I’m buying a receiver that has Sonos capabilities and I need to know where the wireless signal comes from? Does it come from the Sound Bar or does it come from the Sub Woofer?
is the first gen soundbar eARC compatible?
I use a playbar with a modern Samsung TV and am looking to upgrade to Arc. The eArc means the TV remote will then control the Sonos properly. However, I also use Bluetooth headphones at the same time. Will the TV remote still control the Sonos, or will it only control the headphones? Will the TV with eArc connection mean that, cleverly(!), the Sonos switches off when I use Bluetooth headphones, which is absolutely what I don’t want!
2014 living in a camper:Bought a Play-bar, sub, 2) Play 1, Play 5 2019 bought a house and added a Beam I now want to add a bar, sub, and 2) Play 1 to have a whole house sound system House is only 1,120 sq ft and I currently have no delay/echo issues Should it be simple to add as I have done in the past? Purchase, plug, play? Thank you!Travis
Hi, I have got two nintedo switches in the house and they run wirelessly. I also have my sonos system. The Swithches are furthest from the router in our house and both sit relativly close to a sonos product. The wireless signal is somewhat low for both the swithches so was wondering if I could hook each switch via the eathernet ports on the sonoses. Will this provide a more stable network for the Swithches to run on?
Is it possible to use 2 Sonos Amps with passive speakers whereby 1 Amp is the left channel and 1 the right channel in a stereo set up ? Thanks in advance for any replies..
Is there anybody out there that can explain to me the point to buying a Sonos TT Project Debut carbon for $749 when I can buy the Fluance RT85 Reference High Fidelity Vinyl Turntable with the same blue cart and the built in preamp for $599.Also I have been looking at the Victrola carbon stream for $799 which has the selling point that it is wireless and not in need of an RCA jack. Since I plan to use the TT/ Play5 in the same room what advantage am I going to get out of the Victrola. Thanks
Morning all! I think I need to take back a tv. After installing a 65” LG OLED B2, I found it is not pairing with my Arc SL. Neither input is labeled with the HDMI(ARC). LG’s website says the first HDMI is usually the HDMI(ARC) input. I also found a review stating it worked. Anyone else able to connect an LG B2 series OLED to an Arc SL? If not, I am afraid I’ll have to take it back
I’m purchasing a Sonos speaker and I saw when trying to pay with Apple Pay on the website it offers 5 shipping options… free Ground 1-5 day, $15 2 day express, $25 1 day express, FREE 2 day express “CSR”, and FREE 1 day express “CSR”. When I look at paying without Apple Pay it just offers the normal 3 options, free ground and $15 and $25 express options. What is “CSR” shipping, and if I select it will I really get FREE 1 day shipping? Thanks!
Can Sonos beam be paired with in-wall speakers (architectural) to create surround sound effects?
Hi All,After reading all the glowing reviews I ordered the beam gen 2 from Canadian store on march 25th and it's going to be two months now and the order has not been shipped yet . Customer care is utterly clueless about eta sometimes they lie and no one seems to care about the order. Could someone please help me on escalating this ? Talking to customer care feels like shouting into the void.
There are a number of conversations regarding problems with TV set-up, especially with Samsung TV’s not playing nice. Rather than troubleshooting problems, I’m interested in successes.Specifically, has anyone combined a TV+AppleTV+ARC or TV+AppleTV+AMP (for ceiling speakers) where the TV remote controls Sonos Volume AND the volume level displays on the TV? If yes, please share the details of your setup and TV make/model.Thanks
Hello,Curious to know, I have a Fluance RT84 turntable connected to a Cambridge Audio Alva Solo Moving Magnet Phono Preamplifier connected to a Sonos Five. It sounds great and I get lots of enjoyment listening to various genres of music. The connection from the preamp to the speaker is RCA to 3.5 using a cheap £8 cable. My question is should I buy a more expensive cable? And will I notice any difference in sound quality if I do?Many Thanks Simon
Hi there,When I Open the windows APP, no speakers are showing and it asks to update.I click update. On the PC (Windows 11) the update says it has failed.I check the IOS app and it says there is no updates available.I have uninstalled and reinstalled the PC app. I still get the same issues. How hard would it be to make a 7.2 Or at least make some upfiring speakers I have the 5.2 with the sonos 5 as my rear If you added 2 more front speakers and 4 upfiring It would be a dream
I have 2 Sonos Amps, can I use one of the amps for a 5.1 surround sound with built in in wall speakers and sub woofer. Or do I need to get a receiver and connect my Sonos Amps to it. I’m moving into a new house that has built in surround speakers 5.1, speakers for outdoor patio and speakers in main bedroom. I currently have 2 Sonos amps and 4 SL ones. How can I connect them all together?
