Speakers

They made me buy a new router to my home and I can’t connect my play:3 and symfonik bookshell speakers to new wifi. The app on my iPhone does not find the speakers, it only says that can’t find a speakers.So i reset the speakers, no help there, put a ethernet cable in and one of the speakers, play:3 starts playing, ok , that's good, but the app won’t still find it and when I unplug the ethernet cable music stops.Elisa, finnish company says that the problem is with Sonos because my speakers are so old and the new router is new, top of the line product with 5g and 5 giga system…What I can do next?

I have a new Sub Mini. I have added it to my system and it shows up as Sub Mini not assigned. If I go the room I have named Library the App tells me I have a stereo pair consisting of a Play 1 left and a Play 1 right. I also have a box which says Connect Sub + and Remove Sub X. If I press Connect Sub I get a new window which says “Let’s add a sub to Library” I then click on Continue. I then get a picture of a Sub Mini and I I am asked to select the sub. I then collect on select. I then get another picture of a sub mini and a box which is a long horizontal slit. A black line Strats to go across and then the screen changes and the message “There was a problem adding your Sub Mini. Check the network connection and make sure that your subject is powered on.” Underneath is a big exclamation mark ! in a circle. Below that a “Try again” button.   So, as far as I know the Sub Mini is on. It has a steady white light and my system can see it. I have no idea how to check my ne

I have multiple sets of speakers and soundbars.  I finish playing music in Room 1 - tap stop icon.  Later, I go to different room. Open AppSelect music/playlist... Option is Play - no way to say where... Now Playing is prior playlist and prior speakers. Seems a simple task for customers with multiple devices.  Any suggestions? 

Sonos sucks and I will start a company to compete. You were warned, idiots.

Once again having updated my router I find that the play  1 will not find the WiFi without the ethernet connected.This has happened every time the router is changed or upgraded but usually gets sorted after cable connection. This time nothing..product not found continues with the orange light flashing on the speaker indicating no IP picked up.Not a great advert for Sonos if this happens regularlyAny fixes for this apart from " buy more new Sonos stuff" ?

Adding a pair of era 300’s in stereo to an existing stereo pair of era 300’s (same room) possible??If not when. 

So I recently bought an Arc...now there’s a new version - I don’t THINK it makes sense to try and “upgrade” (try and return and get the new one)I bought an Arc for $899 last month.  Is it worth trying to return for the next gen for $100 more?I also want a sub...If I return my Arc for the Ultra, I think I’d go with the 4, but if I keep my current one, is there an advantage to the 4?

Hello, new to the forum. I have a play one Sl that I can’t connect to my new router. I have other units that have paired no issue just this one. I have wired it in for the moment and works ok. However when I try to create a surround, I choose the speaker it’s playing from the app and the wireless one will not work and asks to add to the wifi network again. It will not add if the wired one is in. If I reset both then add the other play one it pairs ok. But still can’t pair the Sl, that has to go wired again. The system was all ok before I upgraded to the pro hub 2. I can play them all together no issue just this pairing issue that’s possibly causing the surround issue too? I have spoken both to Sonos and Vodafone but still getting no where. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated and sorry for the long postMany thanks

HiMy SONOS setup is as follows;1 * Play 1 (not hard wired)1 * One SL (not hard wired)1 * SONOS Boost (hard wired)All running S21 * TP link network routerSONOS App running on IOS and Windows desktopI predominately use my setup to access a “ripped” MP3 music library that sits on windows share on a Windows 2012 server configured with SMB2. The SONOS app has been configured to use this as a music library - all has worked well prior to S2 upgrade. Now when selecting tracks they play erratically - on IOS give a “Content unavailable” / on Windows gives “an access denied” type error. A track that didn’t play one minute will then play if I try again 10 minutes later - all totally inconsistent and no pattern to any of it. Checked and rechecked share / NTFS permissions to Music Library location - all ok. Checked Windows 2012 firewall rules - all ok.After spending 45 minutes on a call with SONOS - they have told me that my setup is

Hi all, I have a new soundbar arc , gen 3 sub and an old play 1 speaker . I have the s2 app installed in my phone and have all showing on my s2 app even the play 1 . I can play music on the play 1 fine and also on the soundbar fine but they won’t play together in the group. If I try to play through the group it will play on one and if I try to select the other it says sorry can’t connect. Very odd. Should I be able to group the two speakers even through the play 1 is old ? Thanks so far 

When streaming YouTube all Sonos products randomly go to green and volume goes away and switches back to tv.  testing if disabiling consistent volume setting in YouTube fixes this.  Sonos support please advise. 

