Both of my Play 3 speakers quit working around the same time and now wont turn on. I have tried the factory reset by unplugging, holding the play button and plugging back in. No luck and no light with either one. Any suggestions? Thank you,
The subject of Era 300 drivers being silent in a particular use case has been broached in this community many times. Below are a few examples:Some users have noted that the inward-facing drivers are not as loud as they expected, while others have found the audio experience to be great. There is a desire for more control over the drivers, with some users suggesting an option to activate the front drivers during music playback, especially when the Era 300s are not being used for home theater. Some users have also expressed a desire to be able to use both sets of drivers, while others are happy with the current setup. As you can see the opinions are varied. For the record this author finds no problem with the Era 300 driver configuration(s). However, that’s not to say that you should be of the same opinion. I will add that the question of Era 300 design (IMO) is answered by @Jamie A in the post below:https://en.community.sonos.com/home-theater-229129/era-300-rear-driver-is-silent-with-a
My S1 set up includes 3 x S5 speakers. 2 are set up as a stereo pair and the 3rd as single room speaker. Over the past few weeks these speakers have started continually dropping their volume when the system is first used in the morning. Increasing the volume works, either by using the app or the volume buttons on the speakers, and corrects the volume for a short while and then it drops again. At the same time the lights briefly flash orange before returning to static white once the volume has dropped. After an hour or so of use this settles down and the volume remains stable for the rest of the day. The other speakers in the system are not affected, several x Play 1 and a Beam. I have tried unplugging them for a short while before plugging them back in and several times unplugged all the speakers and router but this hasn’t improved the issue. I also have a Roam which operates separately using the new App.All system updates have been made. Curious why this should have suddenly started
can't play the same music at the same time in my Era 300 and sonos 1 (gen1) but can play different songs
I would like to request the following feature:Let’s say you have many rooms with speakers in each of these. You are currently playing music in one room, but are going to one of your other rooms. In this situation, you are currently able to continue listening to the same music in this new room, by holding down the play/pause button, and grouping with the other room, but since you have already left this other room, it would be nice if you could instead just transfer the music from the other room, to the new room, and not have it continue to also play in the first room.I suggest implementing this by e.g. a double tap on the play/pause button, while holding down the button during the second tap. So if you just long press on this button, it groups with the previous speaker, but if you double tap + long press, it transfers music to this room (basically grouping with one of the rooms already playing, and when you release, removes all other speakers from this group)I personally think this woul
I have a problem in my sonos arc ,like when i play any song in my sonos arc there is a sond that come like “crackling” sound. And it’s specially comes when bass is higher or i increase bass in arc so give me some permanent solution.
Has anyone else experienced volume changing when switching between sound sources?
I have old products but they still work and sound great so I really dont want to upgrade if I dont have to. I have an old play 1 and Play 5 (from like 2015 or something). I just cancelled xfinity and switched to a t mobile gateway. It is connected to an eero mesh wifi system. I connected my play 5 directly to the wifi router via an ethernet cable. by holding down the mute and play button on each speaker it started playing music but the app cant connect to the system or find any products. I have tried rebooting the modem, router, and speakers but still no luck. Luckily I like the music that is playing but I have no way to control it since the app cant find the products. Any ideas? Thanks!
My playbar and sub work fine on streaming but they drop out when playing my music library, all the rest of my speakers do fine . I ve got two speakers hard wired. Sonos sucks so bad but i m heavily invested
Hey there! A few weeks ago I moved to another department, so I noticed than the volume of the spekaer it’s lower than a normal use on the another department. The room size it’s very similar and the wall material too. For example, on the another departen used level 30 and on the new the normal volume it’s level 55-60. The Atmos sounds a little lower than stereo. I tried factory reset and setup trueplay to many times but nothing works. Someone haped a simmilar issue?
