Hii am using since some year the playbar and I am still pretty happy with it. I was considering to extend it to home cinema and wanted to buy a set of era 100. after researching it seems they are not compatible to my playbar. What other options do I have? any ideas are welcome.thx in advancebest regards Norbert  

Several of my compilations (stored for many years on a NAS) now show up ‘empty’ like this in the new app (also missing album art)… I am not able to play them thru the app. However, with the pc controller I can play them normally (even though the order of songs is random). (With SonoPhone I can play the whole compilation but not the songs individually?). What is going on… miss the old app so much. (‘Error - try again’ it says in Danish). I enclose tags from Mediamonkey.  

Hey all!Can I save settings for different usage in the iOS app? Like a preset for “Music”, “Movies”, Podcasts” etc?How is that done so I don´t have to go into settings each time to adjust the settings for each usage. 

My Sonos system is up to date.  I play albums from Apple music.  I pause the music around 5 PM and the next morning when I go to restart play, the Sonos app shows music is playing my phone and nothing is coming out.  I unplug one of the speakers, the system loses the album I was playing and I have to regroup the dining and living room speakers again.  Once this is done, sound comes out.  Is there a permanent fix to this problem?

Hi Everyone,I am thicking of buying my daughter a Project T1 Turntable for Christmas and I was wondering if I can connect these to a set of old Play 1 sonos speakers to start with and then later upgrade to say a Sonos 5? Or what setup would people recommend? Also I can see there is both a Phono and Bluetooth version of the Project T1 will both work? Do I need to buy a Sonos AMP or Port?Also would using bluetooth have a significant impact on the music quality? My daughter wears headphones a lot so I thought the bluetooth version might be a good idea. I hope someone can help?

Would love a control in the app for center channel.  Rise with the OG arc requested this before and now with the Arc Ultra I want to be able to lower mine.  Just let us adjust it ourselves!  Lol Would also like to be able to adjust the volume of each surround independently.   

Tripped over this (minor) issue whilst fighting a different problem: SETUP:   Mac running Sonos Controller 16.4.2.music (nee iTunes) library lives on the Mac (Users/dan/music/iTunes)iTunes library exported to "iTunes Music Library.xml"Mac iTunes file structure entirely copied to USB drive hanging off router (\\NASMOUNT\iTunes)Sonos library location only knows \\NASMOUNT\iTunes. This has been working for years. I recently noticed that Sonos had a couple of extra imported playlists: Library and Music. They each appear to contain all songs. Reading posts here, it sounds like Sonos no longer needs the XML file, so I tried different variations. 1) updating library after deleting  xml file on the NAS:library and music are created in imported playlists, my imported playlists are there.xml file on Mac was modified. this was surprising, as I wasn't aware Sonos knew about the Mac iTunes location. 2) updating library without xml file either on NAS or Mac iTunes libraryMac iTunes XML file is creat

Very excited to break into the Sonos ecosystem with a full house remodel we’re doing. We will be using the Sonos Arc Ultra with Sonos in-ceiling speakers for surrounds, a separate zone in the kitchen, and a separate zone in the patio. The multi zone is why Sonos is such a great fit.The problem is the sub placement. Without going into too much detail, simply put I cannot use an external sub like the sub 4 due to not having anywhere to place it with our tv room layout. I could put it in a cabinet and use a mesh cover on the cabinet (even double this so there’s a sub 4 on either side of the TV), but everything I read says you do not want to put a sub in a cabinet. So, the questions is… if I use two in-wall architectural subs from sonance, can I still integrate them into the Sonos eco system and will it read them as .2 subs correctly for the home theater aspect of this? Would I have to buy a separate amp for each of them? Open to any ideas here. We’re still down to the studs on the remodel

Hi there,Recentely I bought the Sonos Beam gen 2 soundbar for my LG C1 tv. I connected it with a HDMI ARC cable and I made it surround with my two SonoS one's. The moment I wanted to experience the Dolby Atmos, I figured Netflix is only showing me Dolby Vision and no Dolby Atmos. The moment I unplug the soundbar Netflix is showing Dolby Atmos (since my tv supports this). I wonder if I am doing something wrong, but I thought Netflix would show me Atmos with this setup. Can somebody help me with this or explain why this isn't working?If you need any more information, let me know!Thank you in advance!

When if ever will i be able to play DRM again. Trying to convert my library isn’t easy and it hasn’t worked with Apple music like the articles say. Sometimes it creates a new version of a song that  might play . Sometimes it doesn’t. Problem not solved. I want to know who else to use because I have friends about to invest in Sonos and i told  them not to buy  whatever else is on the market. I’ve probably wasted 10k. There should be an option to use old software of away. I want my money back. I’ve been conned. 

