I have 2 Sonos arc setup, second one was only bought couple of days back. Other one is in my living room we used to get moderately good sound around level 20, now we have to bump it to around 45 to hear properly and to get good room filling sound have to go till 80. And the new arc is in small bedroom felt that sounded even lower.
We’ve just had a new kitchen extension (8m by 5m) and I’m wondering what best music set up would be? I own a Sonos one but I understand I can’t ’stereo pair’ an old ‘one’ with new era 100…option 1 - buy 2x Era 100 stereo paired and a sub mini grouped togetheroption 2 - by 1x Era 300 and sub mini groupedWhich option would give me best sound fill? option 3 - buy another Sonos one and just stereo pair with existing Sonos one - and no sub Any advice would be appreciated
I mean seriously, how understaffed is the team in charge of Trueplay?Everytime when new iPhone models released, it’s not weeks, but months of waiting for Trueplay being available on the latest iPhones. So Sonos, can you check with your team on this years timeline on that?
This might be a workaround for some Android users to get Trueplay without having to borrow an iPhone. Not an inexpensive workaround, so it's up to your own cost/benefit analysis. Buy the cheapest iPad you can find. I found a discontinued model on sale. It works for Trueplay and has now become my sonos controller. It sure was a lot cheaper and less hassle than switching to iPhone. Plus, I get to dip my toes in the Apple waters FWIW. Hope this helps someone.
Wondering the best config for a riding arena. I have 4 play 3’s (from 5-6 years ago), 2 fives (late 2023) and am happy to buy another pair if needed. The arena has good coverage (several nodes) from a decco/tp-link wifi 6e tri-band mesh network. I’m wondering a couple specific things. Should I be pairing the speakers or leaving them as individual? Also, will I have a problem trying to connect so many over such a large distance as a “zone?“ Also, will it be better to have them across the arena from each other down the long sides or better to have 1 on each short side as well? Any other thoughts or advice would be welcome as well. Thanks in advance for any feedback.
Hello everyone, I would like to upgrade my Sonos components to have a really good sound for classical music. I’m noit accustomed to thinking in terms of the new surround sound type of all-in-one speaker, grew up with the idea of 2 passive speakers to create a stereo image. A connection to TV would also be nice. My first thought is the Arc plus two One’s, or the new 100 or 300 series. This can get rather expensive, is it worth it compared to a $2000 pair of stereo speakers attached to my Sonos Amp. I have a Beam and am not so impressed with the sound quality. Any and all ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Sonos Era 100 paired with Sony-PS-LX310BT turntable was working just fine. Now, no sound. Have tested Sonos speaker with tv, phone, airplay. Speaker works just fine. All updates are complete. The cartridge is not loose. Why the sudden issue with the Sony turntable? What can be done to listen to vinyl with this combination?
We are renovating our home and plan to put in new Sonos speakers in three areas: 1) living room with Beam and in ceiling sneakers; 2) covered outdoor patio with two speakers; 3) And pool area with two outdoor speakers. What is the best way to go about setting up this three zone system with Sonos? Will the Sonos Amp allow me to set up three zones?
have the arc in game room, with 300 eros and sub., exterior sitting area about 25 ft awaycan i link exterior speakers to arc, and whats best model to use for this
Hello To All Of You I’m planning to get The Era 300 soon for my Arc&dual Gen 3’s home cinema-system…as surrounds. I got the Beam Gen 2,Era 100&Sub Mini in my bedroom and i have the opertunety to purcase two pair of surrounds…BUT…i never heard a pair of Five’s play(or the Era 300). So i ask a simple question here. Do i leave my Beam-system as is and add a pair of Five’s in front to use for music or do i purcase two pairs of Era 300 and replace the two pairs of Era 100 in my Arc&Beam-surrounds?. For the Beam-system i only use it for Youtube…so not much of movies. What does the audience(you guys’n girls) think? Thanx….
I have 2 homes and Sonos speakers in both homes. How do I hook up a Sonos in the 2nd house when I already have a Sonos hooked up in the 1st home?
Sonos team PLEASE hire some people and finally make some improvements to the Sonos S2 app on iOS. The experience would have been so much better! PLEASE start with the Lock Screen control as so many people asked before already.
Some time ago I finally gave in to Sonos pressure and upgraded to S2 via my Android Tablet. This gives a limited operation of Sonos. However, I then found that the S2 App will not load on two of my Win 7 machines, the operating system is deemed incompatible. (A third identical one is perfectly ok). Worse still, Sonos 1 will now not load anywhere because my system is no longer compatible and I must upgrade to S2, which cannot be done. I have tried to downgrade my old Play 1 s and Soundbar to OS1 but cannot get this to work. Very frustrating. And No, I do not want to upgrade to Windows 10. If there is any solution I will be glad to hear it. Raymond
Split system been fine for a long time.Today when I start the S1 app (on iOS) it tells me “Use the Sonos S2 app”, but I can’t as I have a Play:5 Gen 1.PC S1 app works without complaint. How can I stop the S1 app from doing this, so I can actually use it?
