I have new TV (LG) and unlike my old Panasonic TV I can only have one audio channel out ,I,e, HDMI or Optical or Bluetooth or ……. My wife needs hearing aids so we have to use an Oticon TV adapter to stream sound to her hearing aids, which means the Sonos Beam is connected from the optical out port of the Oticon TV adapter. Having this set up means I lose the experience of Dolby Atmos on my Beam, but someone suggested to me that I should be able to “upmix” from Stereo or 5.1 signal and remap to Atmos ?

Whole house is done up in Sonos, including a One SL for my 4 year old daughter. … which she likes to set the volume to max, and then put her face directly in front of the speaker. Not good. I have attempted to set the volume limit in the app to 70% for her speaker, but when she uses the on speaker controls it seems to blow right past that limit. Is there any way to actually limit her to 70% max volume? Thanks!
For whatever reason I’m not able to do the trueplay tuning. I have turned off every appliance in my place and sat quiet in front of the tv and still won’t tune, stating ‘reduce background noise’. Probably a separate issue but my Beam is tweaking/peaking at certain stages. I find it happens when there’s a deeper voice speaking and occasionally during music (maybe certain frequencies?). We have a Beam and Sub only and it’s really really annoying that I’ve spent all this money for a less than great sound. Any hopes of making it work better?
Good evening, My system updated to 15.2 today and following this update, all of my speakers’ volumes are easily double what they were before. I run one of my Play 1’s at volume 4 at night and have done for years, but volume 4 is now way too loud and even setting it to 1 is very loud. I have 2x Play 1’s, 1x Play 3 and the latest Five and it’s the same on all of them. I’ve had to set a volume limit of 50% on each speaker but now all of my volume references for me and my family are all over the place which is incredibly annoying. Any ideas?
Hi all, I have a Sonos play:5 Gen 1 and I cannot connect it to the BT Smart hub 2 (2024). I have spent an entire day with the BT support service and tried all options - I switched off the 5Ghz, I also tried the Mode 2 and 3 - but nothing worked. When I go through the network installation, after adding the network password, the process fails. I have many Amazon echo pop also connected to the hub and not sure this could be a problem? I also tried to do the network installation with all devices switched off apart from my laptop and phone. Still did not work. Any idea why this is happening? With the Virgin media hub everything was fine
I have a one and a one sl which I have set up as a stereo pair but the left speaker is louder. I have tried turning them off and back on, in pairing them, re tuning and yes the left is noticeably louder. all driver sound like they are working. One is brand new the other a couple of years old. at a loss now. I have a stereo pair of era 100’s which are in balance. any other suggestions? thank you
We have two Sonos One SL speakers in our salon which we’ve had for nearly 3 years now. Both are on wall brackets set high up. We recently had some bad storms which knocked out power for a few hours. Since then, I have been unable to get the speakers working. I have followed all the recommended steps including restarting the router, factory reset of the speakers, uninstalling the app and even setting up a new group. When I factory reset the speakers, the app finds them and takes me through all the setup. Once it says it’s added the speakers, I look but no speakers and the app is suddenly unable to find them. Once or twice it’s found the speakers but says they are not registered and wants to take me through the factory reset process again. What am I doing wrong? They used to work fine, now they either don’t recognise the wifi group or the app or both.
For the last three days my Sonos system has been randomly dropping out and stating that I need to unplug all speakers, restart the router, plug them back in again. Broadband is fine, so I do not understand what is going on. I am playing Spotify through my speakers
Good Evening to everybody🫶 Anyone heard any rumors of what Sonos will be release in 2024? When(date) are these items “suppose” to be announced? And what do you guys&girls thinks gonna come? Be Well🙏
We have a few speakers in our home and 5 of them have not been working for the last 2 days. The show they are updating. We have tried restarting all of them, resetting the modem, and some times they do not show up in the app and then they load but continue to update.
Hi,I am getting a popping noise in my sub when playing tv through my beam + sub combo. Diagnostic code is 1973409053. Please assist, thanks!
I just purchased a new ERA 300 knowing it was voice enabled, I had no idea that Sonos had dropped Google. So now I have 19 speakers in my house that use Google and 1 that can’t. Who is responsible for the product road map at Sonos, what a joke. I was going to replace 9 One’s with ERA 100’s, that can’t happen now. I guess this will end my relationship with Sonos. I have Nest Cameras and Doorbells at my house and if you don’t use Google the chime will not go to your voice enabled speakers. Does Sonos consider these issues when they develop their products? What a total lack of consistency and professionalism.
