Why won’t my Play:1 and Play:3 connect after a short power cut? I have factory reset both products and also reset the S2 app…all to no avail. I cannot reconnect the Play speakers and this has been over a week now, but somehow my Beam seems miraculously immune to any issues whatsoever and has remained constantly connected! You couldn’t make it up. Why is Sonos so clunky and difficult to use? Has anyone had a similar issue or maybe help with any advice?
I can't connect any Sonos gen 1 products to my new sky 5g hub … even though it says it's split into 5g and 2.4g
I have a SL speaker in my garage I want to run 24/7/365 but that never works. After a couple days the music stops, I go the app and tap play and away it goes again. Why does it just quit playing music?
Please see the images of our living room area, Era 300’s were placed on floor behind Sofa on floor stands, made room look untidy, cramped for space and cables etc Previously had Play 1’s mounted in bookcase on virtually empty shelves thes were less intrusive and better for general music, was persuaded to upgrade to Era 300’s whilst great for Atmos and movies, placement in middle of room is not great for music. Have played around with having them slightly higher and wall mounted and generally happy with sound. Just need some advice on best position to mount as rear left is in a corner and rear right slightly more open location. Aware Trueplay will deal with most of issues. Should I mount at 2m above floor leaving only 40 cm from top of speaker to ceiling so will need to mount upside down. Should they be flat against wall or angled in at approx 45 degrees?TV and Arc in process of being wall mounted, desk size reduced and Sofa moving back about 1/2M System Sub Gen 3Arc UltraEra 300 pair
Hello there!I need your advice on where to place my new Era 300 on the back of my couch. After some reading I would place them where the green “Xs” are on the picture. Please disregard the crazy red circles. They are both:- 1.5mt from the floor (about 5ft)- 1.2mt from the ceiling (4ft)- 2mt from each end of the couch (6.5ft)- 1mt back from the couch (3.2ft)What do you guys think?Cheers from Italy!
I have a play one that has been working on the Sonos S1 controller app. I recently took it on vacation and it looks like it somehow was updated so that now it will only play on the new Sonos App. Based upon the Help articles, it says that I can downgrade it back to the Sonos S1 controller app but I can’t seem to figure how to do that.
For months I have had problems with speakers disappearing from the app and then reappearing. I would try to play music in say 4 rooms, and it would play in 1 room but not the others, then all of the rooms, and then stop randomly and one of the rooms would disappear. So so so frustrating.I have a big range of speakers - Ones, One SLs, Era100s, Era 300, Beam, Subs, Amps, Connect - all over the house.I thought it was my new Unifi network so i spent ages modifying that but still I had the issues. Then I realised the most common issue was in a room with a Beam. I just upgraded that using upgrade credit to an Arc Ultra. AND MY ISSUES HAVE ENTIRELY GONE AWAY!!!!I can now use the app like the good old days - all my speakers are there (including another Beam in a different room) and I can add and remove rooms from playing music and it just works. I can change volume - AND IT LETS ME DO SO STRAIGHT AWAY!!I am so happy and wish I had upgraded that Beam months ago. I have no idea what this has done
Currently it is not possible to add the IKEA Synfonisk speaker to a zone. I just recently got an Era 100 where that‘s possible and it would be amazing if the feature could be added to the Synfonisk speakers as well.
Hi everyone,I'm repairing a Sonos Sub Mini (no power, no LED).After extensive troubleshooting I found:- Capacitor C713 was burned (replaced with 10µF 50V 0805)- Chip U702 was defective (confirmed by oscillating output voltage 10-15V)The original chip U702 is marked: 1342ENACE GJRSF in a SOIC-9 package (5 pins one side, 4 pins other side, body approx. 5x3.7mm)I replaced it with NCP1342ENDCEAD1R2G from onsemi, but the output voltage is still oscillating 10-15V.Can anyone confirm:1. Which exact NCP1342 part number is a direct replacement for the 1342ENACE marking?2. Has anyone successfully repaired a Sub Mini by replacing U702?Thanks in advance!
