I have a bar and am currently using two Play 1s. I want to buy two more Play 5s and pair all four speakers. so I can place them on all 4 cor ers of room and keep volume lower but equal throughout space.
I received a Sonos play 1 speaker as a gift, never used this before, don't want to sound dumb, but can I play this speaker through my mobile Bluetooth by itself without a Sonos system?..I downloaded app, followed the directions for set up, but doesn't connect, I have T-Mobile as provider and doesn't require Wi-Fi..am I missing something here?..ty if can explain..🎶ohh and is this speaker Bluetooth compatible, because it don't have icon.. although it said it was trying to connect, but never did and my mobile doesn't recognize this device???I confused!!🙄
I have a paired set of play:1 in my living room and a playbase. The play:1 pair keep loosing connection to the network.
Does anyone else use there Sonos system to listen to books and podcasts from Audible? Just feeling like the music aspect of the system is the most important thing and any other type of listening is not a big deal. I love being able to go from room to room while listening to music or a book without interruption. What frustrates me most is not being able to find books by title or author in the Sonos system (even before the app change). Opening a book in the Audible library and sharing it with my Sonos speakers works. I wonder why it The problem with this is that the book doesn't show up in the "recently played" list.At present, starting in the past few days, I can't do the share between apps because when I share, the volume on the speakers comes on at 100%. Starting this morning, 8/4/24, there is now no way of controlling the volume, that still comes on at 100%, because the app is not acknowledging that it is playing anything.
Hi! Hoy do I Connect my Sonos SL to a new wifi signal?
If I stream sound to Era 100/300 over Bluetooth or over the line-in accessory cable, can I get that sound to be played in sync multi room over other Eras speakers in the same WiFi network?
Trying to assist someone with slight hearing issue to better hear TV dialog without turning up the Beam soundbar so loud. We added 2 Era 100 speakers to it, sitting one on each side of sofa, but they don’t play the voice / dialog. Is there a way to make them just mirror the soundbar? Or even just be the primary? Or… so they just become a 2nd set of speakers. We don’t need 5.1 surround, and he doesn’t want to have to put on headphones. Would really appreciate any help
I last played a deezer song a month ago and when I have returned to app today Its STILL there and I can not change or remove it from the screen.I have re installedappand its STILL there. This followed the original fault of not connecting at all to Deezer last month.I am at the end of my tether with Sonoa now HELP appreciated cos quite frankly the speaker is currently USELESS to me
Installed the new app and was prompted to upgrade my Play:1 during system setup. Upgrading has been going on for several hours now and seem stuck on about 75%. What shall I do?
Due to Sonos refusing to play my Amazon Music playlists appropriately I removed the service from Sonos and attempted to re-authorize. However, as I follow the steps to add the service, it stalls on a screen with this message: “Authorizing Amazon Music Account...” Below that it shows the Amazon Music logo and the spinning circle directly below that but refuses to proceed/complete. I’ve updated everything and my accounts are all compatible (Unlimited). Despite several attempts, the account refuses to proceed after as long as minutes. Samsung Android telephone. Please advise on how to move this forward and complete the authorization.
Just got the Era 300 and I’m using latest ios on 15 pro max iPhone. When I start the advanced true play calibration it crashes after exactly 2 sec iinto a message stating “there is something wrong …”. Is there a fix for this?
I am writing to express my extreme frustration and disappointment with the latest update of your app. This situation has brought me to the brink of packing up all my Sonos speakers and putting them in storage. Since the update, my experience has been nothing short of a disaster:1. Speaker Detection Issues: The app intermittently fails to detect my speakers. They appear and disappear at random, making it impossible to manage them effectively.2. Grouping Problems: When I try to split the music in one room from the group, the remaining speakers stop working and cannot be re-grouped. This has rendered the multi-room functionality unusable.3. Playback Failures: None of the speakers will play music after attempting to manage them through the app.4. App Connectivity: The app frequently loses connection with the speakers and is unable to detect them again.5. Google Assistant Issues: The Google Assistant voice feature has been unable to connect and function properly for months. The support wait
I’m a big fan of Sonos speaker and I bought two era 300, two ones, an arc, a sub mini and a roam, however, it’s been really lame when streaming Music on my Sonos. They either just stopped playing or skipping songs… if it’s just once a few days I might ignore it, but it’s been a while that I have to unplug the speaker to restart, some times I need to do it multiple times a day, and now I just don’t even bother and just use Bluetooth, and that only works with my era 300s and roam. i called in the CS, they said it might be because of the new app update and Sonos is working on fixing it. Anyone else is having the same issue? When will Sonos speakers work properly?
