Just bought a Sonos Roam and unable to play my tabata app without using Spotify. Can anyone recommend an app that will play on its own. Thanks.

Thanks for the details. Does Spotify (or anything else except calls) play on your Roam over Bluetooth without issue?
If so then we know the Roam and your phone are working as expected and I recommend you get in touch with the makers of the Tabata app to ask them if it supports Bluetooth playback.
As for recommending an alternative app, I’m afraid I can’t.

+18Maybe you could explain a bit more about you use case? What do you want to achieve ? What is the tabata app?
I am a personal trainer and use a tabata timing app to set up timed workouts. The app works when I play music on Spotify and will count down interval training but won’t work when I just use the tabata timer.
I connect the speaker through Bluetooth and then try to play the tabata app but it won’t play through the speaker.
I hope that makes more sense.
