How do I delete old Sonos Playlists? They show and when using the edit option the delete icon is disabled. And when viewing the playlist itself there also is no option to delete.is this yet another broken not working issue of the new app or is it a usability issue that the new app is not made for actual human interaction without having psychic powers and I just cannot find it? And if so can someone who has either psychic powers or who developed it and forgot to tel us users not involved in writing our the flow diagrams where which feature is hidden to help? ;) Guessing nobody knows? What is going on? Did Sonos update the app again? I was very happy to get sleep timer back but now some genius change the setting again so sleep timer either end after 1 hour or end of track, silly but still the worst to come after selecting any period of time the question will pop up either disable connection or cancel sleep time!!! Exactly they are returning again to square one when they cancelled sleep timer in the update, can any one please explain how can we still activate sleep timer without disable connection
kan de playlist regelmatig worden ge -update Moderator Edit: Google Translate- the playlist can be updated regularly
Hi Re the new sonos app released May 2024 and the voiceover screen reader for IOS. I’m aware that since it’s launch in May 2024 the user experience for blind people using the app with the voiceover screen reader in IOS has been less than fantastic! as a blind person and voiceover user myself, I’m also well aware that sonos have done a lot of work to address problems for voiceover users following the initial release of the new version of the app. my question is are all of the improvments for use of the app with voiceover now included in the app as of the end of June 2024? or, are there more improvements scheduled for voiceover users during july? I’m currently running the last version of the system software and app prior to 7th may, but would like to update not least to take advantage of support for Apple Music Lossless. I would appreciate any advice from Sonos Staff, or others who have a greater knowledge of the forthcoming software releases. Thanks for your help, Angus.
I have a TP-Link Mesh dual band router. The Roam automatically connects to the 5 ghz band but will then drop off / disconnect within an hour. How do I steer it to connect to the 2.4 ghx band?
How do I get the surroundsound to work on my System? Everything is hooked up to my Samsung 68 inch and the Play bar works fine, but I get practically no music or movie sound out of the play speakers.
I am a patient IT engineer, but I am getting close throw out all my Sonos gear over this mess. I have a whole host of issues that started a few weeks back. It’s a mystery to me how such poor quality software updates passed release testing and were allowed to be rolled-out essentially rendering the product unusable. From Spotify I can sometimes not longer see any of my speakers on my Samsung Galaxy S23. Closing Spotify, putting the phone into flight mode and back again may or may not fix this. This is an older problem that I got used to though. When I select any of the speakers shown in Spotify for playback via Connect I get the circle (of death) and until it eventually times out without a connection to the speakers being established. This is relatively new (a few weeks) Using the Sonos App I can still see some of the playlists that I played last (when Spotify Connect was still working). Sometimes I am lucky and I succeed to get these to play. Using the Sonos App while trying to connec
I am missing the Option add to Radio Favorites on IOS
Please excuse the question but I’m new to Sonos and currently quite disappointed with what I’m sure is a great sound system and would really appreciate some help.I recently set up an Arc, Sub (gen 3), and a pair of Era 300s but when I sat down to enjoy the immersive experience of surround sound, I was badly disappointed. The two rears and the Sub made no contribution at all and I was left with sound only coming from the Arc.Everything works fine with films and the andverts are great but sport is a total fail. Is this normal or is there a setting I’ve missed that enables the rears to kick in with things like crowd noise?I really want to enjoy my sport so would welcome any advise. Thanks
In the new app when attempting to play one of my custom made playlists using Deezer, the music refuses to play. If trying to shuffle the playlist the play symbol will just show the spinning loading wheel. If attempting to play an individual song within the playlist it just says ‘something went wrong’. It also shows this ‘something went wrong’ error when trying to enter the Deezer service within the Sonos app. Using the old app on my tablet it has a similar issue, saying ‘cannot add song to queue - 701’. Have added a screenshot below of the error message. You can find artists within Deezer using the Sonos search bar. It will allow you to play artist mixes, but if you try to find artist top tracks, it will show the same ‘something went wrong’ message.I have already tried deleting Deezer and re-adding the service, and have rebooted my router and reset all my speakers by unplugging and re-plugging in. This is a major issue as my Deezer playlists constitute most of my listening on the Sonos s
Hi have two Sonos Connect units attached to two different hi- fi systems.i would like to buy a Sonos Era100 to connect to my Samsung tv as well as stream music from my hi- fi system .i understand that Sonos S1 is not compatible with Sonos S1 app. Is there a workaround or do I have buy more Sonos stuff ?
