Link Airplay Speaker for playback to rest of network

can anyone help

I have 5 Sonos Devices, only 1 is airplay compatible, I want to play downloaded purchased music from my phone, is linking possible to play music via  Airplay to all speakers into the rest of my network?

Yes. Get the music playing to the compatible device, and then Group the other rooms you want to share the audio.

Thankyou for the reply , the solution does work but not consistently, most of the time when I set up airplay through mymusic , switch to the Sonos app, group then press apply the airplay drops out , it’s so frustrating I guess it’s not the way Sonos expect the music to be played

Just checking you are grouping correctly:

  1. Airplay to a Sonos compatible speaker.
  1. Open Sonos App, and swipe up, select the speaker you are AirPlaying to, will have the AirPlay symbol.
  1. Then add other speakers/rooms to that player.

Try it the way I suggested above, and see how that goes.

On the off chance that this is relevant: I’m running S1, and on the iPhone controller under Settings > System > AirPlay there’s an option “Group Non-AirPlay Products”. I recall when I first started using AirPlay I needed to fiddle with this option to get things working.
