Do I need more than one speaker in a room for the best sound experience?
I’m using an android phone connected line in on my Era 100 and the volume is very low. I have it set to 10 (max) on the line in settings, which is only slightly better than the lowest settings. I’ve tried different cables between the Sonos line in adapter and the highly rated USB C-to-3.5mm DAC adapter plugged into my phone with the same results. The volume at 100 sounds like 20 over wifi. Any help would be most appreciated.
Hello All Good People I have been planning to purcase two pair of speakers in near future,and one of the two pairs would most likely be the Sonos Five’s.If i buy these….what brand stands are you prefere to use. I belive there is Flexson,Mountson and Sanus by brand…and yes we are in Europe if somebody was wondering.And the Five’s will be in white colour.

I have been running a Project turntable to a Sonos Play 5 via line in successfully for several years now. I recently picked up a second hand Denon DN-C615 CD Player. I have tried connecting via Analogue Out (Red and White) into the Sonos 5 via line in. It plays and has volume fine, but the sound is very twangy (sorry no other way I can think to describe it)Wondering if I need an Amp or some other sort of intermediary?Any assistance greatly appreciated.
I’ve been a long time customer and really love my Sonos system that I have added to over time. However, in recent weeks we’ve been encountering a number of different issues including:Different speakers randomly not showing up in the app (this is not consistent to specific speakers) Sound randomly cutting out of individual speakers while music is playing (also not consistent to specific speakers) Volume randomly changing on individual speakers while music is playing (note that the volume in the app is not changing but the volume of the actual sound coming out of speakers) Sound from the TV routed via optical cable to Playbar cuts in and out (note this is not an issue with the content/streaming since no issues when using the TV’s built-in speaker for the sound) Search within the app takes an excessively long time and does not consistently return results for connected services Skipping tracks in the app does not work consistently (will sometimes hang for a bit before skipping, will somet
HI,I am looking to move or transfer a set of Ones to another location where they can be accessed by multiple people via Bluetooth or even if they have to download the Sonos app, and/or add it to their on system as a separate location if that’s possible. Obviously looking for the easiest way. What I am doing is taking the Ones to my martial arts studio in hoping to have multiple use them. I’m not concerned if any services are carried over. Is it easier to transfer the speakers to a new account and have people logged into that account via the app? I’ve seen numerous responses but, it still leaves me at a loss. This is the breakdown of what I am trying to accomplish.*Setup a new or separate system at the studio.*Have the ability for multiple people use it via Bluetooth or app. Thanks in advance,Mark
I have a SONOS system consisting of 4 Play:1 devices and a SONOS Boost device. These have all been working fine until I went from the typical WI-FI system on my modem, to a mesh system. I finally got the Play:1’s to work, but for some unknown reason, the boost will not connect. I have tried numerous times. After each attempt, It would say “Your mobile device couldn’t connect to your Boost. Make sure the Boost is connected to power”. I don’t know why it has to be so difficult! Everything is says to do is already being done!I have tried so much, that I don’t even think this Boost is necessary anymore. I thought I needed it to boost the wifi signal to each device, but not sure anymore
my gen 2 play 5, linked to my gen 1 playbar, have recently been having syncronisation/delay issues and it’s more scary than ever when listening to Radiohead 😁 Seriously, why is this happening and how can i get them back in sync?
My Sonos system, which has worked seamlessly for years, suddenly won't connect to my WiFi. Before going through the setup for each of the 6 speakers, I'm checking if there's a current Sonos issue or if there's something I might be missing. I've already tried the basic WiFi network resetting steps. Appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.
I have 14 products in my Sonos System. i recently changed my broadband provider and this has played havoc with the system. I want to run th system off the S1 controlllerduecto having a ConnectAmp that is incompatible with the S2 controller. I had to downdrade 4 products which was donecsuccessfully with the help from support. However I have 5 products that show a spanner symbol with dot and “not registered”. When I try to register them with “link to my account” all shoe a set up error and suggest checking the internet connection. which is fine. Can anyone help me fix this?
