Hello everyone,Here’s detailsSonos always been on 2.4ghz private wifi, we have three routers, one for pos system(toast), one for customers, and one for management(2.4ghz/internal5ghz), Sonos has always been connected to the management WiFi. Today for some reason, it has trouble connecting to the management, so I forgot system and did it on the 5g customer wifi, was on the phone with Sonos while this happened, 3-4 speakers connected but two of them were on management wifi and the other 2 were on customer 5g, weird. I had connected to customer 5g on mobile and set them up on that wifi but my system wouldn’t show up unless I was on management wifi. Reset everything and tried again. This time I deleted the management wifi and made a wifi called Sonos just for Sonos. After that, I never got another speaker connected. I would go through all the steps, get to the part where it wants me to type in the wifi password, then it wouldn’t never connect and ask me to try again until it prompted for u
I have a new setup with Arc Ultra, sub4, and 2 era 100 speakers. Everything seems to be working properly except the volume from the speakers does not adjust with the tv volume. If I mute the tv the speakers continue to play. Any suggestions?
My speakers are in a photo studio and I want other people to be able to play their music on them.
I have an Era 100, which I was using only for music streaming (Spotify)Recently I have bought a Panasonic TV and paired the Era100 with it.The problem is, how to use the TV remote, tu volume up and down, as right now is useless. The only way to use volume, is with the slide on the TV, which is really uncomfortable.Another thing which I noticed is: if I am selecting the TV out, and the Era100 is paired, then the sound comes from TV speaker and Era100, which is annoying THANKSSteve
About six months ago my Sonos would randomly just not work from the app. It would work for a few days and then not for a few. Finally it completely stopped and I reset and reinstalled the speakers and app. All was well for a couple of days. Then one speaker would play a different station from the other speaker. Went through the same reset and reinstall process. Also unplugged routers. Now only one speaker shows up on the app. I heard that Sonos recently updated their "system" and things have been glitchy since then. Any advice, suggestions appreciated. Such a great product, very disappointed that I have to go through the reinstallation process every few days.
I have created a stereo pair with my Beam and 2 Play 1s. The connection worked well and I did the Trueplay tuning. However I am watching TV with my beam and am now trying to select my stereo group. The option is available and all speakers show online but whenever I select it the option never activates. Any help how to get the option to actually select and hold please.
I’ve had Sonos speakers for over a decade so am well versed in issues and resolving them. That said I am at a point with a relatively new Sonos One SL (Oct 2023) where I’m close to ditching the thing. Almost every month, for no reason we can fathom, it disconnects from the system and I have to go through the entire factory reset, setup from scratch. It’s the only thing that works. Even then I often have to do this several times until, again for no obvious reason, it returns to the system. the other speakers are and have always been rock solid - two ancient Play 1 and a very old Playbar. This sound familiar to anyone - any help would be appreciated.
I have a gen1play5 which is not being seen by S1 app having done as many fixes as possible with technician and my own research. I have newer S2 system speakers also. Can I set up the gen1 play 5 in a wired way with some S2 speakers?
Is there any way or update that can reduce the minimum delay (75ms) of a Sonos system, to a maximum of 7/10ms ? As it is now, its impossible to integrate properly with another system that cannot be delayed due to live performance reasons. Therefore going to Sonos in this scenario its a deal breaker, unfortunately.Looking forward to your reply and thank you very much for your time.Regards,Miguel Escada
Sonos mini update issues error :30 and error 1000
So I just switched to an ASUS Mesh Network. The ASUS app shows which mesh node the Sonos devices are connected to, but for whatever reason a bulk on my Sonos Devices show offline (even though they aren’t). The odd thing is some items are listed twice (offline and online) Some by the IP address and some by the MAC address and some are only listed by the IP address for instance my Sonos Arc Ultra, my Beam Gen 2, the Move 2. From what I can sort of tell the main speaker show up correctly, but if I have it set to a surround (2 rears and a sub) those devices show up offline by their IP address and online by their mac address. Any idea what is going on here?
Sonos strikes again. i now need to reconnect to my network even though i didn't make any changes.
