Recently purchased the Sub (Gen 3) and noticed that the plastic at the top of the sub seems to stick out on one side.  Is this a common quality problem?  

It’s a quality issue for the sub you purchased but not for Sonos subs overall. I’d return it to the retailer or if purchased direct from Sonos contact them. They’ll probably ask for pictures. Sonos is very good at taking care of the customer involving manufacturing defects.
