After moving into my first apartment 2 years ago, i invested in getting a sonos system in every room after hearing how nice it is to have linked music throughout your living space. I bought 3 sonos SL1s, 2 beams, and sonos port. I use 2 of the SL1s as my surround speakers for my entertainment system (which are being fed audio from my entertainment system via sonos port) and i have had serious delay time issues with this. It has created a delay which i cannot correct within my sony amp/reciever… Even when delaying my main tower speakers to the maximum, and setting delay on the sonos to the minimum, the delay on the sonos speakers is still WAY behind the rest of my system…. That is a whole different problem. But the main issue is that spotify refuses to work with my system no matter what i do. I have reinstalled all services, reconnected all the speakers from scratch, restarted my router, and still have the same issues. Picked up a pair of 300’s last week to replace my Symfonisk bookshelfs as my surrounds. Before setting them up I spent the night at a friends house and just set them up as a stereo pair. Played some spatial audio from Apple Music and it was mind blowing how incredible they sounded. It filled an entire room as if there were speakers in every corner. It was like magic. It made listening music fun in a way I have never experienced outside of being at a concert. Fast forward to bringing them home and setting them up as my new rears to my Arc and Sub set up. They somehow sounded worse than the Symfonisks. And I did Trueplay multiple times just to be sure. I get that its a “different” approach to surrounds but after hearing what they’re capable of as a stereo pair I can’t, for the life of me, understand how a set of speakers costing the same as an Arc sound like this as surrounds. They also seem to have a choppy audio if you put your ears close to the speaker to hear what it’s really doing.

I have two feature requests for the Sonos app.Night Sound popup window - I use the Night Sound feature every night and I feel it’s not necessary for a popup window to remind me of the feature’s benefits every single time I use it. Perhaps the popup shows the first couple times and then disappears. When I turn it off, I don’t need a window telling me I turned it off. Sub Audio & Night Sound - I’d love the ability to have the Sub turn off automatically when I engage Night Sound. Hi I have a couple of Play3’s which have served me well. I am looking to add similar in another room . I’m quite happy with the sound from the Play 3’s so what is the best current product match . ? Im thinking ERA 100 or possibly 300 ?Any advice ?

I’m an Android user and I’m considering switching to Apple Music from Spotify but one of the biggest things stopping me is that within the Spotify app, I can bring up the devices list and play to any of the Sonos speakers in my house. Is there a way to do this with Apple Music or do I have to use the Sonos app?

Hello to all,I have a Beam Gen2 + SUb Mini I use the system for music + home theaterI use Amazon Fire Stick 4 Ultra HD that it seems should give DOlby Atmos (on “sound diagnostic”) but:I get the badge “Dolby Atmos” on some Disney+ movies Don’t get the badge “Dolby Atmos” badge on Netflix and Prime movies (same title has the badge on other account)So, i played a movie in Disney+ with “Dolby Atmos” badge….and can’t feel it...is there a way I can check that the sound is effectively “Dolby Atmos”???Sonos diagnostic : 353337923 Please help!My TV supports DOlby Atmos….  

I have a few suggestions regarding search function in the app, and the search engine itself.  Using S2 on current ios devices or windows desktop app, sonos software up to date.current search in music library is “literal” and only works on exact text matches.  Some of my albums/tracks show “piano concerto” and some show “concerto for piano”, and if I input “piano concerto”  only tracks with that in the track text appear.  In itunes, and most other music apps, if I search for “piano concerto”, both show up. when I use the sonos app to search spotify, I can use “piano concerto”, “concerto for piano” or “concerto piano” spotify shows the same results, apparently doing an implict “and”, not simply a literal match. possible addition of boolean search so “and” and “or” can be used, or perhaps , or + operators there is no search from the edit playlist page in the app, where I would most like to perform a search. there doesn’t appear to be a way to search for a combination of artist and track.

Sur ma Sony xh90 je peux choisir d'utiliser les enceintes de la TV ou un système audio externe.Quand je sélectionne dans mes réglage de retourner sur les enceintes de la TV ça fonctionne 2 seconde puis la BEAM reprend le dessus.Quelqu'un a déjà eu ce problème ?Merci.

I have Arc  + 2 Sonos One Sl as rear speakers + Sub Woofer (Gen 3).When listening to music via Airplay or Radio, can I turn off ARC and use 2 Sonos One Sl + Sub to listen in stereo mode?

I recently replaced all my HomePods with the new Era 100 and 300 speakers. For the most part, everything is better… except audio normalisation. I found some ancient threads on this issue (and also on Spotify forums), so I know I’m not imagining things. I use Spotify but I believe it also happens with Apple Music.So it’s great not to have to struggle with AirPlay and a whole host of other volume issues that now the lack of normalisation is really the biggest complaint I have now. It’s annoying to have to adjust volume from time to time when playing a varied playlist. When using Spotify over AirPlay, it works fine. Spotify over Spotify Connect doesn’t work right.I realise this is probably a Spotify issue but perhaps you could put some pressure on them to do whatever they need to do. It’s a feature music players have had since the early 2000s in my recollection (SoundCheck in Apple iTunes).CheersChris

Hi All. I currently have a stereo pair of 8 year old play 1s in the kitchen I want to upgrade. I’m trying to figure out if I was best off replacing them with a pair of Era 100 or a single Era 300. Would be great to hear from people who use a single Era 300. 

