the bass experience?
What is the quickest way to change subwoofer settings now? On the prior version of the app, it was easy by clicking on the volume slider bar and bringing up sound options. I can’t find something similar in the new app. Certain songs need bass enhancement and some don’t, having quick access to subwoofer settings was extremely convenient and the future I miss the most on S3.
I wanted to test out Sonos Radio HD on my new Amp which is hooked into whole house audio. I was finding Apple Music sounded great but the standard Sonos Radio wasn't doing it for me.Anyway so I entered my CC details to activate a free trial for the subscription service. I see it in my Sonos profile under orders but not yet under subscriptions.I'm not sure how to tell on the Sonos app whether or not anything has changed. Does the Sonos Radio thumbnail start to say HD? All that being said, I'm not sure the trial has been activated. Which is frankly pathetic for a transaction that can happen seamlessly online.I've tried reauthorizing Sonos Radio on the app several times to no apparent avail. I signed up for the Free Trial about 5 hours ago fwiw.
My Sonos doesn’t connect to my iPhone Sonos app, it seems to be connected to TV though..
First of all thanks in advance to anyone who gives me advice as a newbie.I owned a Sonos system years ago but disposed of it but now thinking of purchasing two Sonos1 second gen. speakers. However I have read several dreadful reviews of the Sonos App.I would appreciate any comments from users/experts on this App as it is holding me off from purchasing until I can get some real pukka information about its use. Many thanks
I have so many questions about this new app… How do I define speaker groups which persist and have the music last played on each remembered.I keep having connection issues (delayed response or unresponsive)The speaker selected seems to switch for no reason? The access to Spotify playlists is now hard to navigateFYI - My wife and daughters have given up completely and have asked me to remove the speakers from their rooms…Echoing other comments - can we have access to the old app?