Hello. Apologies for my poor English. For anyone experiencing issues with the power supply for the Sonos Play 5. The fault is that the IC supply voltage in the converter fluctuates between 7–15V.If the typical faults on the primary side have been ruled out, please check the secondary side of the optocoupler. I’ve had three such cases recently that repair shops couldn’t resolve. It seems to me that the adhesive degrades the resistors over time. Best regards. The photo shows the correct resistor values.Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
We have 11 Sonos devices in our home and group 9 of the together virtually every day. However, each morning, the group has dissolved—no group is present. Why does this happen?
I can’t add my Sub 4 to my « Living Room » where I already have 2 x Sonos One, 1x Five and 2 x Era 100.The system does not propose to add it to the room.
I have 3 stereo pairs. Eras in kitchen and bedroom, Play 1 in study. Have had all speakers drop out except one of the pair in kitchen twice, and today all but one in bedroom. It’s exhausting trying to repeatedly fix things. I always have to break the stereo pair in the involved room to start restoring sound to all.
I have Amazon music set as my default music provider on my speakers but when ever I ask via Alexa for music to be played it defaults to Spotify free and invariably just plays something random or related to the artist requested.I have reauthorised Amazon music, rescanned for speakers and even removed Spotify as a service provider in the Sonos app, and set Amazon music to default again, yet somehow my speakers still defaults to playing from Spotify free, not sure how or why.
Hi Sonos.Set up in Living Room:Pair of Sonos One SLPair of Era 100PlaybarAmazon Echo DotWith Alexa command I can control the speakers individually but as soon as I group them the Playbar refuses to play. Can’t get my head around it. Has anyone had this issue?Cheers Jay
I have an arc ultra, sub four and two era 300s that comprise my home theater surround system. As near as I can tell I should not need to add anything else, but I am wondering if I can.The other thing I’m wondering about is can I take two era 100s Into an adjacent room for the purposes of listening to music or will that conflict with my surrounding system since the second room is very close to my surround system?
I have wifi issues - every single day. bell 3000 modem this is recent it works sometimes I unplugged all the devices and went through the process of reconnecting now I am stuck is it worth persevering or should I throw them in the trash
Hi everyone, simple question - are the KEF R3 Meta speakers suitable for the Sonos Amp? Does anyone have any experience?
I have a record player hooked up to the Era 100. Main reason I got it because of the direct line in, so I usually want my record player sound playing on the whole system.I would love if you could configure the long press pause/play button so that all available Sonos speaker in the system group TO the Era 100. Currently it only seems possible to group the Era 100 to other speakers that are already playing music.
At about 0830 hrs GMT today my Sonos S1 system suddenly stopped playing. I was prompted to open S2 app as the only device found was my Roam 2 which uses S2. I have done all the usual things several times: Unplugged router, unplugged all devices and then re-connected them all, pressed buttons to get orange lights flashing, but this time nothing resolves the issue. It appears that something may have been initiated by Sonos, by accident or design, to encourage (force) S1 users to move over to S2. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Is there a simple way to pair my Sonos speakers with my iPhone? Reviews of the apps indicate difficulty, costs and primitive development.
I am not sure where this topic now sits in terms of complaints, but I have now cracked connecting my Music Library to my Sonos app.1 - Your music library must not be in a sub folder. I save my Library directly to the D drive on my computer2 - Go to your Music Library and right click so that you can see the properties 3 - Go to sharing 4 - Click on Share and ensure your system in “shared” and must be set to Read/Write - you will get a 913 error otherwise 5 - Ensure or system is sharing Media 6 - You should now be able to add your Music Library to your Sonos app 7 - Your Music Library should now be visible on your app
I purchased speakers and amp through Best Buy which is being fulfilled by Ultra Discounts Corp. Will they be covered under warranty?
My inline service isn't coming over the Sonos speakers, even though it shows the sound is playing in the app
I recently bought a new Nighthawk router. I have an Arc on one tv and a Beam on another. Both speakers are still working great. When I open the Sonos App, neither shows up.From what I can tell, I need to change the WIFI info stored on the Arc & Beam to the new Nighthawk.I can’t seem to make that happen using the app itself, but have read that if I plug the Arc into the Nighthawk with an ethernet cable, it will transfer the new Wifi info to the Arc, which in turn will update the Beam.I will then be able to see them in the app.Sound right?I don’t want cause problems since they’re working fine at the moment. Thanks in advance for your help.Steve
