I currently use Play 1s as my surrounds with the arc and sub gen 3. I live in a condo and have an open concept floor plan with the dining room to the left of the sofa. I heard that the era 300s rely on bouncing sounds off the walls. Would it be better to stick with what I have now or would the era 300 still be an upgrade? This is a picture of the room
Hello, I tried many times to add the Soundcloud account with no success. After the message 'Soundcloud is now set up on Sonos' and the invitation to go back to the Sonos app, the latter actually informs me that there is a 'connection error - there was a problem adding the soundcloud account'. For info, I was able to add the Spotify account. The discussion in other threads did not help unfortunately.
The spouse uninstalled and installed the Sonos and during that process the upgrade to S2 happened and I did not want that to happen. GRRRRR As my play 5 is not compatiable. So, I’ve moved on from that situation/frustration and have decided to continue to use S2 instead of S1 after resetting most of my speaker/sub/boost (which is a lot) and trying to downgrade back to S1. This is where the frustration turns to Sonos! This should not be that difficult. On the to problem:In my effort to rebuild my Sonos environments/rooms in S2 there are two speakers that were working just the day before the spouse unknowingly updated everything to S2 that will not connect to my S2. The reason they are not connecting is because they will not reset…. I follow the steps as I did with the numerous other speakers; however, these two will not turn to flashing green - I still tried to add them anyway and S2 does pick them up and goes through the step to add them only to have a hard stop at the speaker s
We are remolding a house we will move into and we just finished our outdoor pool and looking at getting the Sonance 8.1 outdoor system and then also have Sonos bluetooth speakers in various rooms inside. I would like to have all this on the same Sonos App where I can control it all together, or use different music in different areas. And then I’ll combine the app to Google home to control it with voice. I have searched for hours for this answer. Hoping someone can help me out so I buy the right products! Thank you in advance!
I have this issue on one phone. it struggles to find the rooms, when it does find the rooms it then won't connect. All other devices my partners iPhone, iPads, computers work fine. But this is the thing….this problem only applies to my iPhones going back over 3 maybe 4 handsets so is it something to do with the software passing onto each new handset when I do the changeover?Help. Very annoying. Current handset is iPhone 13.Thank you
Have just upgraded from Sonos One surrounds to Era 300 and checking placement. Doesn’t sound as prominent as I’d expect. Anything I can do to improve it?
I consider to buy Sonos 1 sl to set up a multi room system in my Appartement.i want to fix the Sonos on the ceiling. Do you now if the “standard”wall support are ok for this of so I need to buy special support ? Thanks
I tried a search but couldn’t quite get what I was looking for, so quick question if I may. I have house full of Sonos gear (Arc, 4xPlay1’s, Play 3, Gen3 sub, 2xRoams, and a new Port), however I also have a Yamaha amp, turntable (with external pre-amp) and two wired speakers. I’d like to be able to connect that system to the Sonos sub. Is this possible using the Port. I just can’t get my head around if / how it could work. I’m happy to connect the turntable to the Port if that works somehow.
I purchased two Moves with the intent of creating a stereo pair of portable speakers. Fine on WiFi. Bluetooth is a whole different story. I should have paid closer attention to the specifications - specifically the FAQ. The whole point of getting two Moves was to take my music outside and on the road where there is no WiFi. I am very disappointed in Sonos at the moment. There is an old guideline in product design/development: if you can’t do something fully and completely to what the average customer will expect, don’t do it until you can. To the Sonos engineers and product management folks: engineering a pair of speakers to work as a stereo pair over bluetooth is very possible and has been accomplished many times. I have a pair of very high quality JBL Flip4s which work nicely in stereo mode while connected to my phone in Bluetooth mode. They do this by pairing the streaming device to one of the speakers and then connecting the two speakers to each other so that the one drives the oth
I am unable to see Tidal under the Services list when I try to add Music Services. I live in UAE and Tidal is available in the country. My Connect and Sonos app are updated to the latest versions. What could be the issue ?
I know the Roam has Battery Saver and Wifi Power Saver, but it should have the ability to choose to complete power it off after lets say 30min.If i power it off and keep it in the charger stand, it will indicate on Sonos app that it is off and not response, while it still charges to full and stay off.I dont need it to be “online” all the time like the rest of my Sonos One system, and it should have a feature like that, to also save the battery in the long run, and not force me to have to remember to turn it completely off.
Hi, ive got a Sonos Beam (Gen1) and a REL sub (Active Sub with Line-In). The Beam has no output sockets, and my LG OLED TV only lets me use 1 sound output at a time, hence i’m using HDMI arc currently to the Sonos Beam I see a Sonos Connect (not the amp version) has a ‘sub line out’ which i assume will allow me to get the sub working. However i’m confused, how does the Sonos Connect get a line-in (the actual sound feed), or does the sonos software use its magic and take it from the network cable and see the Beam on the network and play the music in sync via the sub? please advise/help if you can please before i commit to buying a Sonos Connectthanks
Hello Sonos Community! This is my first post to this forum and I hope you can help. I’m trying to figure out my best next upgrade. I mostly use my Sonos and audio set up for listening to vinyl records. It’s a somewhat entry-level set up and sounds good. But now that I’ve built up my vinyl collection, I feel like I”m at a point where I’d like to upgrade but I’m not sure where I should invest. Here are my specs:Turntable: Audio-Technica AT-LP60X Receiver: Marantz SR-48mk Sonos equipment: Connect - connected to receiver and turntable (Two) Play:5 (Gen 1) - set up in stereo in the living room Play:3 - set up on the other side of the living room One - set up in kitchen Other speakers: Bose 201 Series III - set up on dinning room, which is in between living room and kitchen,. Connected to Receiver. What’s my best next upgrade? Will upgrading the Sonos Amp make a significant difference? Or should I invest elsewhere? Thanks!