I noticed this appeared on my network after installing a Sonos Ray.What is it for?It appears to be a upnp server of some sort.I would like to disable it if possible?I tried support but they didn’t know surprisingly.
Hi. I normally kept my One SL volume pretty low, about 10 or 11 on the slider scale. Now I have to turn up to 30 or 40 for the same sound level. Was there a change to the software volume levels? I’m worried the volume will return to previous levels and the sound will be really loud. Thanks,JK
One of my three Play1 speakers has started to misbehave. It only wants to be solo. All efforts to group it with another Sonos speaker gives me “unable to connect to device. try again later".The system is several years old. Other than a recent Roam2 addition. Why has one speaker gone weird?Tried so far: -Power off & on.System updates treble checked. Most recently I switched the troublesome speaker from Sonosnet Wireless to Wired
Muchas gracias por vuestra ayudaSaludos Moderator edit:Google Translate- Good morning.I have the following problem. When I start playing audio on the ERA 100 speaker, it sounds correctly, but when I want to share that same audio on a ONE located in another room at the same time, it doesn't sound on the ONE. However, if I do it the other way around, playing on the ONE and then sending
I have been working with Sons Tech Support for over 2 months now and still don't have any answers. I have a play base and two play 1 that were having some connections issues so i was lead to do an update. That's when the poop hit the fan. I could not get the play base to do an update with tech support see case number: ********. I was told that this was a know issue and they don't have an eta on when they will have a fix for it. I don't want this post to get deleted so i will stop there and not share my email correspondence with you all but lets just say it was sad. Is there anyone else out there experiencing a product update or registration issue? And if so what is the product you are using and how did you get it resolved….or is my hunch right and there are thousands of us out there that just in limbo?Moderator edit: Recorded and removed case number
I have a pre-amp record player, bought the Sonos cord USB-C to Audio plug and connected to ERA100. I see the signal is working from the turntable into the Sonos as the bar graph is working but no sound is coming from any speaker. The ERA 100 speaker is called “Sideboard” and the device on Line In is called “Turntable”. The turntable worked on S1 into a Play 5. Unplugging the cable removes Line In as a Source on My System so obivously ERA 100 sees the device. What am I doing wrong as all the setup is seemingly ok.
I am tearing my hair out ..!I have 2 Play:Ones, 2 Play:3s and a PlayBar. I upgraded from the S1 app to S2 but have had nothing but trouble. It took about 3days to get the 4 smaller speakers working together and I still can't add the PlayBar: error messages mostly, but even when I get to the end of the connection process and it says it's been added and plays the final chime it doesn't appear in the speaker list. Then individual speakers just disconnect from the account. I love the sound from the speakers but the app and connectivity are absolutely shocking. Any help gratefully received.

I have an amp running speakers in gym and added a sub. After setting it up an assigning it to the gym I get the tone out of the speakers acknowledging that it’s connected to the amp and the app says connected. But when I go back into my system the amp is not appearing in the gym and it’s not playing when select some music. I’ve removed it and added it back at least 5 times and factory reset and added it too.
Hi all.i am having issues with the Sonos sub, whereby it works when using Spotify but does not when using Mixcloud. I have tried removing and reconnecting the sub in the room. Thanks
After a proper upgrade, the device remains play: 1 say no connection can be made
I have tried several times to upgrade Play 1 and even with extended from Sonos helpline, failed to complete the process. Here is what eventually worked:Connect your Play 1 with a network cable to your router, power on your Play 1 while holding down play/pause, wait until it flashes orange and then you can release.. After approx. 2min it flashed green. DO NOT REMOVE THE POWER CABLE OR DISCONNECT FROM THE CABLE FROM THE ROUTER.Go to the app, the Play 1 should be visible and require adding to your system. Add it to your system and agree to the prompts to upgrade the speaker. Continue to follow the app prompts which then successfully updates the Play 1. Then disconnect the cable, and add it to your Sonos system following the + a speaker process of the app.It seems that staying directly connected to the Sonos web site via a cable worked for the UPGRADE rather than restarting and connecting via the app through your wifi. Hope this helps if all else has failed.