Three months is all it took for Sonos Move to stop working. 3 MONTHS for a $450 speaker. Well they Sonos team replaced it with a refurbished speaker. Good job, Sonos team!My question to community is - Do you feel comfortable paying $450 for a brand new speaker from SONOS website and within 3 months getting your product replaced by a refurbished one. Are you okay with this customer service. I am not, and would appreciate your feedback.
I have 2 Sonos Amps and want to connect them to my Onkyo TX-NR6050 7.2-Channel AV Receiver. Do I need to buy a port to connect them all and control on my speakers?
First off, when I bought my Sonos One SL everything was fine out of the box with the old phone app. I loved it so much I bought 3 more, so I have 4 total Sonos One SL systems. When I was FORCED to upgrade to the new app, all hell broke loose and it’s never been the same. A quick look at the Google Play Store reviews section for the current Sonos app confirms that MANY people are having DISASTROUSLY TERRIBLE experiences with Sonos now.Originally I bought the system for my wife so she registered it and was the system owner/admin. When I had her move ownership to me, everything became literally unusable. The FOUR Sonos systems I own cannot be used at all.It appears you have some kind of heuristics based theft or hardware cloning protection that has kicked in viciously and rendered my products unusable.Possible trigger points:moving ownership to a new account geo-IP location in Eastern Europe 3 of the systems were sold at a U.S. military base exchange so they were “intended” for North
I just bought a Hisense U6GR TV (with Roku built in). I have an existing Sonos Playbar that was connected to another TV previously, with paired remote. I connected the Playbar to the new TV and the IR signal light blinked whenever I hit the volume buttons on the remote, but it didn’t control the volume on the Playbar. I went through the “Remote Control Setup” process on the Sonos S2 app and the app indicated the pairing was successful. As soon as the pairing was done, the Playbar IR signal light no longer blinked, indicating it wasn’t receiving an IR signal from the remote (and the volume isn’t changing). However, the TV is still being controlled by the remote. I then went through a factory reset on the Playbar. After the factory reset, the IR indicator light still doesn’t blink when using the remote, and I cannot complete the “Remote Control Setup” process on the Sonos S2 app. The remote still controls the TV just fine.My three hypotheses that could explain this behavior are:The IR rec
Hi allRecently purchased an iPad mini 6 as my old iPad mini 2 no longer supported any new iOS updates.I have made sure the iPad mini 6 has the latest software updates for itself and the Sonos app but it will not complete the Sonos trueplay procedure for my Arc, play 1’s and sub.The room is completely quiet but it won’t get past the first stage of trueplay due to sound interference yet if I use my iPhone XS trueplay is completed with no issues.Anyone have any ideas why this would be the case. Thanks Jason.
Hi groups, hope you are all well. I am looking for some advice if it is worth inserting a sub in my system. Now it is composed by a playbar and 2 SL.The main topic is where the sub will be installed (see pictures - and don't judge 😅 I just moved ) does it make sense to install a sub in a niche? (removing everithig of course) thanks in advance to anyone willing to answer ! Andrea

helloI plan to buy a sonos ray.I have a concern.I want to connect it to my Samsung smart monitor M7 pc screen. the monitor does not have an optical port it only has Hdmi Arc ports.the store near me sells the sonos ray and offers the sonos optical adapter with it and assures me that it allows you to do this:sonos ray -> adapter connected to the optical port -> hdmi cable connected to the hdmi port of the adapter -> hdmi cable connected to the hdmi arc port of the monitor. What do you think ? because I called sonos support who did not know what I was talking about.. thank you
Hi, Have an old iPad that I would like to use the XM streaming app to play over my Sonos system. It works on my newer iphone and 3rd party app but because the iPad is so old the Sonos app refused to run on it and thus can not connect to the system with that iPad. Is there a manually way to get the iPad to recognize the system? Thanks
