I just noticed today whilst playing from music I ripped onto my NAS that I am getting an “HD” icon on the screen. I looked at the Sonos blog and they mention HD music but then say there’s no accepted definition of what that means - sampling rate, bit depth etc. So I wonder what this is telling me or what criteria for showing the HD icon are?This file is FLAC 44.1KHz (There doesn’t seem a straightforward way to get bit depth in Mac OS).NB I tried another file I have and that is m4a and 44.1 KHz and also shows HD
Hello forum, I’m going crazy trying to solve the issues of the Sonos Arc constantly disconnecting from the TV eARC every power cycle and reverting to the internal speakers. Have tried every possible combination, enable, and disable without luck.Auto Power Cycle (ON and OFF) Auto Device Detection (ON and OFF) SIMPLINK (HDMI-CEC; ON) QuickStart+ for LG (ON and OFF) HDMI Ultra Deep Color (Enable and Disable) Instant Game Response (Enable and Disable) All HDMI Cables Tested HDMI cables connected to TV no luck HDMI cables disconnected except Sonos no luck HDMI-CEC setup only for the Sonos ARC eARC enabled I’m running out of options to test, is very disappointing and frustrating that a soundbar of 1000€ + 800€ sub is constantly required to setup every day to enjoy.Have run a diagnostic 303498386.System version 14.19 and LG TV updated to lasted software.(65NANO866)If anyone can help will be much appreciated.
Have a amp and cd player with decks in our dining room at the moment.. but would love a way to hear this in other rooms .. and replace the current alexa speakers .. Hi,I have a Sonos setup consisting of an Arc, Sub gen 3 + 2x One SL.My hearing in my left ear is less good than that in my right ear. So I would want to turn up to volume of the left surround speaker more compared to the right one.I don't see an option to do that. But maybe there is. Does somebody know?I can't physically move the left speaker closer to me to solve the issue.I tried achieving my goal in 2 ways:Not use Trueplay. Then configure the left surround at the maximum distance in the app (assuming this would cause the volume to be the loudest for it) and turn the setting for the right surround one to be closer. That didn't seem to make much difference, and I would also like to use Trueplay. I also tried using Trueplay, and after doing that turn Trueplay off for a second, and then configure the left + right surround as I did under number 1 above. After that turn Trueplay back on. That also didn't help.What I am looking for is just volume sliders per surround speaker - then I could
Hi everyone,I had multiple Sonos devices throwing error 30 this past week with the update to Sonos v14.9. I tried everything on this forum, including factory resets (about 20 times), unplugging all devices but one working device, plugging devices directly into router with ethernet, even trying to setup a new System in the app.Eventually I discovered the issue was due to using a CleanBrowsing DNS filter on my router. The solution was to go into my DNSFilter router settings, and override each of the affected Sonos devices to a “No Filtering” filter mode.With the DNS filter enabled, the system could see the updates but was unable to apply the update to the Sonos devices. Essentially the devices were bricked. When the filter is bypassed on each Sonos device, they are able to function and update as expected.Hope this helps someone else with similar issue.
I’ve had to turn my Sub (gen2) level down a couple of notches since 18.19. Anyone else hearing this? Was getting deep bass through the floor even on male voices and it was only on +2 which is normally perfect in my room.

Hello, I have a tv that has Arc but no eArc. I am thinking of buying a blu ray player that has an HDMI input only for audio (audio output only).Can I connect an HDMI cable from the blu ray player's audio output to the sonos beam 2 input to play uncompressed Atmos from UHD discs?I understand that the arc output of the tv cannot output audio with high bitrate such as atmos and others. So my only option is to output the audio from the player to the bar, and while it should work, I don't know for sure.Thanks and regards.
Hi there, I’m trying to figure out the best setup for my new home audio set up. I have13 Bestbuy Sonance ceiling speakers (4,5 zones). Most zones have 2 pairs. Some have 3. Sonos arc sb below TV. Will buy the Sonos sub behind the TV 2 of the ceiling speakers are in the tv room but they are front and back of the sofa 4 other ceiling speakers in the same zone in the kitchen open space to the living room Considering if I need the Sonos Ones for the TV All speakers wires, TV HDMI (arc) cables are ran in a media room.what do you guys recommend for the amplifier setup where I cancontrol all zone or each zone with Apple music independently Use the ceiling speakers in the kitchen + living room zone with the arc and sub for the best TV audio experience. Hi all, I have a challenge for you…I have a PS5 connecting to the game port on a Samsung Q90 TV and then the Q90 connecting to to a Sonos beam Gen 2 via the E-arc port. I have 2 x Play:1’s serving as surround speakers. I have the ps5 set to output the audio stream as bitstream to the TV. TV is set to “pass-through” on the audio settings. I am trying to play a blu-ray from the PS5 which I can see (from the PS5 screen) is outputting as LPCM 5.1, 48khz. However, when I look at the Sonos app it shows up as Stereo PCM, so it seems to be down mixing. If I put my ear really close to the rear surrounds I can just about hear a faint noise, but it’s not what you would call surround sound. Has anyone come across this? I think the config is okay - if I play a blu-ray from the ps5 using Dolby true-HD 5.1 it plays fine in all it’s surround sound glory and shows up on the sono app as True-HD. I am also getting good surround sound from Amazon Prime, so I think this problem is related to LPCM 5.1 only.

Hello, we are having problems connecting our new SONOS Beam Gen 2 to the Google home network and having the Sonos speaker as an option to connect with Google speakers throughout the house. second issue is when we talk to the Sonos speaker to play music it responses with cannot play because the speaker isn’t available.
Hi, keep seeing all the deals for 20% off subs etc… sadly I cannot partake- my entire system (6 plus units) is Gen 1 so a pointless purchase as don’t want to run on two separate systems… frustrated Sonos owner as I want one but can’t afford the system upgrade… any ideas? Hi, been using Sonos many years and I frequently use the Sonos app to play my purchased content from Amazon Music. After the recent prime library change, only the first 50 or so of my songs load in the purchased content section of the Amazon Music integration in Sonos app. Searching for songs I own outside of the first 50 alphabetical on Amazon do not show either. I have reauthorized and that didn't help. Anyone else having this issue? How do I resolve?
once a mini sub is bonded with a beam how does it appear as an airplay speaker. Can I airplay just the sub with other airplay speakers or will the beam come with it?

Hi! I’m in the process of changing over to Sonos from a more traditional system and have connected my Apple Music account which is what I use to stream 90% of our music. Is there a way to “thumbs down” a song using the Sonos app so it gets skipped and doesn’t play again?
I accessed Spotify premium through my Sonos app and created an extensive Sonos playlist. While I can easily access my Sonos/Spotify playlist while running my Sonos app at home, there is no way to see/access my playlist solely through Spotify while I am away from home. Since I can access Spotify through Sonos, and visa versa, while on my home network, I should be able to access my playlist through Spotify while away from my home network. Per Sonos support, there is no way to do this. Does anyone know how to access a Sonos playlist, created through Spotify, using the Spotify app when I am away from my Sonos system?
