I am trying to see if there is a way to split the signal coming out of a Roku Ultra to send one signal to my old Samsung TV and a separate signal to the Sonos arc.  My goal is to get Dolby Atmos sound out of my Sonos Arc.  My old Samsung TV doesn’t support Dolby Atmos pass through.

I’m sure this is a common problem for many people with older TV’s.  I think there are only about 5 TV’s on the market right now that can pass through Dolby Atmos to a Sonos arc.

There is!  HD Fury Arcana

Danny,

Would this resolve the horrible audio lag I see from my LG CX to my Arc when the signal comes from my XBox One?

If the audio lag is introduced in the TV (which is likely), then yes, since your TV would no longer be involved with passing the audio to the Arc. I don’t keep up with all the issues that happen with different TVs, so can’t 100% confirm. If it’s an xbox one problem, and I don’t have an issue with mine, then no.

@RAGO13 I have an old Panasonic plasma TV from 2013 and a Roku Ultra (4660 model). Without the HDFury Arcana, I could only get stereo 2.0 audio from the Roku apps. Now with the Arcana, I can get Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 and Dolby Atmos audio from the Roku. The Arcana works great.

Can we just use a HDMI Splitter (4K and HDCP compliant) without HDfury Arcana? I have heard all about Arcana, but it is expensive. Am looking for a simple $30 splitter (not HDMI Switch) to split from the source to video and audio.

Answered on the thread you started yourself.  The answer being no, it wouldn’t work.  (Because the Arc needs an eARC or HDMI-ARC feed, not HDMI.)
