Can I use a 20 watt apple usb c charger to charge roam or could it damage it?
Quisiera saber si el Sonos Port me puede funcionar para poner música en diferentes zonas de una residencia o si hay algún producto de sonos que me pueda ayudar a hacer lo mismo
I’ve been keeping an eye on refurbished subs on the Sonos UK site and have never seen any in stock. I’ve been checking in monthly for about a year but it’s always out of stock! Is this a fruitless endeavour? Do they never have refurb sub stock in the uk? I could stretch to £499 to bolster my Play 5 pair but £699 is just not really an option, unfortunately. I’d rather buy through Sonos than the second hand market. What are people’s thoughts?
I've got to admit, I'm a little disappointed with the Atmos performance of my Arc. My room seems like it is perfect for the way that the Arc bounces audio to simulate height speakers, but I don't really hear any discernible difference between 5.1 and Atmos sources - certainly not in terms of height and the sound bubble effect that Atmos is meant to bring. The room is 3.8m wide, and 3m to the back of the couch, with a ceiling height of 2.6m. Arc is on a tv unit, at about the same height as the seats (45cm from ground).I'm playing Atmos sources via the AppleTV+, Disney+ and Netflix apps on a 4K Apple Tv, using a HD Fury Arcana to split this out to the Arc. The Sonos app shows the Atmos logo when playing back the appropriate sources, so I'm confident its definitely Atmos content.I've tried several things to try and improve the height effect, but have had no joy so far. Every time I've tweaked positioning, I've re-run Trueplay. What's the ideal placement for the Arc in terms of distance giv
I got a confirmation email on 04/6/2021 but not gotten nothingafter
Hi,I have a question. I just installed a Sonos Beam in my leaving room. Works well but I already had two Sonos Play 5 paired to play music that I wanted to use them as surround speakers as well. Unfortunately, when I go in the app and try to set up the surround options, the only choice I have is for Play 1 that are in other rooms but no option to choose the two Play 5.any advice on how to do this?thank you!
Just bought a Sonos Roam and unable to play my tabata app without using Spotify. Can anyone recommend an app that will play on its own. Thanks.
I have a playbar, gen3 sub and 2 one sl set up as a surround sound in my living room. I loved is and the gen 3 sub is very powerful and just how i like it. So i bought the arc, gen 3, and 2 more one sl to put in my man cave. I figured it would be amazing in the smaller room but the sub sounds weak and nothing like the same sub in the living room. What could be wrong
Hi all had the Roam very pleased however I can get it to transfer the music it is playing to the nearest speaker I have two beams but are connected to play 1 which are not supported is that my problem. Also I have a iPod classic 1tb which I was hoping I could use a Bluetooth transmitter to Roam but the ones I have are older and will not link is there a version Bluetooth transmitter needed the highest I've seen is 3.1 or is the fact with a phone you have a visible named connection to link with, I'd love to try the more expensive Bluetooth transmitter for iPod but at £80 reluctant to spend that much as it's only the Roam I want it to really work with cheers Phil.
Hi. Picked up my roam last week and I keep it constantly on my Qi charger. I ask Alexa to play music for maybe 20 mins every weekday and longer on weekends (remotely). ‘Will I degrade the battery/reduce the life expectancy’ of the Roam if I keep it constantly sat on a Qi charger in standby mode?I have read conflicting answers to this question, but is there somebody from Sonos who can provide an accurate answer. Thanks
Recently I've been experiencing this problem intermittently. Often i could not find my Sonos Playlist section. Please advise if anyone knows the fix to the problem. Thanks
Hi, I have a Sonos 5 first Gen speaker, which is only compatible with the S1 app. I just bought the Roam and didn't realise that it only works with the S2. I also have a couple of 1s, which are compatible with both. Do I need to upgrade the 5 or is there another fix? Can I switch between Apps for example!? Thanks anyone in advance for any advice!
Hi - I’ve been using the above combination, and only have a few hours listening to the Roams as a stereo pair. The battery life has seemed pretty poor, but after leaving them overnight on the Livboj chargers starting at about 30% charge, this morning both were dead with no charge. The amber light was flashing, showing a charging fault. I’ve charged them for the past 4 hours on USB, and they’re now showing 49%. I’m resuming wireless charging which seems to be working for now.The Livboj is rated at 5W, the same as the Sonos charger, and I’m using them with an IKEA Askstorm 40W charging brick. They are both sitting perfectly centred on the charging pad.Has anyone had similar experiences or can anyone explain why they’re charging so slowly if at all? Thanks.
Having replaced a Bose wireless speaker with the Roam, one feature I’m really missing is that the Bose would announce remaining battery life when powered on via the power button. This served as a useful reminder that when I’m finished using it (or asap) I should place it on the charger.
