Hi I want to connect my turntable to Sonos Beam Gen 2, sub mini & 2 x Sl's.  I have two questions 1. I currently have turntable connected to vintage marantz amp to external speakers.  I no longer want to use external speakers but want to connect to my Sonos surround setup.  My turntable has pre-amp & I have connect gen 2. Will connecting connect gen 2 to my marantz amp improve sound over connecting directly to turntable?Question 2. I'm new to Sonos so do I connect the turntable (Connect gen 2) to my current setup entitled lounge (TV surround sound) or should I set up another group titled turntable with same speakers? Hope that makes sense.Help much appreciated.

Hi.I own two Sonos Play:5 (Gen 2) speakers. As a stereo pair.Would they be compatible with the Sub (Gen 3)?Thanks

Hi, Hello I have a set Sonos Beam; Sonos OneG2. My question is : I want to set up surround sound, does it have to be two Sonos OneG2 and Sonos Beam or could it be Sonos Beam, Sonos OneG2 and Sonos One SL ? thank you very much for your help in this matter. 

Hi there,  I have just got the Sonos ARC and the audio format I get is Dolby Multichannel PCM 5.1 but no Dolby atmos. My tv Philip 58PUS8556/12 support Dolby Atmos, the hdmi is connected in the e-arc and enable it. I have tried several times with different films without success, Can anyone assist me? thanks

Seen a few answers for this but i’d like one from Sonos.When will Trueplay be available & work on an iPhone Se 2 ?I have tried setting this up with an older iPhone 8 still would n’t happen.I have the latest version of the app & all software.

Does the One SL go to sleep when not in use?  

I'm thinking about setting up a Sonos system in my master bedroom to drown out traffic noise. The idea would be to connect a streaming device via Bluetooth and play loud but peacefull sounds, like rainstorms, waterfalls, etc. I do this already with a small sound machine and it works ok but would really like to totally surround the bed and have flexibity in what I play.I am assuming that I don't really need any bass for this and wondering what type of Sonos system would work and how many speakers/ what equipment I would need. Note there is no TV in the room.

Inherited a Sonos Playbase, but i don't know how to set it up. Any help is welcome. I do have it working with a Sony TV, but cant seem to get it connected to the wifi. i do have the ability to plug it into ethernet.

Hi.  I have been using my S1 App for quite some time now as the majority of my system is quite old.  However I have recently been gifted a new Roam SL which is S2 compatible only.  Now, I know I can split the system for S1 and S2 systems (and if I have read it correctly, it is really only my Play 5 that won’t work with the new S2 app) and I am happy to set up two systems.  However my question is this.  Can the speakers that I move across to the S2 app (Play 1s, SYMFONISKs, Playbar) also be added back into the S1 app?  IN other words, when I use my Play 5 with my turntable, can I have those S1 compatible speakers on both SONOS systems?

Bonjour je souhaite connecter ma tv à mon ampli amp connect. Est il possible de relier la tv au départ de la sortie optique de la tv à un convertisseur audio numérique vers analogique pour se rebrancher a l'ampli au RCA. Est ce que ca fonctionnerait, le son pourrait il aller sur les enceintes?Cdt 

With the last update, the sound on my Port has changed.I use the analog outputs with variable volume control and uses the EQ and loudness and the Port is connected directly to a power amplifier, with large floor speakers.I don't have an Arc or Beam, but to me it sounds like Port now have the same Enhanced Clarity sound profile !I am not satisfied with this because I believe a product like the Port should not add a sound signature to the sound, it should play with a complet neutral sound.I can understand Sonos will have a sound signature on their speakers, but not on the Port.I think it must be a mistake, that this sound change update, has been sent to the Port. 

I have an old TV that doesn’t pass through 5.1 sound through ARC.(Yes, time for upgrading TV, but let’s not get into that here.)I noticed that some of other brands’ soundbars have HDMI input and output, which will solve my problem.Does any of Sonos’ soundbars have HDMI input and output?I’ve done some research and it doesn’t look like they do. Want to confirm.

