I have a Panasonic GZ1000 and a Sony UBP-700.I am fully aware that my Sonos ARC does not support full DTS, but i was under the impression I could access a 7.1 PCM pass through (or at the least 5.1) on any DTS-X input? i have my blu-ray set to:Digital output: PCM (have also tried on auto)DSD: offSecondary: off48hzDRC: off i have my TV set to :Audio format: auto (have also tried on PCM)Dolby Atmos; on (although i know it is irrelevant here) When playing a title such as ET which comes with DTS-X 7.1, i get 5.1 Dolby plus on the menu screen and then PCM 2.0 during the film. What am i doing wrong that is preventing the Sonos from outputting 7.1 multichannel? The speaker works fine with Dolby Atmos (obviously) and the software is 14.14 so should have the DTS upgrade. it is driving me insane because it means i am going to have to get a HDFury just to get the proper experience out of any Universal pictures 4Ks i own (as for some reason they favour DTS over Dolby). any advice on how to remedy w

I want to listen my fire TV stick through my Sonos Move but I can not get both of them connected. I have succeed with controlling Fire Tv with Alexa from my Sonos but not to play the fire TV on my Sonos, could you please help me? I could not find any solution to this topic in the community. I know that my Play-speakers ain’t working with Airplay. But, is it necessary to change both to Sonos One SL or will it work if I just change one of them and then make a group (consisting of one Play and one One SL)?

I have two Sonos Play 5 units paired in stereo and the Sonos Sub.  My primary use for this is playback of my personal music files.  I have been very happy with Sonos except I am very interested in being able to play my personal high resolution files (24/48, 24/96 and 24/192).  I know Sonos supports 24/48 streaming but I want to use my own files.   What is on the horizon to catch up technology wise.  I would love to continue with Sonos but that may become an insurmountable issue without that support.  Speaking of on the horizon is there any upgrades or new models in the works to add another level of speaker above the Play 5 or its current iteration the Sonos Five?

I fear the wireless card is bad in the Connect S15.  I pulled it, but impossible to determine part number.  Could someone recommend a part number for the wireless card in the S15.  Thanks.   

I have a Sonos One in the living room and Sonos One SL in the bedroom.When I am playing songs from my phone (iOS 13.3.1), airplay to either speaker won’t work.The error message I get is > Unable to connect to “Living Room”.However, when I airplay to Apple TV, it works! Any kind soul can help what’s wrong? I try restart my router, speakers and phone. It doesn’t work at all.

Hello again!.I've been using WiFi Analyser and it seems 2.4ghz round my area is chocker blocked where as 5gh is relatively untouched.I have Playbar, Sub, Play:1's, Play One's, Play 3's and Move.If I go over to S2 will all these be able to connect via 5gh and if it came to it can I downloade all back to S1? (I have a Connect S1 only to keep the S1 system).My Move seems to be having the hardest time with connecting it seems.I'm back on Channel one for now.I would like to try a Mesh System really but Sonos doesn't seem to get on with these?.Can S2 do SonosNet in 5ghz band?.Thanks for any comments.

Sonos Arc not appearing on app after working perfectly well since set up many months ago. I have powered off device, rebooted wifi and device. Sound working on TV through HDMI arc cable.  All other Sonos devices are working fine  Grateful for advice to get system back working again 

I have a Niles gxr2 whole house system installed with wall mount display and keypads.  i bought the apple 30 pin to composite cable. I connected the 30 pin to niles and the red white part to so os connect generation 1 audio out.. when i play a song i don’t gear any music coming out of the speakers  the niles wall plate say “source connected” when I switch to ipod but the mute button always stays red for some reason.  what am I doing wrong. Could someone please help?

I’m about to purchase a Sonos set up and wanted to check my thinking. I want the Beam (2) and I can connect it to two One SLs for surround sound on the TV.If the TV is off and I ask Alexa to play some music, will the Ones both play the music as well or just the Beam?If so will the sound balance out? The TV will be in the corner and the Ones on either side of the couch facing the TV. It’s a fairly large room too.

I currently have a turntable connected to a connect amp with 2 wharfdale speakers and a sub connected. I want to add a Yamaha ex-v450 amp to boost power. What’s the best wiring configuration for the speakers? 

Hi all, While these are probably basic questions, I’m new to most of the technologies I’m asking about so It’s a bit overwhelming to search for info when you’re not familiar with the terminology and products 🙁. My current setup consists of older LCD connected to Apple TV and a Denon receiver which is connected to a set of regular speakers. I want to migrate to Smart TV, ditch the Apple TV, and replace the Receiver and speakers with two Sonos Five in the living room with the option of later adding subwoofer, and several One’s spread around the rooms in the house. All speakers (or at least the ones in the living room) will be connected via ethernet. My use cases:Connect my Roon (which is running on a NAS) to Sonos. I’ve already checked that this is possible (with few limitations). Have the option to connect the Smart TV to the speakers in the living room but have it trivial to switch between sound from the TV and speakers. Note, I’m not interested in Home Theatre Surround setup. Regardi

I have a Sonos Roam SL, which I am very new to, therefore I have a lot to learn? I have an Apple Mag Safe charger which I use for my iPhone 13.Is it safe for me to use this Mag Safe charger for my Sonos Roam SL, please?

Im interested in installing the Sonance In Wall speakers as fronts in a 4.1 home theater system. They’ll be powered by the Sonos Amp and I’ll be using wireless Sonos 1s mounted on the ceiling as rears.However, the wall they’re going in is a really weird configuration and they’ll need to be mounted about 6-7 ft off the ground (approx position in light blue below). Is there any way (or 3rd party product on the market) that will allow them to be angled slightly down and in toward the main viewing position? I also had the thought of installing the Sonance In Ceiling in the wall instead as they can easily be angled. Not sure if they’re specifically designed to shoot down and installing in the wall would be weird?Any thoughts or better ideas on where to put front speakers welcome!

Hi. Can I turn down the TV audio whilst watching the TV picture but using the Play Bar for music?

This is crazy! The shuffle button always worked for years and now its gone (With Apple Music when I select my apple music).  But if I go straight to Apple Music, the shuffle button is there. Anyone know how to fix this? I called Sonos and they said they couldn’t help me but would take it under consideration.   Without a shuffle button, I would never have bought my two systems.  Sonos has to do better than that. 

I have a ray and surround sound through an amp. I paired the remote and it says it is set up on sonos app.  The volume bar goes up and down on the screen but the volume doesn’t change when using Tv remote. The sound is coming out of the sonos system and not TV speakers so it is connected but not working. Any ideas?

I’ve tried connecting the Port OUT L/R to the Audio IN L/R 1 line and assigning it in the settings to an input. I get no sound regardless of where I’ve connected so far. Thanks!

I just put up a tv on my outdoor patio. Currently there are two speakers mounted on the ceiling. These speakers are hard wired to my living room but not plugged in. So I have an issue with a tv located outside and speakers wired to the inside and can’t get the hdmi to the amp. What is the best recommendation for using those speakers with an amp or just buying new Sonos speakers for outdoors?     

I can get one Move connected to my Apple TV (latest version) with Airplay.  When I stereo pair both Moves, it no longer appears as a list of available devices on the Apple TV.  Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