I am trying to see if there is a way to split the signal coming out of a Roku Ultra to send one signal to my old Samsung TV and a separate signal to the Sonos arc. My goal is to get Dolby Atmos sound out of my Sonos Arc. My old Samsung TV doesn’t support Dolby Atmos pass through.I’m sure this is a common problem for many people with older TV’s. I think there are only about 5 TV’s on the market right now that can pass through Dolby Atmos to a Sonos arc.
Is there any way to hide Port from the speaker/room list when it’s only being used as an input? I have it connected to a turntable but nothing connected to the output.
Hi all, I have heard all about HDfury Arcana. I have an old Samsung TV from 2013 with Sonos Arc + Sub + 2 Ones SL. I am looking to push Dolby Atmos out from the setup.Arcana is good, but expensive. Am looking at a 4K HDCP compliant HDMI splitter (not HDMI switch) to split the source to 2 HDMI out, one for TV, one for Arc.Can this work? Thank you in advance.
Unless I’ve missed a trick, the MacOS 11 podcast app allowed me to drag a podcast into my music library for use with Sonos. In newly updated MacOS 11.3 with an updated podcast app I cannot drag anything anywhere.Any suggestions welcome
Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum and haven't found any similar post so excuse me if there is already some thread that might be of help.I'll try to be concise. I've had a couple Sonos Play:1 (old gen, no airplay) for some years and I really like the controller and the fact that it integrates multiple streaming services I use (Spotify, Tidal, Soundcloud, Bandcamp, Mixcloud, Pocket Casts...). I also have a flash drive attached to the router with .mp3 and .flac files which is also available within the app, so it can all be controlled from a single app. After moving a lot I have finally settled and decided to get a decent HiFi. I've made some research and talked to friends and staff at good HiFi shops in my town and finally decided to get a Bluesound Node 2i, a Cambridge Audio CXA60 and a pair of Wharfedale Evo 4.2. Also a Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB, but it doesn't affect the question here. The Bluesound is connected to the CXA60 via coax, so I'm actually using the amp's built-in DAC. Overall I'm
How many in ceiling speakers pre-wires should I place in the Kitchen-Breakfast-Family room layout below? And what should be the position/installation layout? Thank you Will below placement work?
Moderator Note: Modified December 2024 to account for new products and changes to the latest mobile controller. Thinking about getting a turntable setup with your Sonos system and wondering where to start? We've got you covered. If you're looking for a quick overview before you dive into the details below, check out the info we have over on our blog. Before getting started, we need to ask a simple question— Does my turntable need a phono preamp?Although some turntables have a built-in phono preamp, most of them don’t. Turntables output their signal at phono level, which is a low, quiet signal rated in millivolts. A phono preamp converts the audio output to line level, which is a louder signal rated in volts. If your turntable does not have a built-in phono preamp, you’ll need to place one between the turntable and Sonos player. We don’t recommend any phono preamp in particular, but we’ve heard great things about the Music Hall Mini, U-Turn Pluto, and Bellari Rolls VP 29.Your audio receiv
I recently received my Roam and fired it up. Sound is good for what it is, no complaints there. However I have to add my voice to the increasing complaints of the device turning itself on whenever the Sonos app is accessed, which subsequently drains the battery rendering it unusable until battery is charged for about 5 minutes (maybe more). Advice of “just leave it on the charger” doesn’t work because it doesn’t come with the charger!!!! Said charger costs extra and is of course out of stock currently. Moreover, a simple phone charger (which charges my equally-if-not-more-capable Bose Soundlink Mini) charges the Roam at a snail’s pace! Sonos you’ve dropped a bit of a clanger here - I would absolutely recommend a) not selling this device without its native charging dock b) NOT having the device turn itself on whenever the app is accessed. I think a software update is needed quickly to prevent the above. Lastly, turning the roam on and off requires placing equal pressure on the front
Hello,We are the Moroccan news agency (MAP), the leading news producer in Morocco and the owner of RIM radio. We are interested in your audio system "SONOS". Therfore, we tried to install Sonos Application to test it, but we got all app pages blank. My first question is, do I have to connect the app to a Sonos Speaker in order to be able to access "Browse", "Services and voice" tab and other informations?.My second question is that our radio RIM can be integrated to your Sonos Radio service which include about 60000 radio stations from the world? For information, RIM radio is integrated in many streaming system like TuneIn, Shoutcast, MyTuner. Please provide us your support.
HiDoes it cost anything for a DSP to be added to SONOS app?
I recently started having picture tinting issues with my Plex on Roku and decided to try AppleTV and Nvidia Shield Pro devices out. The Roku did a good job with the Atmos audio and converted DTS into a nice surround 5.1 so that I did not miss the DTS support on the Sonos Arc. I did some testing using Plex, Infuse and Kodi/Plex and came up with some odd results. I was trying to get feedback as to how others have solved the audio limitations of Plex with Sonos Arc. See included images. I am running Plex Server on a Synology DS1520+. The streaming devices are connected to a Samsung Q90T TV using eARC and a high-end 8K HDMI cable to the Sonos Arc.
