Hi friends,Name is Johnny, a severely disabled guy retired in a nursing home in W--s--M. After many trials with voice and bluetooth speakers and not enjoying them, I found an old Sonos zone player covered in dust at the back of a 2nd hand shop, literally going for a song!:). Struggled home with it in my wheelchair (weighs 5kg!), cleaned it and installed s1 app. After doing a factory reset, the app found the speaker 1st time, connected to the home's secure WiFi and performed a system update faultlessly. After adding my music service and alll my fav radio stations to the app and ticking the uncompressed setting, I enjoyed a wonderful and varied 6hr listen, which helps with my pain and discomfort, without a hint of strain, and not one WIFI dropout:).Yes I know, the audio is not as good as the later models, or high res, nor is it supported anymore. However, For a beguiling and gentle long listen, there are few to match even an old Sonos:). So if your budget is tight please don't dismiss t

The AMP connects to the TV using ARC which means it should be able to receive a higher quality audio signal from streaming and local media.Even the first generation Sonos Beam supports it, yet the more expensive AMP does not. Is there any reason why this is the case?DD+ is vastly superior to DD, and considering most people who have the AMP pair higher end bookshelf speakers with the device, we should have the option to listen to DD+. What do you guys thing?
Hello, I have been using my Beam on my Samsung TV for over a year and it has been great. Now there is no sound coming from my Beam. who I disconnect the HDMI Arc, the TV speakers start working. when I connect the HDMI, it says that the Beam has been successfully connected. None of my other HDMI ports have anything connected to them...only the Beam. Any help would be great.
Hey Sonos support, please note that the string table for PowerApp has invalid xml in it. Specifically this:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><!--rev numbers are to be ignored, and should not be used.--><stringtables xmlns="http://sonos.com/sonosapi"><stringtable rev="1" xml:lang="en-US"> <string stringId="ServicePromo">PowerApp - Unlimited Music & Video</string> <string stringId="Button_Register">Sign up For PowerApp</string> <string stringId="Button_Login">I already have an account</string> <string stringId="Error5Message">Access token not found, retry</string></stringtable><stringtable rev="1" xml:lang="da-DK"> <string stringId="ServicePromo">PowerApp - Unlimited Music & Video</string> <string stringId="Button_Register">Sign up For PowerApp</string> <string stringId="Button_Login">I already have an account</string> <string stri