I woke up and my Sonos said it was not able to see(Bluetooth) my system(speakers Sonos one) and I’ve not gotten it back. I’ve :reinstalled Sonos app factory reset my Sonos one speakers  reset my router                                                And I still can’t get my speakers paired with the app help me

Hi everyone,so I have up and running 3 Sonos One (Gen 1) speakers since forever.Today, however, I noticed that one of them does feature a different hardware-version number than the other two — 1.21.1.8-2.1 VS 1.21.1.8-2.2Given they‘re all Gen 1, shouldn‘t they all come with the same hardware-version?  Appreciate your insights! Cheers!

Since the new app was introduced, my pair of Era 100 will not stay in sync. The delay from one speaker to the other keeps increasing. After setup, withing a day when I turn them back on there is an “echo” due to delays. Within a couple of days they get even further apart in timing to where it is totally unlistenable.If I reset my router, this most often seems to fix the problem, but I don’t want to have to do a twice daily reboot of my router, nor was this necessary at all before the Sonos update to the new system.If I try to remove the stereo pair and then recreate the pair, then only one speaker will have sound in the pair.So I end up power cycling the speakers, rebooting my router, have issues with the speakers being found, then finally put them back into a stereo pair, but this is crazy. I have wasted so much time on trying to get these speakers to stay working as a stereo pair. None of the updates have made it any better.I have tried giving the speak

A device is connected with router1 and B device is connected with router2 with same account.Then, is it posssible to control B device with sonos app when phone is connected with router1? 

I have many Sonos products, including ARC, Play 5, One’s and 2 x Play 3’s.Suddenly the Play3’s stopped working, after resets, they appear in App & Computer, and play together, however won’t group with any other product, it just says “Unable to Connect, Please try later.I have factory reset, and got everything else working, The Play 3’s work together, just not grouped with other products. Any advice?

Hi there, I have a set up with 4 Era 100’s and one mini sub. now I bought 4 Ikea bookshelf Symfonisks and successfully set two up in one room as a stereo pair. However the other two just will not connect. It says they are connected when I install them but they don’t showup on System settings (and yes I unplugged and replugged) and interestingly they never connected to the wifi during set up so I’ve factory reset both of themmultiple times but to no avail. I’m certain it’s not a wifi or connectivity issue.the two that won’t set up are going in a separate room to other speakers. has anyone had a similar problem? 

Updates repeatedly fail. Individual speakers require repeated factory resets. Don’t buy SONOS if you want to take it to your vacation home for a few days. Setup is extremely painful and time consuming.

Factory reset my ROAM and connected it to network but whenever I try to add it get errors message “not able to connect, try again later’  

Hardware update this morning. Some but not all EQ related settings changed as far as I can tell. Nothing for the Ace.Anybody have ideas what's addressed this time?

I have replaced my standard Sky broadband router with an ASUS RT-AX58U and everything works fine apart from the Sonos Play1 and Play3 which will not connect.  When I plug the Sky router back in and run the Sonos setup everything works again.Is there a compatibility issue between Sonos and the ASUS router or are there particular steps I should be taking?

I have been meaning to get the Sonos era 300 pair, for my living and entertaining area. The intention is to use the pair and a sub as a speaker system for parties and hosting majorly, I also have a separate TV area where I can shift the era’s as surrounds whenever required.Now, I have two options for placement, attaching design drawings for the same below, since the entertaining area doesn't have too many walls, I am struggling a bit with the placement. I will also buy a sub to give the era's more oomph when throwing parties.It would be a great help to get some opinions before finalising the drawing with my designer.I am also attaching a third drawing which gives area specifications, it's an L-shaped room that is 30 ft x 11 ft 6 in (if only including the entertainment area) the living area extends in that L shape adding another 11 ftPSI will be wall-mounting both speakers. I have a few questions regarding the same - I a

It stops playing music all the time. I have followed every step instructed by sonos and nothing solves the problem. I am ready to trash the whole system and abandon the sonos company al together. They know nothing about sound and tech when put together. And there tech support is sub standard. I will by bang and o for my next system or go back to studio speakers
