I have a Beam under my TV screen and 2 “Ones” placed on the rear wall opposite the screen. The three speakers (and a Sub) are all connected as one “group”, so if I want the volume of the Ones to be higher, I have to increase the volume of the Beam. Can I increase the volume of just the Ones, and if so, how?
Hi I have moved into a new house, which has speakers in all the rooms all wired up and ready to go. If i buy a Sonos Bridge, will this enable me to stream my music from apple? i realise it would be the sqame music in every room. Do i need to buy anything else to get up and running? Thank you.
https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2024/08/sonos-laying-off-100-people-amid-expensive-app-problems/ Oh and bring back SMBv1 support so we can all access our music as we had done perfectly well for at least the last 10 years...please.
I just upgraded from Beam 2 to Arc Ultra. Unfortunately I have issue of no sounds from surrounds (Symfonisk Lamp Gen 2). I have tried to reboot all the devices, it managed to fixed, but after a period of time not using, the problem reoccur again. it means that I need to reboot all the devices to fix the issue over again and again which is very frustrating. Before upgrading, I have no problem with the Beam 2 + Symfonisk Lamp 2.
Hello folks,i just ordered the arc ultra ultimate set (era 300, Sub 4) and just came across the eARC requirement and I’m a bit confused now. AppleTV 4K (2nd generation) Sony KDL-55W905A ARC only, DOLBY® DIGITAL/DOLBY® DIGITAL PLUS/DOLBY® PULSE according to the specs I currently have an AVR via Toslink connected and it indicates Dolby 5.1 signal (not PCM)I’ve read that esp. the AppleTV 4K uses a different Dolby MAT container that some TVs struggle with. But giving the fact I get a Dolby 5.1 it seems to work?Does every TV that supports Dolby Plus embedded Atmos ? Can the behavior differ via HDMI ARC ? How would the Sonos set behave “worst case” ? How many channels are active on a non atmos track (e.g. ERA 300 rears and height channels) ? I didn’t plan to upgrade my TV already. Does the HDFury 1 (or 2?) Arcana already support the Arc Ultra? thanks
Hi,My question was asked per guidance from Sonos on stackoverflow. The question is specifically about the SMAPI, and if the Endpoint URL *must* be public. If so, Why? It doesn’t make sense and is a poor design choice for integrations. The question is asked here in more detail - please can somebody answer https://stackoverflow.com/questions/79162083/sonos-smapi-endpoint-can-this-be-decided-at-runtime
Hi,I changed my router to Zyxel DX3300-T0. After that Sonos app does not find Move. Router has WPA3 security protocol and I wonder if Move does not support that?
QUESTION 1:Can the sound quality get worse after adding Sonos Era 300 to the current Sonos system (BEAM GEN 2+SUBMINI+TWO SLS)?QUESTION 2:Although True Play is an excellent feature, the tuning process takes a long time. very little sound also causes disturbance while tuning, Its really embarrassing.QUESTION 3: Could I add two sub minis to existing sonos system.QUESTION 4: Is any Speaker upgrade program in india.
Since the last app update, I can no longer check for uodatws to my Ace Hesdphones. It just sits on "checking for uodatw" indefinitely. I have cleared the cache, rebooted the headphones, rebooted the phone, etc. Still the same thing. Anyone else experiencing this?
I currently have 2x Play 1”s and a Beam. What do I need to connect a Wharfdale SW150 SUB?Can I use a Gen 1 connect amp for this purpose?
Hello All, My system consists of a Sony 65’ A95L, A Sonos ARC 1st Gen, 2x Era 300s, and a Sub Gen 3. The ARC is mounted with my TV on a Sanus Extendable Wall Mount for Arc.Latley iv been looking at upgrading to the Arc Ultra, I already know that yes this mount will work for the Arc Ultra but this is not why I’m here today. So I found this video on YouTube: In the video he talks about how the Sonos Wall mounts Have magnets in them to tell the Sonos ARC that it is mounted. Then I stummbled on this old Sonos Community thread from a while back without a real answer if this Sanus ARC Mount had the magnets that told the soundbar it was mounted or not.A user by the name Mark P said “I'll submit a feature request to our development team. We don't have a timeline we can share for this feature, but we'll be sure to make an announcement if we have any updates” However Iv searched every where inside the Sonos APP, there is not anywhere or any settting where you can tell the soundbar yourself that
As SONOS is now mainly cloud based, I get the feeling that some issues could be caused by a slightly higher latency and affecting service due to IP communications having a short time out for a response packet. This happened when the service was taken into the cloud from locally but the company forget to allow for increased latency.Do you think peoples experiences are varying due to their internet connection and possibly wifi connection?
