Hello, I’m a brand-new Sonos owner, and I think I screwed up. My setup:Fluance RT85Schiit Magni preampPort2x Era 100Beam (Gen2)My goal: play my turntable throughout the house and also have surround for my tv. I now realize this isn’t possible when Eras are set to Surround. I can live with just the Beam for my TV, but the Eras aren’t as mobile as I’d hoped (require power). Should I have purchased two Moves instead of two Eras? I’d love for the functionality of listening to the turntable in my living room and being able to pick up and take the music with me to the kitchen, etc. Will the Moves run into the same can’t use with turntable when set to surround issue?(In my defense, I’m a new dad and I’m very tired.) Thank you!
Hi I hope someone can help me.I have 2 x Connect: Amp (Gen1) linked to ceiling speakers in my home. They run off the Sonos1 app.I have just purchased a Roam speaker with the intention of linking the music indoors and outdoors, however this seems to only work with the newer Sonos app. Every time I try to connect to the roam it knocks me off the Connect:amp system. The new sonos app can not find the older speakers. Is there any way to link these devices and thereby extend my music system outdoors??thanks in advance!
Hi all, thanks in advance for your help. So, my Sonos Arc has starting dropping off after a few seconds when using AirPlay. When I try and cast music from my phone it will play for a couple of seconds and then drop. CheersDave
Hi everyone, I asked this previously and I’m no Sonos guru..can Era 300s be set up as a stereo pair in one ‘room’ and also as a home theatre set up in another room and switch between the two?I have Sonos arc, Sonos gen 3 sub and 2 x era 300’sthank you
I have 3 play:3’s which up until recently have been operating under the S2 app. recently they all required update but all give error 30 after the initial update has completed and the app is resetting the play:3. I have tried all the recommended solutions through to connecting the play:3 direct to both my router and my Boost (effectively the same thing). Also performing a factory reset hasn’t made any improvement. This led me to trying to downgrade back to s1, but the downgrade also failed with the same error. getting a little frustrated now… can anyone help me please???
I purchased a new Sonos Ray for my son. We hooked that up to his Samsung TV in a snap using an ethernet cable to his router and the included optical cable to his Samsung. The problem we now have is that my older Play 1s (x2) that I gave to him won’t connect. We can get blinking green lights on both but, they continually fail to connect.Prior to giving him the Play 1s, I “removed” them from the room they had been in and then I reset them using the Play/Pause and +Volume button procedure at my house. At his place, everything seemed good-to-go… until we tried adding them into his newly created Sonos system/network (he never had a Sonos product until now). It would say “Connected” but then kept trying to connect and then fail. After several attempts, we unplugged them.My questions: Could the Play 1s still be linked to my system/account? Do we need to connect the Play 1s via ethernet cables? (It’s my understanding that the Ray will shoot the sound to the Play 1s). Do I need to hold down
Bonjour, la lumière led de mon mon enceinte sonos One, s’est allumée toute seule la nuit, alors que j’ai choisi le mode veille. Quelqu’un aurait-il une explication ?
We live in an old building with the thick wooden walls in most parts. With the 11 Sonos devices spread out through the building and a wired Sonos Boost in a central location the system works mostly fine. Last couple of weeks we have been starting to get entire system drop-outs and the culprit as we can see is a IKEA Symfonisk lamp (most remote unit from the Boost) that according to the Network Matrix jumps between being Secondary node (direkt to Boost, signal 30/29) and Tertiary (connected to the ARC that is in line-of-sight with signal 66/59).During these jumps, music stopps playing in the entire system and in controller apps the rooms are gone briefly and then gets back. Why is the mesh reconfiguring so aggressively? I understand the lag to tertiary nodes but the stop in streaming is worse than a lag I’d say.Can I do something? We have a multi-API Unifi network that I have been testing with Sonos but these experiments have all been disastrous even when trying to follow Unifi and Sonos
Hi there. Am really hoping someone can help me!!! We have recently moved home and had Virgin Media broadband installed with their “Hub 3”. However my Sonos is not connecting to it. The Sonos app is giving me the attached troubleshooting suggestions, but I can’t see anything in the router settings which would allow me to action that (please also see attached). Can anyone help me please? Thanks a million.
Hi,I already have a Beam synchronised with my TV that is working well.I would like to add 1 One SL (only bought one) as surround speaker in order to have a home cinema but the app doesn’t allow me to do so. It says that « two compatible speakers are needed to add surround speakers ». Does it mean that two One SL are needed to install surround speakers synchronised with my Beam ?Did some of you already succeed to pair a Beam with 1 One SL ?Thank you in advance !
I have a pair of ERA300s. Works great for streaming. However, when turntable is plugged in it usually only plays through the speaker with Line in. After says 15 mins the other speaker will kick in. I have swapped cables and left and right inputs from the turntable and get the same result. Plugging turntable into other hi-fi system does not suffer same results so I am thinking this is related to the Line in on the Sonos.Help!
