My Roam has stopped working. It has disappeared from the S2 app.
When plugged into mains charger, the amber light on the bottom is on.
When sitting on charger base, no lights show at all.
The white LED has stopped lighting.
I have tried reset (hold down play/pause, press and release power button on rear). This does nothing.
Any suggestions?
Are you using the Sonos Roam charging base or a third-party Qi charger?
Have you tried rebooting your phone and the Roam by following the steps below?
- Disconnect Roam from charging cables and remove it from wireless chargers.
- Hold the button on the back of Roam for at least five seconds until you hear the power-off tone and the light above the Sonos logo turns off.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Press the button on the back of Roam to turn it back on.
Hi there, I have the exact same problem with one of mine Sonos Roams.
I’ve tried the above, but it didn’t work.
I’ve also reset it to factory settings and carried out the seupt again to connect it to the Sonos app as if it was a new device.
Every step goes okay, no errors but when the configuration is complete, the white led on the front of the device (above the Sonos logo) lights up and stays on. But the white light at the microphone icon is off and never turns on.
The newly added Sonos also doesn’t appear in the Sonos app but when you switch it off, the Sonos app says ‘Unnamed Room Offline’.
When you select it, you cannot edit any details of the Roam.
My other Roam is working without issues, just as my Move.
Not sure if one Roam got an update and the other didn’t. But I cannot get it to work again.