I have a pair of Sonos Play 1 speakers as part of my larger system. Both speakers are working fine, and I’ve set the “Status Light” setting on the app to off. One speaker’s light is off and the other is flashing. Why is it flashing and how do I correct this? It flashes whether I’m playing music thru it or not. Oh, and it’s a white light. Thanks.
Sonos Play:5 (Gen 1 ) stopping randomly for 5-10 sec when playing Spotify but works fine with Tidal. I have done everything Sonos support suggested. Sonos support said that it is a internal memory problem (to small memory for high-res streams). But Spotify is far from high-res and Tidal works fine.
Not sure what's the deal here. I have dolby Atmos for home theater enabled. If I select any other settings, no issue.
recently i was listening to my S2 speakers. Sometimes i use the voice feature to raise or lower volume. Well, today i tried to increase volume, all of a sudden the speakers were wide open. i immediately unplugged unit... could i have damaged my speaker?? it still sounds good, wondering it i could have damaged speaker
Hey, during a Sonos S2 app upgrade, the Dolby Atmos logo is lost in the app with previously spatial audio songs on Apple Music, even Sonos Spatial Audio list misses it. It worked beautifully earlier. Is it broken or is the logo just omitted in the app?
Diagnostics number 163658452is there any update yet on the progress of a fix for Era100 connecting to Sony BT turntable but no sound? I’m hoping there is good news very soon or my pair of Era100 will have to go & be replaced with another brand of speakers.
Feature Request: I am a huge Sonos fan - with multiple rooms, Stereo Era 300, Stereo Era 100, Stereo 5’s, and an arc 5.1 home theater and even a Sonos connect to drive my hot tub system. I would very, very much like to add a second sub to my stereo 5 setup (yes, it's a lot of base), but the room and music are asking for more. I am contemplating leaving Sonos speakers and using a Sonos Amp and non-Sonos speakers and subs to do it, but I would prefer just to add a second SUB. It's just software and an extension of what you can do on the home theater please enable this.Thank you for considering it - if someone knows a way to do this I would value that as well. -jamieA separate note is very interesting how the Era 300 pair and the 5’ pair sound so different in different rooms. The Era 300 pair do not work well in a bedroom with a lot of soft fabric and surfaces. The 5’s sound amazing in that room. Hi, have been using Sonos for 10+ years now… have a couple of devices and my Play:5 (or S5) has an update available but wont do it with error code 30 - have reset it, connected it to cable and all that stuff, it just wont update.That is a stupid thing to begin with, but WHY ON EARTH cant I use it anymore? It worked JUST FINE until your damn apps found some update for it.Is there any way to ignore/skip that update? How hard can it be to keep the device usable? Its so annoying that a software issue blocks perfectly good hardware from being used. And it not really a bug but seems to be more a stupid design decision.Kind regards from sunny Norway,Thomas
Hey there!I have a pair of Sonos era 100 since a few weeks - everything worked perfect so far…I use them as a Stereo Pair (L+R) - sound is amazing…Most times i connected my iPhone or iPad with bluetooth because with Wifi are sometimes few seconds where the speakers set off… so that’s why i mostly use bluetooth…I always was connected to the right one with Bluetooth cause its just necessary to connect to one of them to have the stereo sound… since a few days I connect as usually but you don’t hear a sound…but I didn’t change anything… today I tried to connect with the Left one with bluetooth and it works like before… so my question is: what happened with the right one? Is there a damage?
Hi, I have a customer that has 4 play 3's she wants to wall mount can anyone tell me what the screw size is as I can't find one to fit. Is it an imperial size ? as I’ve tread an M5 but it only turns a ¼ before it stops because the threads are not the same. Hence is it imperial size. Thanks in advance

I have Sonos 300 in the living room and Sonos 100 in the kitchen and want to be able to sync/pair them to play the same music simultaneously, how do I do that?
Good morning,I was working at my desk and my cat was wandering around on my desk as he always does but there he had been behind my Sonos Five and instead of going around for the very first time he climbed on it with these paws. As a result, he turned the sound on loud while walking on it and I wonder if that could have damaged the speakers of the Sonos Five because I now find the sound muffled and especially in certain pieces I hear hiss crackling.So reassure me or how else do we get a replacement?Thanks in advance