Hello everyone,I am the owner of a 65-inch Samsung RU8000 (2019 edition). I would like to buy a Sonos Beam (Gen 2) to experience a better audio and the Dolby Atmos experience.The soundbar will be connected through HDMI ARC.Before buying, I would like to understand:1) The compatibility between my TV and the soundbar: are they fully compatible? Will the soundbar turn on automatically when I turn o the tv? Can I control the soundbar using the same TV remote?2) What are the limitations of my TV in audio terms. For this purpose, I attach you a picture found in this forum about the audio characteristics of my TV. Could you please help me to better understand what can I get from the combination of RU8000 with Sonos Beam (Gen 2)?As far I have understood, I can get dolby atmos only from Netflix and Prime. But what will be the "experience" with other sources (for instance, for normal TV or by using a Bluray external source)? Will the soundabar work with them?Thank you very much for any help you

I was looking at upgrading my Play3 using the upgrade programme. I added the device to the programme - but now I have changed my mind and would like to keep my play3. How do I remove this.

Hello, sonos beam does connected via the HDMI arc por to a Samsung tv ue55. Tv does not recognizes the Sonos beam. Tried to set up via the Sonos app and the test is failing. It seems the tv cannot recognize the Sonos beam.  I have connected via the optical connection and it is working, I would prefer to do it via the HDMI arc, any help? thanks in advance 

I have a 2022 Sonos Arc, Sub, 2x Rear One SL speakers in the TV Area.When grouping the Sonos Five in the kitchen or Sonos One SL in the Bedroom, both these speakers are cutting out.This only happens when listening to sound through the TV. (YouTube, regular TV channels etc).It does not happen when listening to Spotify through the Sonos app. When speaking to Sonos customer service for the 3rd time this week about the issue, the 3rd person has now confirmed it is not possible to play sound from the TV through more than the Arc, Sub and 2x SL rear speakers (5.1 surround set up).Any speakers grouped outside of the 5.1 set up will get this intermittent cutting out. I have even tried Ethernet directly into these speakers from the router. Which I suspect the Sonos Boost will replicate if purchased. Sometimes it can work without issues and sometimes it’s really bad. I have just bought a Sonos arc to upgrade from a beam. Can I put the beam in another room on another TV, and use them at the same time to watch different channels ?

When will the Sonos app start supporting Android better?  I can't add devices on my Samsung Galaxy S20 with the most recent OS and most recent app versions as of 11/2022 but have no problem with the app on an old iPad.  It's very frustrating. 

An old TV has only HDMI IN and Digital Audio Out ports. What adapter or connection method can convert the TV sound to Dolby Atmos by connecting the Sonos Beam soundbar? Thank you for your answer.

Vivo en una casa de 3 pisos y tengo 2 dispositivos en el primero y 2 en el tercero, pero la señal de wifi del router principal no llega al tercero y por ese motivo tengo repetidores de señal wifi, pero el mismo tiene diferente nombre.hay alguna forma de que los parlantes se puedan conectar a todos los repetidores de señal y funcionen tocando la música en los 3 pisos??muchas gracias 

I would love to add a speaker outside in my backyard.  Will Roam connect to my Sonos Sound System so that whatever I am playing inside is heard outside on the Roam as well??

Bonjour Quel enceintes filaires pour un sonos Amp? je souhaite mettre 2 enceintes encastrées plafond et 2 murales pour un bar restaurant et donc la même musique sur les 4 enceintesquel puissance en watt max chaque enceinte et pour le tout?et il faut bien que les 4 enceintes soit sous 8 Ohms?Bonne journée

System working fine this am & then it just stopped. Logged back in & only 1 room shows as avail. I have inside & outside. Unplugged everything & got a message to add a new net work & now I am here for 40 mins. It will not let me escape. Any assistance will greatly appreciated! 

We are working on a feature on Sonos S2 device and some of our changes are impacting Sonos S1, as the same SMAPI are getting invoked for both S1 and S2.Is there any incoming string like version or something similar that will help us distinguish between S1 and S2.