I have an Arc, subwoofer and two 300’s all setup in theatre mode. They are all wireless, none are connected by ethernet. In the app I set Sonnet to run on channel 6 even though I don’t use it.I recently ran a wifi scan on my home to see what channels are in use and I was surprised to see that my Arc is randomly turning on and off its own wifi signal. It's not Sonosnet, as I said that is on channel 6. The Arc is creating this signal on the same channel my router is running on. If I change the channel in my router, the Arc broadcasts a signal on that same channel also. Its brief, comes and goes.I know it's the Arc because the signal is identified with the mac address of my Arc. Another odd twist is I dont even see Sonosnet on channel 6, but if I dig into the Sonos diagnostics it confirms the Arc is set to channel 6.Anyone have any idea what is going on?
I have an old Sonos Boost lying around that I used to run in an old S1 system. I no longer use S1.As I don’t need it anymore I’ve decided to sell it and thought I would do a quick test to make sure it still works. I have reset it but the new S2 app cannot find it when using ‘add speaker or component’.Are they no longer supported in S2?I have searched these forums but can’t find much info. Any help would be appreciated.
I tried to take my move to the park to play music but it wouldn’t connect to my phone. The move works fine at my house.
So before what I’ll call the new S2 “black” app was just updated, I had on my phone and was able to use (at different times) both the original S2 brown app (to control some newer products like a Suband an Arc ) and separately also use the original gray S1 app to control some older connects that I have in my house. When I updated the Brown S2 app to the recent black S2 update, the old S1 gray app now says that one of my connects is incompatible with the old gray S1 app (and that I have to remove it or update to S2) , and says it needs the S2 app, but it’s not being discovered by the new black S2 app. How can I fix this to be annle to uae all my products as before ???? (The new S2 black app is still controlling the newer kit and the old gray S1 app is still controlling some old connects. )
Sonos used to be intuitive, user-friendly and integrated well with third party streaming providers like Tidal. The latest update not only makes using Sonos complex and EXTREMELY clunky and cumbersome, it no longer allows simple features such as playing Artist Playlists in Tidal. (The very thing I used Sonos for).I have already started looking at alternatives … Who else is thinking the same way?
All of a sudden, the volume has become low on my sonos. Normally, I listen at around 20-25 but now to hear the same level, I have to increase up to 40-45. Started noticing this after the software update. Happens both with Samsung Q8FN native apps and Apple TV4K
Is there a way on the app to tell if the ATMOS signal is Lossless or Lossy?
Hi folks, looking for some advice as a total novice! Purchased the arc and sub mini and want to create a home cinema. Am I right in saying best to purchase 2x Eras as back speakers? I also want to purchase a turntable for another room. Best speakers for that would be? I’m thinking 2 x era 100 as the room is long. If I want to connect it all together and share the experience in different rooms. What do I need? A port or an Amp or both ? thanks in advance 👍🏼. MA
Hello,I am just starting to learn about Sonos. For our new apartment living room we will have a new 55 “ Samsung TV, and I am looking for a sonos speaker set up for watching movies. I would also like to easily connect my iPhone via bluetooth ( I assume) to play music on the speakers. The Apartment has excellent wifi. There are also 2 ethernet ports on the wall, and there’s a wifi & router in the front hall closet that the 2 living room ports, ( and 2 bedroom ports) are connected to. What’s the optimal set up for this ? I am assuming there won’t be a lag if the TV is the source. Our main priority is good sound for watching movies, and TV.THANKS !
Aka daisy chain. Many cheap bluetooth speakers can do this so it would be disappointing if the Roam can't. I do know that two Roams will not do stereo in bluetooth but I can't seem to find anywhere if it even supports two Roams or more in mono. Thanks
