Hi,I have a DLINK 320 NAS and 2 Sonos Play 1’s. I have my Music stored in a folder Volume_1\Media\Sonos followed by a Folder for each Artist. Its been like this for several years with almost no issues. About a month ago I noticed I’d lost all my Music on my Sonos with the exception of one Album. I looked on my NAS and all the media had been deleted, All my other stuff on my NAS had not changed. I copied the music back again from another drive and bizarrely the next day it had been deleted again. So I did the same thing again, the next day all my Music had been deleted from the NAS. The other stuff was still intact. Since then I’ve re-imaged my NAS and rebuilt it 3 or 4 times with a 3rd Party image which didn’t work very well with Sonos, I’ve gone back to the original DLINK image, reformatted my NAS and copied over the Music once again, and today the Music I added yesterday has been deleted again this morning. I’m loathed to buy another NAS as not 100% sure it will fix the problem, any i
Hello friends,I own a Beam 1gen working with 2xOne SL as surround speakers. When I play movies encoded with AAC 5.1, the audio is played on the Sonos system as Stereo PCM. I understand this is due to Sonos not licensing AAC audio.Howeve, today I read that the Beam 2gen and the Arc are both compatible with Multichannel PCM and Dolby Multichannel PCM. Does this mean the Beam 2gen and the Arc will play media encoded with AAC 5.1 audio as Multichannel PCM?Hope someone can clear this up for me.
Our current system is mainly s1. We want to add home theater to our system and still be able to use the old products with it. What are our options?
Long standing podcast suddenly won't play. How do I fix it?
i found a Sonos Play:5 discarded on side of road. Can i upgrade it?
HalloI’m testing a Sonos system composed of : ARC+SUB (3 gen)+ 2 ONE SL as surround (connectede by Arcana to a Tv Plasma Panasonic and as source : Bluray Player and Apple tv 4K).my question is: when I switch off the tv and Apple tv or Blu ray player is not clear to me if I have to switch off all the Sonos components or it remains always in stand-by (for example the Sonos One SL has a white led always on)thanks in advance for your support
I’ll start by saying I really can’t stand watching or listening to broadcast ads. I don’t listen to commercial radio. I don’t watch commercial television. I happily buy albums through Bandcamp to support artists directly, and to discover new music I pay for a streaming service which is ad free. I also really love some of the Community Radio stations that operate in my home city and want to keep listening to them at home. A few months ago my Sonos system has started playing ads when I first connect to one of the community radio stations it happens whether I connect via my Google Assistant, or manually select the stations through the app. I’ve tried to bypass this by “adding radio stations” directly via the direct URL as is recommended in some other comments on the forum, but this doesn’t do anything to stop the ads. I’ve also added the stations through the Sonos Radio service, rather than the TuneIn service, but I still get the TuneIn ads. In the end I decided whilst frustrating, I c
Hi, I've got my Sonos Move for about a month, quite happy overall, but there are some features I don't understand, and maybe my system is faulty, but the speakers does not capture certain sounds at all, which means that I'm only listening to 3/4 of the total instrumentation. For example, I was listening to the song "FEEL." by Kendrick Llamar. In the intro there are some heavy bass drum kicks and some warped vocals, however the ambient guitar chords in the background is barely captured at all, which ruins the atmosphere of the song for me. My Phone speakers does this better. I have no idea how to bring forward that sound, and it appears in other songs as well, and I'm guessing it's with similar sounds scapes, where the bass and rythm section is overpowering the more subtle ambient background stuff. I've played around with the already limited EQ system, but I've got to compromise on other sounds, which creates other issues.. Would appreciate any tips!
Sorry for the naive question - searched for it but didn’t see. I’m setting up a system with wired rear in-ceiling speakers and plan to connect this to an ARC soundbar (& will have a sub). Do I need to buy an amp? For that matter, will the wired rear speakers plug into the ARC? Thanks for any help!
The Sonos app sucks. Either it can’t add songs to my queue or it can’t even Airplay my Spotify onto my Soundbar. Most useless products ever. Don’t do it.
Does anyone know the meaning of the blue dot? New content maybe? But if so how to ID? Thanks.