HelloMy sonos play 5 gen 1 doesn't work. I have no led turn on even if I disconnect an connect a new power cable. Can you help me?Thanks
I’m using a Sonos Era 100 stereo pair connected via Bluetooth to a Google TV 4K streamer. I’m really impressed with the sound quality, but there’s an issue — the audio sometimes stutters, as if the left and right speakers momentarily hiccup. It feels like a plane gliding smoothly but suddenly hitting air turbulence. This happens about once every 5–10 minutes. Is there any way to fix this?no issue with wifi streaming,
I’ve been a loyal Sonos user for years. Two or three years ago, everything worked flawlessly — I could ask Alexa to play music, group rooms instantly, and enjoy a reliable system that just worked. Now, it feels like a never-ending battle just to get sound playing. Speakers constantly drop or need to be re-paired. Alexa almost never works — I keep getting “station not found” or similar messages — so I always have to open the app manually to start music. Even then, certain speakers show up while others disappear and then reappear minutes later.I’ve spent hours trying every fix I can find online: rebooting the router, reinstalling the Sonos app, re-pairing speakers, resetting Alexa, rebooting devices, toggling between my regular Wi-Fi and 5G network… nothing provides lasting stability. It’s incredibly frustrating that a system that once felt bulletproof has become this unreliable. I really hope Sonos acknowledges the ongoing connectivity and app instability issues, because longtime customer
Hello all. My father in law has a play 3 in his dining room, playbar in the the lounge and we bought him a play 1 for his garage.Up till now he has run home wifi with a sonos BOOST in a room closest to his garage to help the play 1 work. However recently he wanted more wifi signal in his garage and workshop so he bought a uniFi wifi switch which by the sounds of it creates a network extension into his garage. Now the Play 1 works for a while and is spotted on the app. But then starts to drop out and then eventually sonos app can't find the play 1 at all. To add to the mystery he plugged in a play 3 in the garage and it worked faultlessly and has yet to drop out or disappear.Neither one of us are network orientated. So any help on why the play1 is misbehaving would be great. His words are below of the issue: "Ref sonosHouse WiFi is supplied by Vodafone. Cable from Vodaphone router to UniFi switch. So house is Vodafone. Garage via switch comes up in the garage ( network ) extension via
New Sonos devices drastically reduce my wifi speed. Like a lot. Can’t work. And yes, my router and service are fine.
halo,my name is Marius and i have a question:how to group a beam 1,sub and 4 play 1?
Since the last update, I’ve been having issues streaming from Sonos Five. I’ve noticed in my router logs it seems to be switching from Ethernet to Wifi and have no idea why. My Sonos Five is connected directly to my router by a ethernet cable. Over the years, I have had more trouble with Sonos than any other device.
My Sonos setup:4 rooms:Office: Stereo pair of One Gen 2 (left) & One SL (right) (both on 5 GHz wifi) Living Room: Sonos Beam Gen 1 (on 2.4 GHz wifi) Kitchen: One Gen 2 (on 5 GHz wifi) Bedroom One Gen 2 (on 5 GHz wifi)All running the latest Sonos firmware (91.0-70070)My network:1x Eero Pro 6 (running the latest Eero firmware)(I used to have a second Eero Pro 6, but I’ve recently found that a single unit provides sufficient coverage for my whole house. So I removed the second unit to avoid creating additional interference. The problem I describe below occurred both before and after I removed the second Eero.)All Sonos speakers have reserved IP addresses.-The issue:I’ve found a strange issue when airplaying to the stereo pair in my office, if I try to then move playback to another speaker (still via airplay):I connect via airplay to the Office stereo pair and playback works fine. Sometimes the right speaker starts playing a second after the left speaker, but both speakers play perfectl
Hello - I have 2 x Era 300s on a wifi network and would like to add a couple more smaller speakers to the system to fill out the room. Usecase is music in a midsized room.Budget is an issue so looking at second hand, will older models like Play 1 do the job? Any older models that wouldn't work? Thanks.
I lost WAY too much time on this issue. If it can help at least one person to not lose as much... Turns out that, if you are using your Sonos in a Dual-Stack Environment, if you only get Name-servers over IPv6, Sonos is unable to use them. Your name-servers NEED to be reachable over IPv4 for Sonos to work. Hopefully, this bug gets fixed soon as more and more ISP’s are transitioning and leaving the legacy where it belongs.
I have recently had a new Vodafone router and now my Sonos One Gen2 will not accept the WiFi password.I have done a factory reset of the speaker, rebooted the router, switched off the extender, connected to ethernet cable and none of these actions have allowed connection. I have even tried connecting to my phone via a mobile hotspot, but exactly the same, does not accept password. All other devices have connected to the new router without any issue.Any advice before I throw it in the bin !Thanks
I have a One and One SL that stopped working at the exact same time. No power surges, limited use. Sonos will only support the one year warrantee even though the speakers were hardly used, I wonder what would cause these to fail in tandem? The mother ship was no help at all and this makes me consider any future purchases. After the app release screw up, inconvenience and suspicious failure, I would you be careful out there folks!
I have changed my home router and my existing Sonos one speakers cannot connect to WiFi. I have followed instructions for re-booting and re-factory setting but speakers will not connect. Any advice would be appreciated.
I cannot pair my speakers, just bought the Era 100, and returning because didn't like the size for my kitchen. Will possibly order the Play 2. Only thing is a neighbor gave me his old Sonos One’s same thing happened there. When i group them the sound goes off on both speakers. Worked with tech support, they tried a bunch of things none of which worked. i gave up. rebooted my home router 5x, on same network, unplugged my arc and plugged back in, so whats to do here? shouldn't be this difficult. tech support suggested i turn off DHCP on my router? lol, or put my router into bridge mode? im not pairing my router with another router?