5 rooms full of reviously working sonos gear.Music is playing, neither sonos or spotify can see or control the audio flow. Volume controls snap back, room joins fail, starting new music fails.Un-installed and reinstalled sonos on Android. Rebooted. Spotify can't connect to speakers, nor affect audio levels. Once I was able, with one room disconnected, to start another song, but nothing snapped back to normal. Worked fine yesterday. Nothing on wifi / LAN changed.Events suspected to cause issue: samsung TV switched audio from sonos bar (mute, which caused all music to stop) to BT headphones. Umpaused sonos, music continued. Timeline resumes above. Additionally, changing between 2 wifi systems at two locations, with same ssid and pw, confuses the app, takes 5 seconds to figure out where it is, and let me see the devices.
Anyone else have a TON of trouble with this junk. Took it on vacation, keeps dropping off of Bluetooth and WiFi impossible. Absolutely terrible.
For several months my Sonos app went off and kept telling me it could not connect or could not find any Sonos products on my system! But I have 1 tv boombar and 4 Sonos 1 speakers….they weren’t cheap! And now nothing works or connect to my music services or my wifi
I have a pair of sonance outdoor speakers connected to a Sonos amp. I just added a second pair of the sonance speakers to the same amp. When I play music, I only get sound from the new speakers I added. I disconnected the new speakers and only have the original pair connected and they are no longer playing music. Any ideas?
I went through the set up process of adding a new speaker (the first button in the app to add a speaker) the arc from Costco. It connects and then says at the end it may not appear in the system settings and to unplug and replying it in. That doesn’t work. I then clicked connect to existing system and it scans my WiFi connects to the system i set up but then says I need to do a software update (not iOS) to use the speaker. it takes me to a screen with start update, brings the pop up log in page and I try to sign in. I do (even though I’m signed into the app already) and then it crashes I try again and immediately crashes without letting me type like the first time. Then says to sign in as the system owner but there is no log in now. I can only exit this loop by reinstalling the app or restarting my phone but then it just repeats itself over again. I think this might be a new app issue as I’ve heard the new Sonos app update sucks from a UI perspective
I bought two move 2 speakers and one mini sub. The seller didn't know how to tell you that these unfortunate systems don't work together. I'm returning all the crappy gimmicks. This is the last time I will buy your products. I thought you were a quality brand.
Audio drops in and out (lowering volume then back where it was at) after an hour or so of playing device. Drops increasingly closer as time pases. First maybe every 5 minutes then seconds into each other.Submitted a diagnostics for this issue. I dont know if this issue could be heat related (34c where Im at) or equipment showing its age. Have not had this issue until a couple of days ago. thanks.*Moderator Note: Diagnostic number removed*
Hi I have suffered for a decade with your software. I have an almost 20 speaker investment and have wasted 100s of hours trying to get your product to work consistently as advertised.WHEN WILL YOU GET YOUR SOFTWARE STABLE!!!!!!
I have a 13 speaker system. Switching songs is an issue with the speakers staying connected. They never come on all at once. They pop in and out of play. Its a long process to get them to come on all at once. What is my issue?
After the latest app update (the one with the redesign), my Sonos roam was deleted from the list of speakers. I tried re-adding it, and it will not register. I have tried deleting and redownloading the app, factory resetting the Sonos roam, rebooting the router (mesh system), factory resetting the router, rebooting my phone (iOS). The app sees the Roam but says I will have to try registering later. The WiFi is flawless and all other devices in the house work fine. The roam worked fine the morning of the app update, so that appears to be the only change.
I have read the supposed fixes for the incredibly annoying issue with the Sonos Arc sounding going in and out. It seems the only so-called fix is unplugging everything?!!!? Since I did that and it keeps happening again a few weeks or months later am I to just keep unplugging EVERYTHING each time? Is this company serious? There must be a better fix or a class action lawsuit to get them to replace and or fix the issue completely?
I’m not heavily invested in the Sonos ecosystem (owner of a single Roam), but I’m looking to extend my home audio setup and have been considering a couple of Era 100s. The app debacle has me very worried though. I even trialled an Apple Homepod for a week, but the experience with that was not good. I don’t think Bose, Bluesound or other systems mentioned here are viable options either for a variety of reasons, so I’m still looking at the Eras.Anyway, my greatest concern is that Sonos is flogging a dead horse with the updates to its new app. My biggest worry is its slowness, which absolutely destroys the user experience. An app this slow at launch makes me think that the underlying software architecture is badly flawed. I was a software developer for 40 years and occasionally heard an adage about developing systems: “first make it work, then make it fast”, which always riled me because the making it fast part never happens. Speed and responsiveness have to be designed in on day z