I have a Samsung TV (UA55ES7500M purchased in 2013) with a Sonos Arc soundbar purchased a year ago, connected to a Sonos Amp (with Silver brand speakers). The HDMI (arc) connection has been working perfectly, since I installed the Arc.Three days ago (1 sep) it stopped working and the sound output defaulted to the TV speakers. A TV factory reset restored the sound output connection to the HDMI (arc) port and sound again came through the arc sound bar. However after the next TV power off/on, the TV sound output again defaulted to the TV speakers. Here is a very strange thing. If I manually change the TV sound output to the HDMI(arc) port, the sound is played through the arc soundbar - I.e. it actually works but ONLY on 2 free to air TV channels (12 and 15) plus the internet app Samsung TV channels. I have checked this several times and channels 12 and 15 have sound via the sound bar but none of the other free to air channels have sound via the sound bar.Does anyone have any ideas? My sus
Hi guys I'm looking for some input on how to correctly set up my media setup (unfortunately I'm a bit of a noob in this area). So the situation I have is as following I have a range of media devices (ps4, Nvidea shied, Calbe box, ...) and 2 output devices A Samsung 4K earc enabled tv and a formovie theatre 4k earc enabled short throw. The audio is connected to a sonos system (earc).Everything works fine if I connect a single input to a single output and the earc out of either the tv or the ultra short throw to the earc sonos. My goal is to buy some devices that enable me to switch easily between those devices and stream to the desired output device (they never play at the same time). (the switch boxes are displayed on the schema in orange - yet to be bought).I would obviously prefer a single remote/device to orchestrate this : aka select desired input and output with it's respective earc to the sonos. Does such a device exist or any tips on how to set this up?Any help on this would be gr
This AM, with no changes to my set-up for months. The TV sound stopped via ARC/HDMI to Beam. I have read all the other sets/resets ect ect. I went into TV settings and changed Dolby Digital Plus to Dolby Digital or PCM and the sound came back.Is this now a fault with the beam as obviously the TV is sending a signal. Thoughts
I cannot see two of my Sonos products in the app. I created a stereo pair last evening, with two ERA 100s. It sounds fantastic. Now, I am outside and want to be able to check battery status, etc of my Sonos roams. How can I do this, as the only thing I see in the app is my bedroom group with the speakers I set up last night. The roams are in a group called portable.
I’ve just setup a system with two Roams as a stereo pair on a Wi-Fi network, but during play back sound only comes out of the left hand speaker. They display as connected in the controller app and the control buttons on both speakers work as expected, it’s just that one speaker is silent :-(.I suspected there might have been a hardware issue with the actual speakers inside the device, but I connected to it with Bluetooth and it plays fine. Looking around in the controller app there’s a balance control in the EQ settings, but it’s set to 0 (the middle) by default. Moving it left makes no difference, but moving it right makes everything quiet with it going silent at +20R.So is this some firmware bug? Or has something gone wrong with my setup that a reset would fix? Any help appreciated.
I had to get rid of my beloved Beam 2 and it’s only partly Sonos’ fault.Ran into the problem with LG TVs not supporting DTS anymore, not even a passthrough. As an avid physical media collector I have maybe 100 movies with DTS audio coding but when playing them through my LG TV the sound is cutting out. Just skips every few minutes for a second or so. It’s most likely due to my player (Sony UBP-X700) decoding the track to PCM on the fly and not being able to keep up.The solution would be to plug my Blu-Ray player directly to my Beam but alas, Sonos soundbars lack an HDMI-in connection. So this is just one customer’s feedback so that the Sonos team registers a demand for multiple HDMI connections in their soundbars. Maybe if there are enough of us the Sonos team takes notice.
Hi there, I know it has been discussed several time in here, but just want to be updated. Is there a way to use several Sonos Five speakers as PA. is there a way to reduce that 75ms lag in the audio output? Thank you for your consideration. I can try this with SOnos beam or SOnos AMP.
Hi Community, since years there is no way to play songs form a local mp3 library and simultaneously show the lyrics that are saved in the mp3 metadata. There are several threads in this forum where this missing feature has been discussed but never has been solved by Sonos.I wonder why this simple feature isn’t implemented until today. Listen to your favourite song and reading the lyrics could be very helpful for all non native english speaking customers.I don’t talk about lyrics from other music services like Spotify. Just simple display the lyrics from mp3 metadata - like title and cover. Maybe there’s a chance that you mark this as a new request. Thanks, Markus.
Bonjour Est-il possible de couper l’alimentation de la Beam ou faut-il la débrancher ?
I want to have pre-named groups like “Upstairs”, “Downstairs”, “Whole house” etc. Coming from Google Chromecast, I really miss this feature.
I have more than 20 Sonos speakers finally working together in our home. For a vacation rental next week I’d like to take a couple of speakers for use there. I have one Move and know that w its Bluetooth, I could easily use that without messing with any rental WiFi matters. Does the Move provide a means to incorporate additional Sonos speakers? Or is it the usual process of taking an Ethernet cable and hoping for success w the rental’s router?Would a « travel router » be a good idea to purchase and take with us?And lastly, if we set up a new Sonos network at the rental, will that negatively affect out home’s network when we return and set up our speakers to work again with the residence setup?
My system (running on Sonos Net) has been stable for about a year. For no reason, no WLAN changes etc. the r/h stereo pair (Play3 - deats below), keeps ”forgetting” its paired status and no music will play thru it. The L/H speaker works fine, whilst still paired. If I break the pair I can play music thru the individual R/H speaker without needing to reconnect to SonosNet or system. I can even re add the 2 speakers to a steep pair again with no problem. However, overnight the R/H speaker will stop playing in a pair and I have to repeat the same process. It is not dropping network or Sonos net connection overnight. I have removed the whole system and reconfigured it all again but same thing keeps happening. Also, recent software updates (latest = 15.7) removed my System Name from the config and only retained the speaker products. Had to re enter the System Name multiple times as keeps forgetting this setting. Also, when streaming from Spotify, crossfade does not work, tracks cut into eac
I have 3 Wifi access points in my Home. The broadband router is on 2.4GHz channel 1, and a pair of powerline APs are on channels 6 and 11, so there’s minimal overlap between the three. My Roam Alexa and Roam SL are set up as a stereo pair and stand on the same desk as the router, about 1 metre from it. Despite this the Roams regularly connect to one or other of the powerline APs despite the signal strength being considerably lower. Why? I’d expect the Roams to go for the best signal. The only difference I can see is that the router only supports a 20MHz channel width while the two powerline APs support 20/40MHz.I’d really like the Roams to connect to the router and start there so they can get straight out onto the internet. If they connect to a powerline AP then any data to them has to come in through the router, out through the local Ethernet powerline adapter, across the ring main, into the remote powerline AP, and out from there over Wi-Fi to the Roams, which is so unnecessary. An

I have 4 speakers in our dining room. I would like to rename each so it is easy to make adjustments like indpenedent volume levels. For example I would like to rename one speaker “front” another “bar”. etc.
I have a 4 year old Samsung TV (model UE43RU7400U) and I’m looking to buy a Sonos Arc.On the back of the Samsung I have three HDMI ports, one of which is labelled HDMI IN 3 (ARC). Is this suitable for the Sonos ARC?Cheers
Now that Spotify issue has been resolved, I have a question for Amazon Music users. I use to pay $10 for Amazon Music along with $10 for Spotify until I dropped Amazon for Spotify. Back in April I joined Amazon Prime & paying monthly for now. My understanding is that joining Amazon Prime gives me access to Amazon Video & Amazon Music. I installed the Amazon Music on my Sonos app so I could access the music while listening Sonos. When I select the band/artist it goes into shuffle mode. I cannot access the album in song order. Even if I were to go to Amazon Music app & Airplay it to Sonos app it tells me I’m in shuffle mode and if I want to listen to the whole album in order I would have to sign up for their upgrade? I don’t want to pay extra to use Amazon Music if I already have Prime.
Can we do this setup ? In Front Right and Left with Sonos Amp connected to the TV along with the Sub and at the back (Rear) will take Era 300 or Sonos 5 , is this setup will work as 1 Surround setup or not ? I don't want to use Arc , I want to use Right and left in wall Sonance Speakers with Sonos Amp + Sub + rear, back Speakers either Era 300 or Sonos 5 , can we do this setup or not.
Newbie here!We are renovating our kitchen/living room and I never had any pre-wiring experience and do not own any Sonos products. So far most of house is automated by Alexa and I would like to keep it that way. Red area marks the couch/viewing space.Potential areas for rack set-upBlue X - Under the stairs closet Green X - Garage I definitely want to pre-wire for a home theater but also want to start the journey of automating the whole house speaker system. Need recommendations on what kind of system I should look at, what the main considerations for a pre-wiring any suggestions on articles, videos? Thanks in advance!