I have a Sonos Port, with firmware updated to latest. It is being used to play songs stored on a Synology NAS.I use the Android version of the Sonos app; it is updated to latest.Recently -- maybe with the last firmware update -- songs played from the local library have about a 50% probability of cutting off partway through playback, after which the music resumes at the next song in the playlist.Wifi signal is consistently showing “Fair -- 35 dB”Any thoughts? Anybody else seeing this? Is this a firmware problem, or could it be my own issue somehow?
I have the Sonos Arc Ultra, Sub 2nd Gen, x2 Era 100 speakers, and Sonos Ace Headphones. I also have an iPad Pro with m1.App Version: 80.11.51When I go to the settings, open the settings, click the “add speaker or component” i get the prompt to update the app. I click to install and i am taken to a google chrome page to download a BETA version via Test Flight. Hi guys just got my arc ultra and I have a mesh network ASUS with a 2ghz and 5ghz band. The arc connected to my 2ghz connection for setup but I can't get it to connect to the 5ghz band (even when moving the arc right next to the main modem). It just does the connection steps then errors out. I thought the new arc ultra is able to utilise the 5ghz band. Thanks for the help EDIT: Should also mention the system is setup with a Gen1 Sub (which can only use the 2ghz band). Is this the main issue where both need to be able to use the 5ghz band?
I thought I would give Sonos Radio a goI am into Soundtrack/Cine/Film music but cannot find any stations that suit this genre Any suggestions?
This is very hard info to find. I am looking to determine:1. Best Dolby Atmos experience2. Minimal touching of the equipment settings/rebooting/finding info on audioholic web sites for seamless operation.Price difference between the two extractors is significant. I am leaning in the OREI direction for the price. My setup:LG OLED TV with Google Chromecast (to HDMI Port)Arc Ultra2 Era 300’s as Surrounds Connection: Do I simply connect the the TV HDMI Arc port to the box?I do not have a firestick or alexa or gaming system.I just want to watch 4k TV with Dolby Atmos (whatever is served via the Chromecast).Thank you.
I have a large living room and am biting the bullet and moving away from a surround sound receiver setup with a sub to use Sonos speakers. i plan on buying an Arc , with a sub and two surround speakers. First question is if i’m paying over $2K for the setup should i go ahead and pay $100 for the Arc Ultra (inclined to do so) . Next question is a bit tougher. I’m a senior citizen I enjoy music but rarely listen to music through my TV setup. The speakers will be used 99% of the time to stream TV shows and movies. As best i can tell the Era300 speakers are terrific but may not be worth the extra $$ for my intended use of them ie surround sound. I do like a full room sound when watching movies but I suspect the Era100 will be more than adequate (and likely a big improvement over my existing setup). My wife is more concerned with how many remotes she will have to master and whether we can get rid of massive amounts of wiring behind the equipment ?Trust the answer yes to both :)
Available app update as of November 4 but the release notes in the app store are exactly the same as 80.11.39 and the Sonos release note site hasn't updated yet. No noticed changes in user interface on iOS 18.1. No associated hardware update. Nothing for the Ace.What's the point?
Hi there, I understand there is an option to return my sonos arc, pay 100 euro’s more and get the new sonos Arc ultra. A similar thing can be done with the new sub.I have purchased my sonos Arc 2 years ago and I did not buy it directly from Sonos but from a third party in Slovakia. My products are registered however in the sonos page.Am I eligible to return and just pay the difference between the new and old?I would really hope so but if that is the case how would I go about doing so considering my location?Thank you
Hi. I have 4 tourist rentals all connected to the same wifi network. I have set up 4 Era 100’s using this network. At the moment, if one guest uses the Era 100 in their rental, the music is also played in the other rental properties. Clearly my other guests do not want to hear each others music! If I disable the wifi on each speaker, can the guests still play music via Bluetooth only? Or is wifi mandatory?
Sonos will lose market share if they don't make their selections for a diverse audience. After spending several hundred dollars for Sonos speakers I am finding their audio selection very limited. These are my speakers, I should be able to listen to more than the Sonos limited selection. For example adding a podcast like Wondery. I am researching other systems.
Until the beginning of this week my pair of Era 100's were producing perfect surround sound when installed with a Beam and using the S1 app. A few days ago I swapped out the Beam for an Arc Ultra and also updated the Sonos app. Now the Era's are almost silent. The new app has removed the means of controlling the sound level for the Era's. I have EQ adjustments set to loud. I've done a trueplay on all. They all display a stable white light. Should I revert to the S1 app? Will that work with the Ultra?
Hi- for about a week now, when I play a playlist it will play the same song on repeat, move randomly to another, play that repeatedly and over and over again. Any suggestions? The queue only shows the one song that it’s currently repeating