Hello I need to update my system to use a new WiFi network. It has just two speakers, a 'One SL' and a 'Play:1'I understand I should first update the network settings for the 'One SL' via the app but, as this process is not supported for the 'Play:1', I need to do 'Factory Reset' for it before adding back to the system. Is this correct?If I do this, do I keep my Sonos playlists, Spotify service connection etc? In other words, are they all kept on the 'One SL' unit after it's reconfigured and later synchronised with the 'Play:1' once the 'Play:1' is added back to the system?Thanks 

Hi there,I have exactly the same feature request(s) as here:I have a projector setup with a retractable screen in front of a window, so a Sonos soundbar was never going to work for me. However I like the Sonos ecosystem and wanted a speaker setup for 3 primary use cases:good quality speakers for music could also be used for a home theatre setup could be used for a voice assistant I had the idea to use 2x Era 100s as a stereo pair for my main speakers. But to get my different AV sources passing audio to them via the projector, I thought using an Amp with the ARC was the way to go. Finally I added a sub mini into the mix for good measure.Before I committed to the purchase I phoned Sonos technical support to see if this setup would work: “sure” they said, “just make sure your projector has ARC”.Unfortunately after purchasing I realised their response was a bit misleading, as I found out to my detriment that the Amp wouldn’t pair the Era 100s as front speakers, only rear channels. Technica

I know Sonos doesn’t offer advanced Trueplay on Android due to variability in hardware (mic) but since Sonos produces portable speakers with built in mics, wouldn’t it be possible to setup means to use Sonos Roam/Move speaker mic to perform advanced trueplay at multiple listening positions for other Sonos products (ie Beam) using Android phone?

No system tools can be found to remove my 100's . So I added my new 300' & Arc Ultra to a different Room. Will sounds suffer for it ? And eventually I have to remove the 100's unless I can keep one room for surround & the other for Music.

Considering a pair of ERA 300’s for rear speakers surround speakers to replace 2x Sonos Ones in this open space room, the ceiling is vaulted from from to back too.  Also, have ARC, and dual subs already.  Anyone with experience in this kind of setup?  Thanks! 

I have been using the Sonos 1 app for over ten years on my Android phones. I have been quite happy. Recently I selected Pandora (it's been authorized for years) on the Sonos App. A screen appeared instructing me to "reauthorize Pandora." I followed the instructions and was informed the account had been reauthorized. However, when I attempted to post Pandora I received the same message to reauthorize Pandora. Multiple attempts yeielded the same result.Steps. Taken:1.Removed the Pandora service from Sonos and attempted to add it again - same problem.2. Uninstalled and reinstalled Sonos on my phone and then tried to add the Pandora service - same problem.3. Checked my Pandora Premium account - no issues. Everything works fine when I use Pandora as a stand alone app. 

Hey It would be great if you could at 4/5/7 speakers to create a better surround experience rather than relying on the soundbar. 

The function to shuffle a selected playlist for an alarm is missing from the new app.  As a result, my alarm plays the same songs every day instead of playing different songs from my playlist.  Can this change be included in a future update please?

I already have a pair of Ones with beam 2 and sub. My question is can I add a pair of era 100s to this set up or would I have to replace the ones with the era 100s

I have built a new barn and looking for recommendations for a Sonos setup. The area overall is 48’ x 48’  with 17’ Ceilings. In that 48x48 area there is a 12x 24 area under a loft for a tv/entertainment area then the other 12x24 area attached to that is an office and bathroom. I’m looking to have a entertainment area sound hooked to the tv sound with my current Sonos Ray, however when i want music I’m looking for recommendation on the larger area and looking to be loud. Also Have a 12’ x 48’ porch outdoor area i would want speakers for as well.Any help is much appreciated.

//SOLVED// I just picked up 2 new Symfonisk speakers. I have 2x Gen 1 Symfonisk  already. My old ones are in Stereo pair. No issues. These new ones will not allow me to pair.  I’ve tired this wired (ethernet), wifi disabled. Wifi on, ethernet unplugged, hard reset of the speakers, reset the router. Nothing.  The speakers work. Play music, no problem. Tried multiple streams and all ok. But every time I try to create a stereo pair, I this.  ISP Distributel - CanadaRouter/Modem - Deco X50  EDIT// After about 2 hrs on the phone trouble shooting this with Lvl2 tech from Sonos, here was the solution. We had to reboot the entire Sonos network in my home, not just the speakers we were using. There was a mismatch with my Home ID. This is internal to Sonos, but was solved with a house-wide reboot. So far so good. Choose the right speaker. Ok!Looks like it may work.Nope!

Dear Sonos hive-mind Currently have:Single Play:1 Gen1 (I got one of two in the divorce 🙄) Bluetooth enabled turntable plugged into a mini hifi and wired speakers. But also used with separate BT speakers. Bluetooth headphones (Sony WH-1000MX3)Want to be able to play the following in multiple rooms:vinyl CDs and tapes - currently use stereo streamed music (Bandcamp, Spotify) streamed music from iTunes library on iPhone and/or iMac Need to be able to play separate sources at the same time (small person uses Play:1 at bedtime to aid sleep)Don’t care about TV input. Question 1: Can I plug multiple analog sources into a Sonos system?Question 2: If not should I still get a Sonos Amp?Question 3: If not should I get a Play:5 Gen1 for the turntable - if so can I still listen to vinyl on other speakers in other rooms? What would you recommend?Moderator edit: edited at request of author