I currently have a 2014 Samsung TV that’s on its way out. It has an HDMI Arc port plus 3 regular HDMI ports. My Beam is connected to the HDMI Arc, and SkyQ & Firestick to regular HDMI ports. My current set up works perfectly well with no issues, lypsync or sound quality etc but I’m looking for a tv with eArc to enable Atmos but want to be sure on compatibility and avoid potential issues.Recommendations on tv’s to suit my set up would be greatly appreciated (without spending a small fortune). I was thinking Samsung or Sony. Thanks in advance.
Hi there, looking to install a Sonos system where I can hard wire a number of speaks in different rooms, any suggestions on what system I should purchase? thanks
Hey Sonos Community,I'm on a mission to upgrade my two-story house with an epic Sonos speaker setup. Picture seamless multi-room audio flowing through both levels. Any suggestions for the best speaker configuration? Eyeing Sonos One, Play:5, Beam, but open to ideas. Consistent audio quality matters, and immersive sound in some rooms is a thought. Budget's a factor too. If you've tackled a similar challenge or know the drill, your insights are pure gold. Excited to create a harmonious home audio haven.
I have an old Toshilba TV - 10 years old at least. No ARC connection, also the Optical output is old style and does not fit with the cable provided. Is there another solution to adding my Beam to the TV ? Best solution is a new TV, but this one has great picture and nothing wrong with it.
Anybody got experience of using TP Link as the sole Ethernet connection to their Sonos system? Is it stable, reliable and an improvement on a wifi only Sonos set up?Many thanks
I have an Arc, Gen3 Sub and 2 Era300s. I sit about 10’-12’ from the screen, almost against a back wall. The two 300s sit about 1’ from the back of my head, off to the sides and about 5’ from me. Can you tell me in which direction the 300s should be facing?
Every app I have tried to play podcasts from through Sonos Immediately goes back to 1x speed once connected to my Sonos speakers. I don’t want to have to return my Sonos if I don’t have to, Is there any solution for this? I am currently using my $2k+ sound system only half the time because I can’t listen to podcasts or Audible at faster than 1x speed. This is not just a nice to have feature, but something one would assume the system can do before buying.
I have 8 Sonos products all first generation (Play1,Play 3,Play 5, Connect etc) as well as one Sonos 1 speaker. I use a Sonos 1 Controller and am satisfied. My Sonos 1 was reconfigured so I can use my Sonos 1 Controller. My wifi was recently changed and my question is: If I factory reset all my speakers except for the Sonos 1, when I get connected to the new wifi can I then add the Sonos 1 without having to factory reset it. I ask this because I think if I factory reset the Sonos 1 it will revert back to it’s original configuration (which will not work with my Sonos 1 Controller. Please advise.
Please add local music libraries to the new search. And please commit to keeping the ability to listen to our own music libraries in future.Like many other Sonos users, I have a lot of music which is not available on any streaming service. I want to be able to keep listening to it.(Right now, both new search and classic search are functionally ‘broken’ for me. New search doesn’t include my music library and classic search no longer includes Spotify. What I like about Sonos is the ability to use both - and now I can’t.)
Hey, I have found all Music Services have disappeared overnight, apart from Last.FM. Search is blank, too. I tried to connect to the Spotify App on my phone but the device will not. I have followed the online support guidance including resetting app etc., but nothing. Has anyone else seen this?
What tagging/configuration is required to get Compilation Albums to display the artist in the tracklist?Controller version iPhone current as of Aug-17-2023Already tried numerous adding/removing/alternate tags:Currently using previous suggestions:ALBUMARTIST=VariousCompilation=1 or yesremoved Album Artistwith and removed Discwith and removed TrackPlenty of 9 year old articles and KBs that simply do not work. Also, is this issue a per device (mine is iPhone), per file format (FLAC and MP3), per library server (plain old SMB NAS) issue ? Huge fan of my Play 5’s but the S1 and S2 software is (let’s face it) not great.
I am actually looking for sales advice, or a recommendation. I am trying to determine the best setup for my back patio. In my living room I have an ARC + a sub and a pair of One SL’s for surround. I also have another room set with a port for my LP & CD’s. I also have a Roam that is a weak fix for my outdoor or garage use now..We recently installed a new patio with covered area for an outdoor living and dining area. Winters can be unpredictable in Boise, so I have not decided if I should install an amp with outdoor speakers or go with a Move - however I am buying a TV cart so I can watch sports outside until the weather gets gnarly, and then wheel it inside. Which would bring something like a Ray + sub mini as a possibility. I do not need super loud outdoors, just efficient sound that is mostly used for music, but also able to connect to the second TV. I am trying to determine what will best suit my needs and am looking for recommendations for the best direction. I am not even fam