Hi, I have a BenQ x3000i projector connected to my Arc and I would like to control the volume using the remote.  However, it will not pair.  I have seen this issue on the forum previously, but the answer did not help.  Previously, The Arc will pair with my Firestick remote, but not the BenQ which is an IR remote.  So, I know that the Arc is capable of pairing through the projector, but not with this particular remote.  Any clues.  In the past, I have had no trouble pairing remotes, just this particular one.  Thank you for any help. John

I am having problems with a number of files from Spotify and Audible.This is not a duplicate question, because the problem always occurs at the same place in the files. It is not random or intermittent. Specific files always fail at the same place.i am using a Port as my player.

Because the website just says ‘delete and re-install’. Does Sonos think this is an adequate solution? It’s not.

I just updated flawlessly to S2 & V12. Are SMB shares with v2 or better v3 supported by now?

I have a Ray, 2 Ones, and an Era 100. What is the best way to set them up? The Ray is in front of the tv, the Ones on the right side, the Era on the left by where I sit. If I try towatch a movie, the sound is boomy and echoic, can’t hear clear dialog. Please help. I am also new to Sonos, love the speakers, think the set up requirements and the user guide aren;t worth s--t, If ever a company needs to incorporate Chat GBT, Sonos does.

Now that .Net 7 has shipped and MAUI is becoming increasingly visible and viable, are there any long term plans at Sonos to leverage these technologies?It is now possible to create a single .Net Sonos platform library that handles all of the device management and UPnP stuff that can be then be reused across Windows, Android, iOS, macOS and now Tizen (Samsung TVs and so on), one could then support a Sonos app on all these platforms.What do Sonos think of these technologies and the viability of developing a Sonos software ecosystem based on .Net?I got a basic controller app built a few years ago that ran on Microsoft Phone and Surface (back when it was all about “Store Apps”) and created a pretty sophisticated C# class library for managing UPnP, so I know that this is certainly technically feasible, all that code was for .Net Framework too, with .Net Core and SDK projects today this kind of development is much easier. 

Hi Guys, I need some help to do the right set up for my house currently under construction.I d like to use in ceiling sonos for most of the rooms + home cinema (in ceiling only) and rock speakers for outside. all linked to AMPs . Starting with the underground, i have a room where i d have 4 in-ceiling speakers + 1 AMP- see belowAll the AMPs would be in racks in a separate roomThen on the main floor I d have 2 inside zones: 1 for the Kitchen/living room in purple (1AMP) + 1 zone for the home cinema. Has anyone found a fix for sound cutting off when streaming BBC radio stations from another source?IE live radio streamed via Roon or Logitech media server the sound will blip off every few seconds , however when played via the Sonos app its fine.However if I use a newer speaker via Airplay I don't have and issues.Is it simply the processing power of these speakers?

Elle reconnaît bien ma voix et me réponse "voici une playlist pour enfant" et puis rien et ce peu importe la demande de musique que je demande.Elle fait comme si elle lançait la musique mais pas de son....  J ai tout remis comme usine puis refait toute l installation. I’ve been having terrible trouble playing music from my Synology NAS the last few days.It will play a bit of song then cut out, skip to the next, then give up entirely. In the NAS logs it says:Host [192.168.x.x] failed to connect via [SMB] due to [SMB1 not permitted].Reading some older forum posts it says that Sonos now uses SMB2, so why is this error coming up all of a sudden?Is there a way to check if Sonos is using it, or force Sonos to use only SMB2?(incidentally, I tried enabling SMB1 on the NAS temporarily, and it made no difference).

I have Sonos amps and speakers installed throughout the house.  In one room the Sonos Connect is installed so that I can listen to music through my higher-end stereo system.  The Connect is connected to a Pre/Pro controller via a coax cable.  When listening to music though this set up I have to greatly increase the volume on the pre/pro and also have to increase the volume on the Sonos app to get to normal listening levels.  How do I change settings within Sonos so that I don’t have to increase the volume so much?ALSO, and this is the crazy part,  when adjusting the volume I inadvertently turned off my 5 channel power amp but I could still hear the music coming out of my speakers.   How is that possible? If I change the input on the pre/pro to my laptop and use Windows Media Player to play a song and I turn off the power amp there’s no music.Thanks in advance for any help and guidance.

I have a five, and we’re putting in a kitchen in a large area. Am I better to get:x2 era 100 and stereo them? x1 era 300 and utilise the dolby sound another 5 because I love it (but it’s quite big!) and stereo them? or is this overkill?I have x2 ones, a sub and an arc set up in the next room as a surround sound system, and a couple of roams that fit in pretty much wherever I need them. The kitchen system will be static and high enough that I won't be using the controls on them. I run IOS from phone or macbook Thanks :)
