Just purchased the arc ultra, long story short. The sound via the tv is as you’d expected. Sounds really good and an upgrade from the beam. When I try and play music via the Sonos app the sound is nowhere near as loud or as powerful. anyone any ideas? thanks
Why is the era 100 being marketed as a new product? Hasn’t it been out for a couple of years now?
Could someone who has these stands please provide a measurement from the floor to the top of the speaker with the Era 300’s mounted in the stands. Much appreciated.
Hi all -- I received the Sonos Era 300 wall mounts and because of where I will be placing the speakers I want to mount them inverted (upside down). I was following the instructions in the guide if you scroll down the “mount inverted” section. At step 3 it says to “Remove the screw from the mount assembly. Rotate the mount 180 degrees so the screw holes are facing up, then reattach the screw to the mount assembly.” I can’t seem to get the screw out to flip it. I have tried with screwdriver and drill and neither has worked. The screw doesn’t move at all. I called Sonos support who thought the 2 mounts I received might have an issue so they sent me 2 new ones but the 2 new ones have the same problem. Multiple calls into the support # and they can’t seem to figure it out. Has anyone else had this issue and if so any advice on how to fix? Anyone else here able to mount in an invert fashion without any issues? Appreciate the help
Hello,The link (https://www.sonos.com/en-us/guides/era300) mentions that Sonos Era 300 should be mounted upside down if placed less than 60cm from ceiling. I’m thinking of mounting these about 20-30cm from ceiling. Just wondering that instead of inverted mounting, is it ok if I mount them upright but then tilt the mount to make the speakers face downwards (they can tilt upto 32deg)?Any potential issues with this setup? Thanks
I have had my Sonos Five for a few years and mostly has been working without any issues, however a few nights ago it just stopped working for no apparent reason (no network changes on my side etc). I’ve hard reset it many times and it gets to a point where it tries to do an update but fails with always the same error code 1101. I’ve tried this both Wireless and with ethernet connected directly to my router. I’ve contacted support and we have gone through everything, but they have no idea. I’ve asked this to be escalated, otherwise this is an expensive brick. Anybody else have a solution?
Hi!I have 6 Era 100 speakers across our home and 1 Arc. Quite often, when I want to connect my iPhone’s Spotify to Era 100s, the AirPlay screen will load the selected Era 100 pair and display a failure to connect message. Then, if I try a second tlme, it works. It’s not a huge issue, but it used to work and it is getting annoying to deal with every single time. I have no idea how to reset them. Thanks for any input!
Hi all,Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this:Earlier this week, I was at my mom’s place (she has two older-style Sonos Play:1s), and one of the speakers wouldn’t start properly. I reset it to factory settings and set it up again – seemed fine at first, but then the sound started dropping out occasionally for a few seconds at a time.Interestingly, it happened with both speakers, independently of each other. Now I’m noticing the exact same issue at home (I’ve got a larger setup with 16+ Sonos devices), but only the older Play:1s are acting up. Everything else is running ‘smoothly’Is this a known issue? Could it be something from a recent update? Or are these older Play:1s maybe starting to show their age?Would love to hear if others have seen something similar. Thanks!Peter
Hello it is not possible to Connect my new bookshelf to my account
I have a Pair of One SL Surround Speakers. For some reason one of the speakers will not connect to my WiFi. Even tried connecting with an ethernet cable..still no joy. Sonos Support couldn't help either? Wondered if anyone else had had the same problem?
Recently I changed my WIFI password. Tried reboot wifi and play 3 but not able to update network on sono app. Keep showing no product found when trying to update network. Tried reconnect several times but it doesn't work. Can only play using ethernet cable.
Morning!!I have and ARC not ultra and looking to add a sub. I have a very large room and just curious where it should go in the room?? Thanks
Bonjour, depuis la mise à jour hier...mes hauts parleurs ne jouent plus ensemble. Ils jouent mais indépendant.
Multiroom Sonos system. Living Room group has Sonos Amp wired to Mirage tower speakers through speaker outputs and a Rogers Soundlab Sub connected via Sonos sub out jack. Crossover frequency set with app Amp system settings to 65 Hz. Connected wirelessly to home network and other Sonos products on home network. Every couple days I find the crossover setting is back at the 80Hz without having made an adjustment to desired crossover frequency. Is there some situation such as changing speaker grouping through the app, or perhaps transient loss of network connection or power related event that I am unaware of that prompts the Sonos Amp to do this reset to default? Other settings for the Amp remain as set. All components in this group function normally and connection is functional for connection to other groups in system, just this inconvenience.
