I recently got a Pro-ject debut carbon Sonos edition and i am trying to connect it to Era 300. i followed all the instructions, connected the RCA cable to the Pro-ject provided RCA-Aux adapter and then to the AUX to USB-C adapter provided by Sonos. I can hear the music but the volume is very low and there is a constant static, its a humming sound. The volume of the static noise increases when I increase the volume.

I redid the RCA connections, havent connected the ground to anything as instructed. Is there something i can do to fix or could this just be a fault in-built pre-amp?

Make sure the switch on the back of the turntable is set to LINE, not PHONO. Also try adjusting the Source Level setting higher under the Line In settings for the Era 300 in the Sonos app.

The switch at the back did the trick. Thank you!