I have three Play:1 speakers that I was running on my Internet wireless. I no longer have Internet. I do have a new wireless LAN set up and would like to use it to run my Sonos system with a music library on a local Mac mini providing the source for the music I’ll play on it. Is it possible to set this up and operate it with no Internet connection? Setting it up seems to require that I log in to my Sonos account, which of course can’t be done without Internet. I can tether my cell phone to my cell data, but doing that disconnects me from the local wireless network that would run Sonos. Is it possible to set up and run these three speakers without having Internet access? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Got new WiFi yesterday and can't connect my Sonos 5 (2nd gen). I get the 'Let's Fix It' message but then the app just says 'Sonos not found'. Does anyone know how to sort this? Thank you
why won’t my One SL turn on, no led
Hi,I just bought two era 300 to add to my Sonos beam gen 2. I decided to pair them as stereo and not as surrounds because i think it profuces a way better and complete sound than in surround. Nevertheless i have a lot of sound decreases and small cuts during movies and video games. Like every 15 seconds, there is a small loss in the sound which is very annoying. The weirdeist thing is that it does not do that when i put music. It’s only during movies and video games. And I’m connected through wifi.does anyone has an idea what could be the cause? thanks, Max

Current system -Playbar; Sub (Gen 3); Connect:Amp to 2 (actually 4) crappy in-ceiling speakers; 2 Play:3s; 2 Play:5s (Gen 1, not connected as it’s too much of a PIA to try to have an S1 and S2 configuration in the house)HT: Sub connected to Playbar with Connect:Amp speakers as surroundsPlay:3s set up as stereo pair and happen to be in same room as TvI want a much more compelling stereo listening experience. Was listening to Keith Jarrett’s Koln Concert through 3s GROUPED with HT setup (why? because 3s are little and I want to use the Sub) and desperate to get a stereo image. So I want to replace the 3s for stereo listening and move them upstairs. I thought since I have kids who play a lot of stuff through apple music they might like the experience of spatial audio and Era 300s. Selfishly, the HT situation is good enough and I’d just get Fives and enjoy my stereo.Era 300s edging Fives on the basis of more sustainable (newer) but I think they’d compete better with Fives if I had the Sub
I have 2 play 5 Gen1 paired with sub Gen3 in a stereo pair (Vertical orientation). I have ran 20+ iterations of Trueplay from Ipad and Iphone and i continue to notice that the volume on right speaker is way lower than left one. This makes left one loud enough, so music seems to generate from left side of the room all the time. Its more prevalent when i sit close to the speakers. Also the left one is loud, on the face vocals with high treble, right one sounds highly recessed, muffled.Does anyone faced a similar issue and can advise how to resolve? any help much appreciated FYI. Speakers are placed on a speaker stand with no blockages Walls are 5 ft apart sideways from both speakers All components connect wirelessly via BOOST, so don’t have any issues with connection/dropouts or lag Ran multiple Trueplay to check Turning off Truplay, bring back all the life to right Play 5, so speaker aint faulty.
Took me a couple of weeks to make a decision between Bose and Sonos for my home theater/sound system, just a couple of months ago. One of my priority for this system was, and still is, playing music from my phone, local files. Since May 23 a new update just terminated this feature which basically leaves me with a useless bunch of black very expensive boxes. Now, I can't play my own music. Worse decision I ever made in my life when it comes to entertainmemt, sound systems. I wish I had chosen Bose. Feeling VERY frustrated.
So all of a sudden my Sonos speakers would not play Spotify. I tried a bunch of different fixes and ultimately tried disconnecting from Spotify in the Sonos App. When I went to add it back in, it would not let me. It said something like cannot connect to Spotify. I called customer service and we went around and around. At one point they could see both speakers in my system and I could not. At another point I could see one and they couldn’t see either. We tried to run a diagnostics check but it would not connect. We tried rebooting my Wifi. This did not work. Basically nothing on the App was working corrrectly. I had waited 25 minutes and now been on the phone for another 45. At that point the rep starting going in the direction of my Wi-Fi blocking the Sonos app and started talking about me downloading the Xfinity app and check and reconfiguring my Wi-Fi so it could read the Sonos signal. Frustrated at this point, I said I would call back later. Has anyone ever experienced this problem
I had a sonos system in a house that I sold and left the old sonos equipment behind. I am having a new house built and getting a new sonos system and want to know how I delete the old products on my sonos acct
Hi, I have a Play:3 and 3 x Play:1, originally connected via wifi but we have recently changed our router and ISP. Initially, we would get repeated internet dropouts but there was still a wifi signal present. By a process of elimination, we figured that the Sonos was causing the internet dropouts so I connected a single Play: 1 via ethernet then turned the power back on to the others. For a while this was ok but quickly we lost internet connections again whilst still maintaining a detectable wireless signal. Can someone please point to some help somewhere with a simple to follow set of instructions as to how I can solve this as at the moment, I have several hundred pounds worth of Sonos that is useless to me.Thanks.
I'm so disappointed with Sonos system right now. We've spent a lot of money 💰💰💰💰 on our system. Just had to throw that out first. The problem we've been having for quite a while now is a connection problem. Seems like this was not an issue until a couple years ago. If we have one speaker running the system performs well. If multiple speakers are running the system cuts out. It's not a network problem. It's a Sonos problem. I've just about given up on the system
I see there is a common thread among play 3 users that experience sudden power failure...I am now one of these people. I have had my play 3 alongside several other sonos products, all of which have performed well over the past few years. Yesterday, my play 3 suddenly stopped working, and I have come to realise that it will not power up. Have tried several cords, several outlets, etc…I did not lose anything else i the house, had no CB pop, so doubtful any major power surge came along, but nevertheless, the play 3 seems dead. Any new ideas to try? Has sonos admitted yet that there is a porblem with these products? Thanks
In my home office, I have 2 Rays. One is attached to my Gaming/Entertainment PC and this Ray is paired with 2 Ones and a Sub. Sounds great. I attached my second Ray to my work laptop so that I have better sound during zoom conferences. This works very well with the addition of an analog-to-digital converter between my headphone out and Ray. So both Rays work well. Here is my question: Is there any way to connect my work laptop Ray to the Ones and Sub in the same office?