Hi, I have a system set up called ‘living room’ with an arc, a sub and two ones. It works great with the TV and i am happy with that. The thing is… I want the same music played in my entire apartment. For that I would need another one or two. Can this be done? Should/can I use the current set-up as is and then create a new one named, say, 'apartment’ for when I play music? That is. When I watch TV I want to use the two ones for the surround sound and when playing music in the apartment I want to use the two from the ‘living room’ with the others in the apartment. Or… what can be done? 😅
I am not using a router. I currently have a modem from my ISP and a deco mesh system. My system consist of three sonos 1 speakers. I have tried connecting a sonos 1 to the deco base. that particular speaker plays about 3 or 4 songs then blanks out. It comes back on after I choose a song in the app. The other two speakers do not connect. They appear to be connecting but do not show when the connection process is completed.I have also tried connecting directly to the modem and none o the speaks show
Hi - my setup has an Arc, Subwoofer and 2 era300s as surrounds. I’m trying to do a trueplay tuning but keep getting an error saying there is interference, reduce noise and try again. I can confirm there is very minimal external noise - I’m the only one in the room, fan and AC are off, nothing else playing. Have tried it multiple times but keep getting the same error. I’m running an iPhone 12 Pro Max running iOS 17.3, Sonos app v15.11. I have also shutdown all other apps and don’t have any speakers/headset connected via Bluetooth. Microphone is active on the Arc and era300s.Any help would be appreciated! Thanks,Venky.
System installed by Best Buy Geek Squad 30 days ago.Arc Soundbar connected to eArc HDMI port on TV.Router is line of sight 9 feet to Sub and 20 feet to Era's. (See photo below)They had difficulty connecting the sub when initially installing the system and it did not stay connected very long after they left. I got it reconnected a few times but now it will not connect at all. Spoke to Geek Squad rep that installed it and she thought maybe it was a bad Sub and suggested she would bring a new one out when she comes here in a week. Instead I went to store and exchanged mine for a new one. Brought it home, hooked it up per manual and still nothing and now one of the Era 300's doesn't connect. I did get a message that a “Factory Reset” is required after hooking up the new sub but it also said that this should only be used for a change of ownership so I decided against it for fear of wiping something out. I have gone through the "Add New Component" several times now and it recognizes that the
People keep posting their frustration with trying to configure Sonos to use a Linux shared music folder as the music library. With my recent update to Ubuntu 22.04, my Sonos system stopped being able to read the Linux shared folder. But I actually did find a configuration that revived access. With recent Linux kernels dropping old authentication protocols, the frustration goes beyond the Sonos community.https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=215375#c43This goes into the [global] section of your Linux server’s /etc/samba/smb.conf:# Allow old client devices (e.g. Sonos) to connect to this machine's samba sever server min protocol = NT1 lm announce = yes lanman auth = yes ntlm auth = yes# Allow samba client tools to be able to connect to old servers/nas devices# (e.g. Apple TimeCapsule) client min protocol = NT1 client ntlmv2 auth = no client use spnego = no client lanman auth = yes
I had problem with my Sonos app losing connection with all speakers every few days. Had to go through the reconnection including switching off router multiple times to find them again. I have a playbar , subwoofer, play 3 and play 1. I had a Google mesh with Virgin router in modem mode but changed to TP-Link Deco 6e thinking it would improve but it got worse.i tried all solutions on the forum, turned off guest network, turned off 5g , wired playbar direct to the primary router and spent 2.5 hours on the phone with support. These led only to brief connections. I then moved my primary Deco6e router 4 metres away from the playbar and have now had no lost connections for 4 weeks. I would suggest trying this simple solution before the other more technical answers. Seems that interference was the main issue.
I have a Sonos Roam. Its been on charge (both wireless Sonos charging base & direct Sonos USB cord) & the red light is continually showing as its charging. As soon as I disconnect from power the red light goes off and it won’t turn on. I’ve tried all suggestions from Sonos & this Community to no avail… The unit is not that old and certainly hasn't had a lot of use…Any suggestions would be welcomed.
Hi!I’ve a Sonos Port in our system and it will not save the room it’s allocated to. After a day or so it’s back to the old room in the settings. Anyone have had the same issue?

Hey all, I have a new Sonos era 100 that I am trying to use as a pc speaker via line in. I purchased the sonos usb-c to 3.5mm line in adapter and a 3.5mm cables to my pc’s line out port. The pc does recognize the port, the sonos era has been set to line in and fully updated, however no sound just a buzzing sound. I have tried another audio cable but same result. Any clue what could be wrong? Defective unit? Bluetooth works fine tho!
All of a sudden my IKEA Symnofisk no longer works - I cannot use AIRPLAY to hear music thru the speaker. It worked fine for several months before this. I have tried unplugging, forgetting the device on network, reconfiguring it.Whats wrong?