I can’t connect to the internet with my Play 1 speakers. I have Spectrum and the router is SAC2V2S. I have tried turning on UpNP and changing to 2.4 GHz frequency and rebooting the router, modem and the speakers. I still can’t connect to the internet.
I know this subject has been posted before, I’ve gone through and read many posts about it already, which is frustrating cause so many users agree and have already voiced their own frustrations. Yet after so many updates to the app it’s honestly bewildering why the Sonos team has not provided an easier way to access the Sub speaker controls on the homepage or control panel. Every audio system I’ve ever had dating back 30 years has always had a separate button to turn on and off the subwoofer and it’s usually right on the head unit and not buried through a menu of options. And it’s not as if the function doesn’t exist in the app, there just needs to be a shortcut that doesn’t take 6+ clicks to get to. And on a sidenote, I’m not sure why you didn’t think of this already but shouldn’t ‘night sound’ in the control panel turn off the subwoofer? The whole point is to make it less loud at night time and doesn’t it seem like it would be smart to turn off the sub at night? The button is right
Hello, I have four Era 100 speakers set up in my apartment. I have them all grouped in the Sonos app and use Spotify to play music on them (from my phone and desktop computer). There is some weird issue popping up occasionally, though. When trying to play a song, sometimes only a few or a single speaker starts playing. Sometimes none of them plays. Sometimes they all start playing, then suddenly stops for a few seconds and then jump to the next song.I've tried to switch channels on my router. I've also given each speaker a static IP on my network. I've checked the network diagnostic when the issues occur, but can't see any signs of any degraded connectivity through my routers app.I'm at a loss here. Anyone got some suggestions? One thing worth noting is that if I reset everything and set it up from scratch, then everything works flawlessly for a few days. And then it's back to square one.Best regards! And any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Connecting issues beam with sub and one sl
Spent a few unfruitful hours with the nice people at tech support. Any idea why a system would suddenly not be able to connect? Speakers show up in app. App says internet connection lost, try again later, connection timed out etc.I’ve tried wired connection to router.
My speakers hooked up to TV via Port mysteriously turn on…. I’m sleeping or away and find the last TV station playing even though TV is off
I’ve gone through all the conversations already. One member mentioned replacing this part with a new one, but the rest are just asking if anyone can help find the part. The part in question is an enhanced P-Channel MOSFET, "M054". I’m aware that some boards have the "G64", which corresponds to the DMP3050LVT, but that’s not what I’m looking for. I’m trying to find someone who has actually replaced this component. If there’s any information from the SONOS tech department, I would really appreciate it.It’s unbelievable how cheap electrolytics caused this issue. The only capacitor that didn’t have ESR and was within its nominal capacitance was a Nichicon, which is quite ironic. As for the JACKCON capacitors, well… let’s just say, not the best choice—unless the developer intentionally programmed it that way, perhaps to push obsolescence under the radar.
Which one of these options should I go for? A single Era 300 or a pair of Era 100 and connect them as stereo pair?I have a small room. I will connect these speakers with my iPhone, MacBook and Sony Bravia 3 TV. My primary aim of having these speakers is listening to music, watching movies live streaming channel and play games using latest PS game controller.
ahhh … hours spent with the ridiculous system. After being unable to update the wifi, I finally got the Boost to be recognised only to get the “sign in as the system owner” message. I am signed in. On the app and on the PC. where else am I supposed to sign in? Please let me know where I can sell Sonos equipment I am done with this.
Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum.I hope I'm writing in the right section, if not I apologize.I'm asking for your help on the "Sonos Five" product.I just bought it but I have some doubts, I can't adjust the highs and lows through the application, I move the cursor but nothing changes, while the balance and volume work regularly. What could it depend on?I also have another problem with the sound, on the highs it is too bright/sibilant, while the mid range is not very present, could it change with the break-in time? the bass is fabulous!!!Has anyone had the chance to compare the Era300 with the Five? Can the Era 300 have more relaxed highs and a more present mid-high? For the bass, can I add a subwoofer because I don't think it's at the same level as the Five. It's just my simple thought, but if it's worth it I could do it.Thanks in advance for your help.
https://professionalsupport.dolby.com/s/article/Dolby-Atmos-and-Dolby-Audio-over-AirPlay-Application-Developer-Guide?language=en_US just went through this site with detailed guide on how developers can enable Dolby atmos via AirPlay on their devices with AirPlay 2 support yet Sonos maintains the same response that Apple hasn’t allowed third party speakers to use AirPlay 2 for Dolby atmos streaming what is going on? Need clarity as my Sonos era 300 system has been a pain to use via the Sonos app and if I just AirPlay then there’s no point of buying the era 300 as Dolby atmos doesnt work I could’ve just bought the era 100 which is way cheaper and still decent enough for a bedroom sound system