Keep losing sound from my Arc after loud pop. Diagnostics ticket 182111920 and 1452917050Please advise
Thinking about expanding my Sonos system and looking for adviceCurrently we have Sonos Move which lives in the kitchen and follows us to patio/ pool as well. However there are many situations when we would like to have music in the kitchen and patio at the same time. So I’m considering 2 options. 1.) buy a new Move that will live in the bedroom. When we want music on the patio we will bring this one out and still have the original Move in the kitchen. 2.) buy a new Five for the kitchen and shift the Move to the bedroom/ patio duty. Any recommendations? How much better would the sound in the kitchen bee with a Five vs Move? Will the Five take up significantly more counter space in the kitchen? Anything else to consider?
I have been a Sonos user for years. My music library has been on the same Synology NAS for all those years. Now, I can add that music library (via //10.0.1.55/music) no longer to my Macbook Pro.I can add it to my iPad and iPhone, though,What to do?
Hi,I have an old Connect Amp that does not support Apple Airplay, wondering if there is an adapter that could be plugged into the input jack that might make it work?
Hi,I’m going to buy a second hand product. Is there a way to check the device Serial Number? Here the S/N: [removed]Thanks
I noticed today my pair of Play:3 speakers have lost 5 rubber feet. I would like to replace them to keep the devices stable. I called support but was told the product is no longer made. I had hope Sonos still carried leftover replacement parts but the agent said they don't support that product anymore. It is a unique part that fits in cutouts within the Play:3 speakers. Does anyone know where I can get these uniquely shaped replacement parts?
Hi, I bought my full Arc set up from Sonos but would like to change my One sl rears to 5's for the rears and wanted to know if I can get a discount?
I recently purchased a Samsung 75" Class - QN85 Series - 4K UHD Neo QLED LCD TV and a Sonos ARC SL at Costco, set everything up as indicated. Sounded terrific. Really excited and pleased. When I switched the input source to the Apple TV 4K (the latest version of the Apple TV), everything was fine and audible, no issues. I could hear the clicking, the apps opening and such. When I went to watch a preview or trailer on Netflix, Apple TV, or other content providers through the Apple TV, still good, but when I went to play the actual content, such as a movie or an episode from a series, the sound cuts out and only works after I either unplug/plug the power cable from the Sonos ARC or jog the input or the play/pause, app in/out until the audio works. This has been an issue since I hooked up the system less than two months ago. Please provide guidance on a fix. I’m really frustrated and disappointed.
I first had this issue with my Apple TV 4K (gen 2), LG C1 TV and Beam (gen 2) when I initially set it up months ago, after weeks of playing with settings and some TV and Sonos software updates it started working correctly. However recently the issue reoccurred, after spending hours messing with the settings and thinking it was an LG TV issue I tired the settings below, specifically the last one fixed the issue for my setup. Hope this helps someone save hours of frustration. Please let me know in the comments if it helps with your setup.LG TV Settings -> Audio -> Advanced -> Audio Format, for all 4 HDMI: BitstreamLG TV Settings -> Audio -> Advanced -> Audio output to Direct Transfer/PassthroughLG TV Settings -> Audio -> Advanced -> Share TV audio mode (TV Sound Mode Share) <— This fixed the issue for me
I have just installed a Sky Glass TV and tried to connect to y Sonos Beam with 2 Play 1’s and a Sub. Having some issues with the Sky Glass remote controlling the volume etc. Any one else having similar issues?
Hi, does anyone know the streaming URL to add a radio called RADIO DeeJay (Italian) manually into SONOS? The Radio doesn’t work anymore in SONOS since last update and i want to try to add it manually with the URLthank you
It is 2022 right now, anyone else order a arc around the second week of January and have had their order shipped? I got a estimated ship date of 1/21 back when I ordered it, but all it says is order is placed and it’s backordered. Today is 2/3 already. It shows Backorder — Estimated to ship March 25,2022 on website for black color arc! Will I get my order soon tho? Thanks!I also ordered the white color sub and the estimated ship date is 2/4. I don’t think they will ship it on that day.