Hi allI have a fairly old system with a mix of old S1-only devices and some newer devices that are S1- and S2-compatible but running on the same S1 system. All is well. I also have one S2-only device that I haven’t set up yet. I just want to plumb in this new device as its own standalone system, leaving the ‘S1’ system intact. Any foreseeable problems, or tips? I do NOT want to disturb the existing ‘S1’ network and find eg that my newer devices have migrated to join the new S2-only device. Thanks in advance
This topic is older and might not have the most up to date information. Please click here to see a list of more topics around the same subject. I am trying to decide on which turntable to buy that will stream into my Sonos system. I am considering either the Victrola stream Carbon or one of the two Pro-Ject turntables sold by Sonos (the T-1 or the Debut Carbon). I realize that I will have to buy another Sonos device to use one of the Pro-Jett turntable, and that is alright with me. I would appreciate any responses from people who have one of these turntables or who know something about how they compare. I have a collection of records (mostly. cassical music) from years ago that I would love to listen to.
We have a very large open plan kitchen/living area (800 square feet, probably), set up like a + with a small sitting area and small dining area (side arms of +) coming off a large vaulted living room (top of +) connected to the kitchen (bottom of the +), with a sliding glass door to a patio at the top right angle of the +. There are pairs of in-wall speakers in the small sitting and dining areas, and flanking the sliding glass door. we currently have a Play:3 on a kitchen counter, in a corner with a cabinet above it. Although the wall speakers can be grouped for parties we often just listen to the kitchen alone. Should I replace the play:3 with1. an era 300, (or will the “in a corner, underneath a cabinet” placement screw up the acoustics)2. an era 100.2 era 100s, with the second going on top of a cabinet or the fridge or something (or will having them at different heights again mess things up?)
Only my ARC ever works and that's only when it's linked by optical !!!!!! Whole system trash speakers are great when they work, but that's never throwing my whole system in the trash what a waste of 1000s of dollars!!! I would rather thought out 10k in speaker then waste 100s or hours of time!!!
Hi,I am over here at TIDAL and am a mostly happy Sonos customer. I bought a brand new ARC system and was shocked to see that TIDAL Connect is not supported. Would Sonos be able to get this feature added please? This will allow for the highest-quality streaming experience for all customers and unleash the power of both platforms. Please see the below link to get started with TIDAL Connect integration by clicking on “Become a Device Partner”. Thanks!https://tidal.com/connect
Hello Everyone. I'm new here and new to Sonos. Please help me with two questions, as I set up my TV viewing experience. It's a small room with little wall space in the rear. The couch is against the rear wall, which is mostly a window with a bit of wall on either side.First, I'm wondering if Era 100s would be sufficient, or 300s would be better and work well in a set up right above our heads.Second, we don't want them mounted on the wall... rather we're making niches for them. We will put them in the niches with their fronts sticking out to minimize sound degradation from being enclosed in niches. Has anyone tried this? Think it'll be fine? Does the sound come out other than from the front?I really appreciate your advice.
I am a little shocked that Sonos still hasn’t provided a way to export a playlist yet. I have invested a lot into the speaker system because of the quality however being restricted like this is discerning to say the least. I am not sure what the point is now in creating a Sono playlist ever and I’ll keep to only using Spotify or Apple musics playlist features. Sonos I would highly recommend you invest in this feature moving forward.
Hi, I have a Sonos one on one side of a large kitchen would like to buy other units to put on the other side of the room which will just be mirrored/controlled by the existing Sonos unit.or maybe control the old one with a new one. Which one should I buy? Tony
Guys,i plan to replace a single One gen 2. It is used for radio and music and as a very good timer when I bake bread :-) As a single speaker it is a bit too weak so I want to upgrade it to something more powerfull. My first choice is the Move (gen 1 or 2), not only it is bigger and more powerfull but I am liking the fact I can put it in other areas of my home easily. I doubt I will use it outside, but who knows. My other idea is one Sonos era 100 to put in place of my One Gen 2 and a single Roam to try and see if I will ever use my speaker outside. Oh and the discounted price of Move Gen 1 is very tempting…What do you think?Neven
You can’t delete a song from Sonos. Sonos is grabbing the song from your source, which could be a disc or a streaming service like Pandora, Tidal, etc. You need to go back to the source, likely on a PC or computer, and delete it there.
